- If you work on cars you know….This can turn a 30 minute job into a 4 hour job… but don’t worry it’s not that big of a a deal. Follow along as I do a basic extraction. This one was pretty standard. I would give it a 2 out or 10 for difficulty. If you like this type of video let me know. I’m sure it won’t be long and I’ll run into much tougher extraction. Thanks for watching!

It's a good refresher for those of us who haven't done one in years! Thanks for the video!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for taking the time to show this, people won't admit it but simple tips and tricks are always appreciated 👍
I've done a good bit of wrenching on my jeep, but in the past 5 years, I've never broken a bolt off. This is good info.
Consider yourself lucky!
Great job teach!!
Thanks!!

Just yesterday we made several attempts welding a nut to a broken exhaust stud, similar depth as your oil pan bolt to no avail. Kept snapping off. We drilled up just like this and tried an easy out. That bad boy is stuck! The block is currently soaking in our homemade electrolysis barrel.
We will try again with the easy out. Next is one more size up drill bit and tap or thread chaser. Worst case it gets a time sert.
Bummer. Yeah sometimes they fight you all the way. At that point i usually just drill it completely out and re tap it. Best of luck! I’m sure you’ll win in the end!! 😊

You got it! 👍 thanks for watching
Get a set of left hand drills most times the bolt will come out with the drill!!
That only works about 12% of the time and not when stuff is truly stuck/rusted.
