‘No one wants to live here’: NBA player sells LA home for massive loss

- NBA player Ben Simmons has copped a big loss on his multi-million-dollar mansion in California.
Mr Simmons bought the Hidden Hills house for $26.8 million in 2021 and listed it a year later for $34.8 million.
However, there was zero interest and he eventually sold the house for $18.3 million, which is a loss of more than $8 million.
‘To Di For’ podcast host Kinsey Schofield says no one wants to live in Los Angeles amid an increase in crime.
“Everybody’s fleeing, and no one wants to live here anymore,” she told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
You cannot live in a state that does not enforce the law. Lawless politicians create chaos.
Louder for the people in the back!! Yes sir!
All of the politicians are Latinos...
They enforce the laws, that don't let people defend themselves!
@MooseBme... They DON'T enforce the laws.
You obviously don’t live in LA and you don’t know the laws here and you cannot say whether they are being applied
Because they are being applied, I live here and we are working on our population of homeless people
Stopping disingenuous acting like homeless this is not a problem all across the US in every major city and a lot of smaller towns of populations of 50 k people or more
Don't worry, as soon as BlackRock LLC buys up the majority of discounted properties, a miraculous crack-down on crime will ensue.
Bingo!!!! That’s why they let NYC crime become 3rd world. People don’t think about anything anymore. Half the people making these policies are real estate “moguls”. Michael Bloomberg has over $100 billion dollars. Why else would have wanted to be mayor of NYC? Not because he loves the place. Same with California and Chicago. The people that support the defunding of the police. Or at least the people that paid for the campaigns. Funded the “protests” through various “charities”. We’re billionaires and hundred millionaires that have personal security. They push for soft on crime policies to drop property values. Then they buy it back and “gentrify” it.

Skid Row has grown from 3 blocks to about a third of downtown LA. Between 2014 - 2022 LA violent crime rose 70% . In the same 8 years, a comparable warm-weather beach city with a similar diverse population - Miami/Dade County FL - had a 60% decline in violent crime. What's the difference? A great Republican mayor with a supportive city commission/council, backed by a great Republican Governor and a Republican supermajority in the FL state legislature.
