Subjective opinions within, those who do not understand subjective opinion may be excused lol
ALL music in this video is 100% performed by ME
IF YOU WANTED A NO TALKING VIDEO, ONCE AGAIN GO AWAY HAHAHA jk
TLDR: Over the last few years I completed my personal collection of Minifoogers, outside of the Ring Mod which I don't need another of. So in this video I dive into a bit of the backstory of Minifooger pedals, I also have a Moogerfooger retrospective if you'd like to watch that. I love these pedals very much, paired with a synthesizer or a guitar they're delicious sounding and their analog design pushes things forward in terms of sound scape.

My favorite part of this video is when Noir said "it's moogin time" and then fooged all over the bad guys

I really do love it when Noir starts moogin, even if seeing the bad guys all covered in thick sticky foog makes me uncomfortably aroused.

Would love if @RedPandaLab sent you a Radius, both because of your ring mod experience, and also to challenge your no-need-for-more-than-one ring mod assertion 😉 🙂

I was lucky enough to pick up the ring v1 for 75 bucks on Black Friday! One of the coolest pedals I own!

Awesome vid! I remember watching the Troy Van Leeuwen demo of these pedals and fell in love with them, i immediately bought the MF Drive with the expression pedal after hearing him use the filter sweep. I also own the Boost but now i wish i stocked up on every single one of these but hindsight is 20/20 lol.. I'm pretty sure they know there is a demand for these, maybe an anniversary reissue..

Love the MF-Delay, and it can be quite fun to send some CV from my Grandmother to wiggle the feedback or time knob.

That opening was brilliant! Sounded like a 70s Italian horror movie sting

A few years ago I got so fascinated with the Idea of the MF Drive: so many of my favorite records feature guitars run through synth filters... I traded a Microfreak for mine but I don't regret it at all!

These are some of my favorite pedals ever. The delay with an expression pedal plugged in is permanently in my board. Ring a close second. The designer of the bbd based effects delay, chorus, and flanger has a new pedal company called Asheville Music Tools making incredible successors to the fooger/minifooger line. His delay, chorus and flange pedals are my favorite ever in each of their categories. Hawker is an incredible designer.

Also you can mod the drive pedal to have a pot instead of a switch to fully unlock the moog ladder filter. Really opens up the pedal.

I didn't think we'd see the day! Lovely to have another video and a nice look a the pedal series. A lot of them (as you say) were good but not really stand outs in a saturated space (for drive, chorus etc).

I have a few of these and I absolutely love them. The versatility of the drive pedal is wonderful, and stacking another drive before it does absolute wonders. I've been thinking about completing the set, but looking at those prices I'll probably give it a miss.

I know it will never happen with Moog being a subsidiary of Numark now. But I'd love to see a Moog MP201 re-issue. Like a MK!!?
I own the original. It's solves the problem of what to do with all those patch points on the moogerfoogers.
It only had 4 outputs for CV. But with thoughtful patching and programming you can get a lot done.
Back when I used to perform with it and some Moogerfooger pedals (and a bunch of other gear)
I had a series of patches corresponding to the setlist.
Instead of crouching down and fiddling with knobs between songs I just stepped through the presets.
Well I did have to make two signal flow changes during the set. Moving a modulation from one pedal to another is easy.
They should re-issue it without the gas pedal. Which almost nobody used on theirs.
You could just have an exp pedal jack which doubles as a sync input for those using gate or trig clocks.
I used mine to sync the modulations to the MIDI coming out of my drum machine.
Now what else can sync analog to MIDI and provide multiple LFOs, envelopes and more?
Oh yeah, and that original MF Ringmod was the best I've ever heard. It sounded so musical on bass guitar.
Like the side bands were buzzing along, but the tone and fundamental were still there.

I feel like the MF Drive is an underrated pedal for guitar/bass & if it ever gets a good reissue it will show up on a lot of pedalboards.

Thanks for the demo. At the time the Minifoogers hit the market, 2nd hand Moogerfoogers were hitting Craigslist in Seattle. At a music store I bought a white MIDI MuRF for only $250. I started buying them up. Owned 13 Foogers at one point and now have 10 of them. I wished I had purchased the Minifoogers when they were new, especially the chorus and tremolo. Love Moog!! Bought 3 Moogs in one day back in 1987 for only $250. MultiMoog and 2 Rogues. Since then a Sub37, Stage Phatty 2 with CV out and 2 black Matriarchs. A Clusterflux between the mixer and the filters on the Matriarch is absolutely mind blowing!!
