From this list I’ve read The Count of Monte Cristo (loved it!), and War and Peace (liked it, but need to reread tbh). I really love Olga’s Drive your Plow over the Bones of the Dead. The Books of Jacob looks amazing, but so loooong why 😅
Lol I can’t even get through a read of W&P and you’re out here wanting to REread? Amazing! Im glad to hear praise for Olga’s writing, I don’t know much about her. It’s a big commitment I’ve pushed myself into, starting with Books of Jacob so hopefully the writing keeps me going!
I really want to read the books of jacob but it’s so intimidating to me because of how unfamiliar I am with the subject matter. Also I’m currently halfway through War and Peace and feel that I need to invest all my energy into reading that instead of starting another biggie
good luck w/ these!! i'm in the middle of solenoid and a non-fic book a distant mirror, both of which i love, but i'm taking a break from them to read the int booker longlist. i started boj last year and did think it was a lot of fun but i left it in boston so haven't gotten a chance to finish lol
I think you’re actually reading the nonfiction books you bought but I’m glad I’m not the only person who went through a phase of buying non-fiction books because I wanted to be a person who will read non-fiction. 😬 But I’m hoping to read at least one a month this year.
so glad UA-cam recommended your video! This video was so good! I am currently tackling The Count of Monte Christo!
Yay! I’m really glad you liked the video! Let me know how Count of Monte Christo goes! I feel like everyone loves it, so it has to be great😊

I love biographies...I'm currently reading Peter the Great, started it last year, Im 30% in. It's a mammoth too, and really interesting.
So far, 2024 has been the year of the memoir for me! Maybe later in the year I will get into the biographies more.
That’s an impressive group of books.
Impressive if I ever manage to move them from a "to be read" pile into the "read" one!

So fair. I almost feel like I have to plan out when I’m going to read everything, knowing full well I will not stick to my plan.
Wow these are truly mammoths! Good luck:)
Thank you! Yeah, it should be “Rest of the Year of the Mammoths” rather than March, but whatchya gonna do. 😂
Thanks for the vid, your channel deserves more attention
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
I enjoyed your video.
Question ??? Would you be interested in selling your The Count of Monte Cristo book. I really like the cover
Serious inquiry ……
Yeah sure, DM me in insta: deadlizardreads

Can wait to watch your wrap ups of those books, post-Booker frenzy 😛.

I definitely was that person for a long time! Non fictions was an acquired taste for me, for sure!
Don’t know about English version, but Russian version of War and Piece has mammoth footnotes
English too! So many notes 🫣
BOJ! BOJ! BOJ!
The crowd began a slow chant,
Single?
Did you love dead souls as much as i am loving it right now?
I ended up putting it down after getting like 40 pages in... I really need to pick it back up and finish it this year!
