“Too much tactics, too little playing time,” says DFB Director Hannes Wolf about children's soccer

Former Bundesliga coach Hannes Wolf is head coach of the German U20 national soccer team as well as Director of Young Talent, Training and Development at the DFB and, in the latter role, is also jointly responsible for the new “Training Philosophy Germany”.
In “Im Kopf des Trainers”, the former VfB Stuttgart coach talks about this training philosophy, which is not only applied in youth training centers in the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga, but at the very bottom, in the amateur sector, in children's and youth soccer.
This is where talented youngsters take to the ball for the first time and where they should have a lot of fun and, above all, sufficient playing time.

Die Aufgabe passt sehr gut zu Wolf. Da hat der DFB eine gute Entscheidung getroffen und gibt hoffentlich genug Rückendeckung, damit er wirklich Dinge verändern kann

Finde ich auch. Bin aber auch gespannt, ob er dann jemals wieder als Vereinstrainer arbeiten wird, wenn er lange und richtig fest dann beim DFB ist... was glaubst du?

@@ImKopfdesTrainers seine Arbeit bei BVB und VFB ist mir bewusst, habe ihn aber stärker als HSV Trainer wahrgenommen. … und natürlich entwickeln sich Menschen weiter
Beim HSV hatte er allerdings mMn kein Cheftrainer-Format.
Seine öffentliche Auftritte im DFB Job fand ich aber sehr gut und glaubhaft. Er könnte evtl jemand sein, dem der DFB Job gut tut (Trainerlaufbahn) und dann gereift via eines Clubs a la Fürth oder Hoffenheim etc noch eine richtig gute Vereinstrainer-Phase hat.
Das tägliche jonglieren mit Medien, Fans, Sponsoren und emotionalem Blabla ist aber nicht so seine Stärke… mal gucken

Klingt alles sehr schlüssig. Vielleicht hat er mit dem Kinder- und Jugendfußball ja aber auch einfach genau seine Berufung gefunden, denn er wirkte auf mich, als ob er sehr glücklich in seiner Funktion ist, er sprühte vor Begeisterung, war voller Leidenschaft und hatte bei der Ausbildungsphilosophie fast funkelnde Augen ;)

Jungen Menschen Fussball beizubringen und zu fördern ist keine Schande, im Gegenteil
