The most important thing of all you can give your children and grandchildren, rich or poor, is something where they learn so much and is simply time, time, a place to learn, to play, have their questions answered.
Yes, it is sometimes a pain to stop what you are doing for a fleeting moment to provide an answer to a question such as ' do worms talk to each other, why are you putting that screw in there, where does sand come from' and a million others, it's easier for many parents to say go and play or turn the TV on, than to take a step back to answer what might appear mundane question to adults, but is so important to the child.
I walk a lot and its sad to see folk with children in a pram, toddlers and older children asking questions about something they have just seen, a butterfly, a man with a big nose, aren't children observant 😉and the adult walks on, ignoring the question, snout stuck in the phone reading or texting something banal on the screen........in the blink of an eye, the child's interest has vanished.
