I got to know (well at least a part of) this wonderful music when a small child, as the opening was used as the signature tune for a children's' programme on BBC Radio 4, back in the 1950s. It produces in me feelings of nostalgia for an innocent time long past.

I enjoyed listening to the different colors of the instruments in this live recording. Sometimes the polished recordings sound a little too uniformed to me. Congratulations on a fine rendition and interpretation.

nice contrast to the twin piano version. the full orchestra is a bit overwhelming compared to the intimacy of the pianos.

the overall is very average. Strings are mediocre, even out of tune sometimes.

As a string player in orchestra, this orchestra indeed sounds a bit out of tune. Comparable to a high school orchestra.
