everything blizzard does with their animations is absolutely amazing, both story wise and animation. I recommend you check them all out...hard to pick out the best since they are all amazing.
By the way, if someone wonders about that feather that Genji leaves and what Hanzo placed next to his offering, it's another reference to their past. Genji was never interested on taking part of their criminal empire and instead wasted his time having fun. Their father Sojiro Shimada gave Genji nickname "Sparrow" which was meant as an ironic nick name. What I've read that in Japanese culture Sparrows are described as being who are obsessive their honor and especially repaying debts, both traits that would apply better with Hanzo than Genji.
The essence of this animated short, is in the story. It is what fuels the inspiration to these characters. But I see many reaction videos, people keep talking and miss the what the story is saying. And so did not experience the meaningful emotions it carries. Coolness does not exist, without the strong meaning that powers it.
How can you hear any dialogues and how can you react any video when you are always talking?!... (And then they saying, that it was not interesting. Of course it was not interesting, when you not hearing anything trough you murmuring!) Especially green head girl!...

Regarding playing the game or not; The game is only connected to the universe in that the characters from the stories are in the game. But other than that there is basically no story in the game itself, it's all in the shorts, some backstory videos, and a few short comics. The game is tremendous, but at the end of the day, it is just an arena FPS brawler, with no story at all (but a great, diverse set of characters, though :D ).

the music intercut with the narration kind of reminds me of Kill Bill, the scene where Bill tells a story while playing a flute. seems to be some kind of Japanese custom.

If they HAVE to say something during the story-telling, then it should be some insight or realization instead of interrupting (and also possibly distracting the other person watching) with something unnecessary or a lame joke. Most reactions actually react during the actual video (eyes widening, gasps, or single words like "wow" or "whoa") and then save their commentary at the end. This is is as bad as people who go to the movie theater and talk to their friends and ask them what's going on throughout the film.

Араш, They could always pause the video. I definitely recommend pausing anytime when they need to speak more then 6 words at a time.
