Back having to play music on an out-of-tune piano was a common occurrence at most churches and performance venues, when hiring a professional piano technician was(and still is in some cases) a costly investment. I just listened to it and you're exactly right. He picked the right person to pattern himself after. Not too many people are that gifted. Aaron was definitely one of those elite male vocals of the 90's.
I can already tell who was one of his favorite singers. Not only Uncle Charlie but the late great Donny Hathaway.
He has one of the best voices I've ever heard!
