I mean... It could be correct. It might be literal sensory overload just existing in the circus with so many bright lights when you're already going insane and now you have so many eyes to take in all of the bright colors and lights, it would make sense that a dark void would be much more comfortable than a bright cluttered space.
Kinger is FANTASTIC Alzheimer’s representation, and I lost my grandmother in February to Dementia. I felt seen and felt like I was seeing her again. I genuinely appreciate it so much more than I thought I would
A funny thing about Kinger is that in the Latinoamerican dub, he basically says to the glowing head "sorry, can you repeat it? I don't speak Lovecraftian" lol I thought it was the same in the English version
I’m currently rewatching TADC on Netflix in Latin American, and now I can’t wait to hear Kinger say that. I also really want to hear what Bubble says in reverse in Spanish.
@@MRRSDS51015 There are a few dialogues that change a lil bit in the dub but I think that's normal in any dub for any language. Like, I the episode 2, one of gummygoo's friends say after falling from the sky "I saw the Grimm reaper backflipping" in de dub
This episode transforms Kinger's fascination with bugs and pillow fortress from the previous episodes from comedic effect to emotional weight. It also explains why he was level-headed and open-hearted with Ragatha in Ep 2 while that bucket was covering his eyes.
On the topic of Kinger's wife and the darkness, I think it's the easiest answer: Abstraction is what happens when a Player disassociates to the the point of psychosis. In a world where only your mind is free, insanity is the truest form of death, and abstraction is a physical manifestation of that insanity and erosion. But in the dark, Kinger's wife found measure of peace from her madness; sensory deprivation and the presence of someone she loved soothed her just enough for her to relax, if only for a second.
One thing I love is that Kinger's behavior in the dark was kinda foreshadowed in the previous episode when his head was covered by the bucket while he was talking to Ragatha.
18:48 The way you said that made me realize something. What if part of the abstraction process does involve light, like in the way Nintendo games will recommend you take breaks after playing too long because the bright lights and 3D effects can cause migraines if stared at for a long time. Being in the Digital Circus, with the very bright lighting and eye-popping colors probably does the same thing, but you're in there forever.
Kinger was such a highlight here, his relationship with Pomni was so sweet and learning more about his past was nice. Zooble's therapy session was interesting, they haven't done much so it's nice to see what they think about everything. Though the circus seemingly being linked to Caine's mental state does not look good for our protags
Yeah, and there is a question that is in my head now... can Caine possibly abstract? Because, even thought he is an AI, he looks pretty advanced and has ALOT of personality ( not even couting with the fact that zooble's statement almost made in have a breakdown in this episode) so, can he go insane to the point of abstract?
13:54 Not-so-fun fact: For a split moment, you could actually see a teardrop welling up in Kinger's eye right there (I noticed it the first time I was watching it)
This episode actually made me tear up. I already loved kinger, as one does, but this actually made him my comfort character. He's just a father and/or grampa figure with dementia that misses his wife. -when you want to hug your comfort characters because of all the trauma they have or get throughout the show-
Zooble keeps telling Caine to forget it. So he does, and the two of them probably just keep having the same conversation in circles. Also, since Caine cannot fix the abstractions, putting them in the dark cellar, where they'll at least be calm, might be the best thing for now.
Fun Fact when Kinger had the bucket over his head in Ep 2 he remembers when Ragatha first arrived and when he takes it off he immediately forgets what he said
Sad fact: in the merch there is a pair of socks called "checkmates sock" its Kinger and Queenie's colors (aka purple and red) that is abstracted I hope it doesn't mean he is going to abstract
I think the reason this show always hits me so hard is because on top of showing very real and relatable struggles with mental health, the way the characters react to these things also feels extremely authentic. Just listen to any time Pomni cries or panics, any time a character starts to open up, or even any time Caine shows that slight bit of genuine anxiety or general worry. It all sounds so real, so familiar, that it gets people to feel the emotion much more intensely.
Theory: Kinger made the digital circus The only piece of evidence I have for this is that he said "seven years of computer science for this." I would say he made it because his wife was dying, so he wanted to make a world where they could both live with each other without the fear of getting sick and dying
Kinger and Pomni have been my favorite characters since the pilot so a episode largely centered around them was a real treat. If you watch Kinger he demonstrates good gun safety as well. When Pomni crosses his sight he raised the gun so it wasn't pointing at her. He spins the gun in his hand when Pomni gives it to him. When the angle appears he pushes Pomni behind him both to protect her and so he had a clear field of fire. Also if you pay attention the longer he is in darkness the more coherent and complex his sentences become from simple sentences to a complex monologue about his wife to a speech to inspire Pomni.
