If you go to the McDonald's in Sydney there are machines that get the cups and fill them up with drinks. The cashier's have been replaced with those touchscreen machines aswell. This is only in the city not the suburbs surrounding it.

The Carl's Jr's in Mexico have a very fancy vibe. Great customer service. Nice floors and a gray brown color scheme that makes you feel like you are in a nice restaurant. Food is actually even better than the US
This is actually a really good idea, the kiosks would encourage people and even kids to try more healthier options like salads BUT if they really want to implement this they really need to be paying AND treating their staff better (speaking from personal experience)
