And you are doing exactly what you love and I seee so much of what I have in the clay bowls and pottery.
I've seen that envelope savings, and I've seen people do it in reverse. Very cool way to save money.
I vowed to put away $100 a month, started in December. It is for Emergency only.
I do a lot of laundry, my husband has a lawn business. I started paying myself 75 cents a load. lol Last month, I saved $27.50 I think. By the end of the year, I should have around $300.00. That's for me.
I hope I can keep it up. My husband says go up to $1 per load.
My Mama once made payments on a washing machine back in the day, paying herself .25 cents a load of laundry. That's how she paid for her washer, so I said, why not...I don't miss the money .75 cents at the time. It does add up.

Susan, you're definitely leaning into a more primitive look. I love the way your faux fireplace looks. The only thing missing is a medium size cooking pot, unless I missed one. Possibly where you have the wood bowl. And do you have bowls!!. I found a large irregular shaped one at the Antique Mall with a crack. It was $20. The others the same size and style were $55-70! I lucked out because it was displayed with lots of cookie cutters in it, and people apparently didn't want to dig through to find the tag at the bottom. Everything looks great. You have some really nice pieces.

I love the changes that you have made to your decor. You have a lot of nice prim antiques. I noticed the great little log cabin. I was wondering if that was made by Dean Johnson of Washington Co,MD. He signed and numbered his cabins. I understand he made about 300 of them and they are quite collectable. Just thought you would like to know that and possibly have a new appreciation for it. Thanks!