I think its really sweet that kinger gives pomni this talk and telling her that the worst thing you can do is making someone feel unwanted and the second she gets out she apologizes to ragatha
If you look back at Kinger in the earlier episodes, we can actually see his lucidity and his attachment to his wife. Kinger first brings up an insect collection in episode 1, most likely because that's what his life would have loved to talk about and we later see what was likely his wife's room when Ragatha is taking Pomni to Kofmo. In episode 2, when Ragatha is worrying about Pomni, Kinger calms her down only when his head is in a bucket, aka in darkness. It's also interesting to note that Kinger hating bugs could also be a reference to computer bugs, as Kinger brings up the fact that he had seven years of computer programming. Finally, the fact that Kinger glows in the dark when he holds his breath could symbolize him as the sun, brightly shining and leading everyone else around them-- while also being surrounded by darkness. Since Kinger has been the longest out of all the others, he is the Sun while they're the planets, with his wife and the other Abstracts being the void and the darkness of space.
The way Caine was trying to work with Zooble but couldn't shows that he is just an AI that can't truly understand how to help them. He believes that he IS helping by letting them choose out of 100 parts and it can't help that he seems to take "Forget about it" literally.
On first watch I immediately caught the trans narrative of what Zooble was describing On the second watch I noticed in the background at 4:10 (in the original video) when Caine is looking for Zooble, there's a wavy wall decoration going baby blue, baby pink, white, baby pink, baby blue....the trans flag.
When it started playing the record thing, my Sister thought of Poppy Playtime, Meanwhile my Owl House fangirl brain thought of the Philip Whitebane diary entries.
And my FNaF ass brain thought of Henry Emily and Phone Guy. Guess it'll be generational that some mf will record stuff for tapes or audio recordings lmao.
I remember seeing a comment pointing out that when Kinger comes out of his pillow fortress, he asks if they were talking about an insect collection. It originally had no meaning, but now we have context, it was actually so much sadder: Kinger was in the pillow fortress reminiscing his wife. :(
The "Creature" was terrifying, possessed pomni gave me ptsd flashbacks to the Haunted Castle episode of Sonic X , and I really really (that's two Reallys) did Not like just how realistically render the dead body of the Baron or whatever he was, especially the: Pomni: "Please don't come to life" The Baron: "alright, I won't" Pomni (and the viewers):👀 And how did he even do that when we fine out a minute later that he's evidently in hell?
This was a very heartfelt episode all around! I Loved the moments between Kinger and Pomni, the fact that Pomni finally started to appreciate Ragatha and Zooble's admition of their problem touched my heart. Happy to see that we're finally moving past "Pomni has an existential crisis over being in the Circus" and get some deeper character development. I think the show is moving at a perfect pace, with conflicts being not too short and also not too long.
Fun fact 1. When kinger holds his breath he glows, ironic cus the darkness helps him remember huh? So caine might not exactly want kinger to remember because it will lead to him remembering thr human world Fun fact 2. Kinger remembered Ragathas arrival when his head was in the bucket. But when it was off he forgot Fun fact 3. Kinger stays in his pillow fort to remember his wife and stuff, knowing that he stays in it for long he probably might remember everything Edit:i looked at the comments and someone already pointed this out. I didnt copy it though
I love Kinger in this episode, the "what" was the funniest thing I never seen in this show and he was the GOAT in this episode and the saddest backstory I have ever seen in a show.
20:05 Same. when I watched this part I also got teary eyed as well. Didn’t expect to cry to a Digital Circus episode yet here we are. 😢 Kinger is the best character so far on top of Ragatha. (hope I spelled that character right)

I can’t help but admire Morgan’s determination to not trust any side characters, whether they’re cute or not. They and Zooble would be such good friends. 😂💜
I HAVE A THEORRRRYYYYY!!!!! So, last episode we all know that Caine said “I cant keep track with who’s a NPC and who’s player” or smth like that, it could be foreshadowing that one of the characters are NPCS! Maybe Jax cause again, we know VERY little of him
This is my observation of why “Hell” in this depiction is seen as more of a dark empty void with no escape, coming from someone who is Catholic Yes, Hell in various interpretations like Dante’s Inferno and media depictions (and even some stories in the Bible) see it as full of “fire” and “wailing” and “demons”, but in a lot of Catholic teachings it boils down to simply “the absence of God”. When people turn their backs on God or reject God in this interpretation, they are literally saying no to Heaven and thus are left in a place that’s an “empty” devoid of life, light, etc, so that interpretation of Hell is very similar to what we see in this episode. I really enjoyed this depiction of what Caine sees as “Hell”, especially with all the other religious themes that have permeated this series thus far.

