I grew up in this era and I guarantee you that the 90s - mid 2000s was by far the best era for HIP POP & Rap- it really hit it's PINNACLE then, and when compared to what we listen to now, you just want to go back to those memories.
In the 90s, my Uncle owned a water park. Went there every Saturday. The DJ booth was set above the pool. And all he played was R&B. I hear songs like these, and I am taken straight back there…teenager swimming in that pool. The nostalgia almost makes me teary. Good times