I weirdly feel sympathetic towards Caine because I truly believe him when he says he doesn’t mean to hurt anyone. He’s just doing what he thinks he’s supposed to do and is trying to make fun adventures for everyone. Caine to me feels like a computer, something created by someone else for the purpose of helping, but like technology, he is capable of inflicting harm or good depending on how people interact with it. Him saying “what is your problem? I’m trying to remember but you and my brain won’t tell me” means he WANTS to help people, but he’s not self-sufficiently intelligent enough and relies on input from people to understand
I mean in all fairness kaufmo only freaked out when his dark room was suddenly exposed to light, and it seem abstracts always have multi eyes and would most likely be sensitive to visual stimuli
13:36 ¡gracias por mencionarlo! vi varias reacciones y eres la primera persona que lo dice creo que esto está conectado con Kinger de alguna forma, sobre todo porque después saber su historia aún no sabemos cómo perdió a su esposa
A thought. The show is supposed to be based on “I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream.” Caine’s crazy but not malevolent like AM. However there’s a theory out there that JAX is an AI disguised as a human. Is Jax meant to be the AM of this show?
Jax grows more suspicious as to what he is, an AI or a human, the fact Caine clearly doesn't understand human psychology paints a darker picture of the abstracted people that they might have been able to be helped but Caine could only think to put them out of sight instead, and the fact Pomni's body could be hijacked adds to the disturbing idea that Caine can write a program to control their bodies, move them around, or as last episode implies he might have deleted the body of a human he mistook for an NPC at somepoint..but if he can't control their mind what happens to someone if he destroys the avatar?
If I had a nickel for Everytime I got into an indie UA-cam show that had a non-binary character explain dysphoria in a way to almost make me cry from sheer representation, I have two nickels which isn’t a lot but weird it happened twice. Kinger cemented himself as my favorite character this episode. The scene of him talking about his wife and is willingly to go back to being crazy if it means Pomni will be safely out of the mansion had me on the verge of tears
The "it was my fault we went down this path, isn't it?" Has to have broader lore implications than just the surface level. All the circus members except Jax are all software devs for the circus, maybe?
I want to cry so badly after seeing this episode not to mention all the jokes are pretty funny and see you go off is what gets me laugh harder also that date is my birthday
When jax is talking about kinger glowing when he holds his breath and the camera moves to kinger there is a mannequin in the background behind the rainbows things 🌈 watching them
Maybe i'm thinking too much but when Zooble says "forget it" do you guys think that Caine actually forgets it since he's an ai? Great video as Always Morgan, keep up i love your content❤
i was watching this one for the first time today and my sibling came in and watched it with me and when kinger mentioned his wife loving bugs, it took me a few seconds to turn to my sibling and all i said was “*gasp* did someone say something about an insect collection?” as my heart broke in two
CHAT I HAVE A THEORY SO notice how Kinger says "7 years of computer science for this huh?" And Caine's purpose is to make adventures for everyone? And kinger's there the longest..and possibly the first.. MEANING.. KINGER could've made the program...and him and his wife Queenie tested it out?
Honestly, the "Jax is AI" theory does make sense since it seems like they are the one pulling random objects out of nowhere like a key, shotgun, or vacuum cleaner. Nobody else seems to be carrying useful objects with them as far as my knowledge goes.
I think the reason Caine always forgets why Zooble is upset is because they keep telling him to "Forget it!" and he takes that literally.
Yh, apparently that was confirmed by Gooseworx. At least from what I hear, take it with a grain of salt.
So caine is the type of AI that works on chatgpt rules

Consider that it was hundreds of eyes in darkness; exactly what he would've seen in the darkness with his abstracted wife.

@@Jay-gurl "real"? okay first of all don't give me an attitude when you had one to begin with, your sentences aren't making any sense grammatically anyway so you're confusing me, two nobody cares if they didn't watch the video they just wanted to comment about something random and it doesn't have to be my business because this is the internet and UA-cam is made to watch and comment on, so 😊 You didn't need to comment anything to begin with because they didn't do anything wrong, I'm not arguing with you because im right and it's not even a big deal, like i! said.
3:23 OH HELL NAH
dementia is the reason Kinger is sane 😞
13:36 ¡gracias por mencionarlo! vi varias reacciones y eres la primera persona que lo dice
creo que esto está conectado con Kinger de alguna forma, sobre todo porque después saber su historia aún no sabemos cómo perdió a su esposa
Caine's name, evil angel, glowing king figure, ghosts, hell?
Is this a circus or the bible?
A thought. The show is supposed to be based on “I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream.” Caine’s crazy but not malevolent like AM. However there’s a theory out there that JAX is an AI disguised as a human. Is Jax meant to be the AM of this show?
i think Caine got the "actual sentient AI" part of AM whereas Jax got the "asshole who likes torturing people for fun" part of AM
I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS!!!
Is it just me or does the Angel monster look like something straight out of courage, the cowardly dog.
20:20 I just thought for a moment: "That's kind of me"
Kinger is definitely dad material
The mansion reminded me of Tessas’s house
You’ll never know when there gone cherish the people around you because they will go kinger is a wise guy
When Morgan asked if Kinger saw his wife, there was a second and unrelated video of a bird nodding.
13:35 what are kinggers eyes like they seem normal to me?? I don’t know what I am missing 😭
kinger is sich a good dad!
also, my theory is that jax was just a child when he first entered the circus
If I had a nickel for Everytime I got into an indie UA-cam show that had a non-binary character explain dysphoria in a way to almost make me cry from sheer representation, I have two nickels which isn’t a lot but weird it happened twice.
Kinger cemented himself as my favorite character this episode. The scene of him talking about his wife and is willingly to go back to being crazy if it means Pomni will be safely out of the mansion had me on the verge of tears
wait what is the second indie youtube show-? i'm curious!
This is why kinger is my favorite character
The "it was my fault we went down this path, isn't it?" Has to have broader lore implications than just the surface level. All the circus members except Jax are all software devs for the circus, maybe?
Kinger almost certainly was, at least. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that he had a hand in programming all of this.
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE CHILDREN IN THE AUDIENCE GET NIGHTMARES FROM THE MONSTERS!
Wow.
I knew we'd cry over Kinger ever since we learned about Queenie's existance (And the goofy insane characters are never that way for a good reason)
I want to cry so badly after seeing this episode not to mention all the jokes are pretty funny and see you go off is what gets me laugh harder also that date is my birthday
When jax is talking about kinger glowing when he holds his breath and the camera moves to kinger there is a mannequin in the background behind the rainbows things 🌈 watching them
I just wanted to hug Kinger after watching this episode 😭
If next is Jax opening up this feelings, I am going to cry
I feel he will be the last one.
We'll probably get ragatha lore before that
I just realized what the Mildenhall Manor reminds me of: Castle Demitrescu. I highly recommend the Resident Evil series for horror enjoyers
Why do I feel like this show, for a supposed wider audience, has the scarier Halloween episode than Helluva Boss, the "adult show"
Well this show is not made for kids so....
Goose is well known for her horror stuff as well as music, so this just showcased that.
Maybe i'm thinking too much but when Zooble says "forget it" do you guys think that Caine actually forgets it since he's an ai?
Great video as Always Morgan, keep up i love your content❤
i was watching this one for the first time today and my sibling came in and watched it with me and when kinger mentioned his wife loving bugs, it took me a few seconds to turn to my sibling and all i said was “*gasp* did someone say something about an insect collection?” as my heart broke in two
Kinger is a good friend to talk to even thoe he is a goof ball some of the times😊😟❤🌈👍🏾
This series is on Netflix. It's no joke.
The good thing is that Netflix doesn't actually have any control over the series though!
"I miss my wife Pomni. I miss her A lot I'll Be back"
CHAT I HAVE A THEORY
SO notice how Kinger says "7 years of computer science for this huh?"
And Caine's purpose is to make adventures for everyone?
And kinger's there the longest..and possibly the first..
MEANING..
KINGER could've made the program...and him and his wife Queenie tested it out?
The moments with Kinger were truly a blessing.
In episode 1 kinger was in his pillow fort which indicated he was hiding from the light from the beginning we just got depth to that in this episode
Honestly, the "Jax is AI" theory does make sense since it seems like they are the one pulling random objects out of nowhere like a key, shotgun, or vacuum cleaner. Nobody else seems to be carrying useful objects with them as far as my knowledge goes.
I didn't think about that! Kinger and Pomni could literally just talk to each other in the pillow fort! Hope that's a thing they'll do
