The best ever.its a shame the ncaa destroyed unlv an that tank was fired with in 2 years of this game for absolutely no reason but In the end tark got the last laff when he sued the ncca in civil court an the ncaa had to pay tark 1 million cash on jan 1st 1997 .I have Pic of tark with a cigar in his mouth holding that 1 million dollar check.not that he needed the money but it was so fucked up the ncaa destroyed unless an in the end they had not 1 shred of evidence of any mis conduct besides a few unpaid phone bills .I heard tark never cashed that check but he had it gold plated an it set on his desk till he died.its a shame 30 years )after unlv has never recovered from what the ncaa done to this team thru would had a 10 year run ateast that only ucla could rivaled an then had tarks wishes been granted Tim Gingrich would been his successor an is the man who trained this team an run all the practice for tark an they'd been a top 5 team ever year for last 30 years but the fuckin low life ncaa had a hard on for tark so the destroyed a whole program an only violation they come up with was unpaid long distance calls. I don't think best team ever. But they are up there. They had Larry inside. Anthony running the show. Hunt and augmen shooting the 3s and scoring a bucket from.anywhere and some other role players that complimented the team well. A Lil lazy and not focused at times tho. But scary good. I loved this ga. Tech team tho. Kenny was my boy. Dennis shooting the lights out. And the inside being handled by very well. My favorite team in this period of my life

Tech shouldn't even have been there, Andersons shot after the clock expired against a much better MSU team. Yet going back and watching a few old games, they could really shoot the basketball. Kind of a one trick pony though if they got in foul trouble.

It was a chilly Saturday evening waiting for my uncle to be released from jail. He had a DUI and was in the Jefferson St jail, in Atlanta and I knew before going to pick him up...I needed his mini-tv so I could watch the game. I was able to watch the entire game as we waited for him. When he saw his television, he said..."boy! What you doing with my TV!"🤣

@@ajswan2386 AJ, it certainly wasn't that they weren't! The Jackets had the right idea from the opening tip by creating an up and down frenetic pace! Unfortunately they picked the wrong team to try and do it against for the full 40! Vegas during their heyday of success were the Runnin' Rebels for a reason! That, coupled with Georgia Tech's lack of solid depth and the altitude, played right into Vegas' hands and Tech eventually wore down after the break! When u have athletes with outside games like Tech had u need your legs and they lost those in the second half! Even the great jump shooters like Dennis Scott need their legs or their shots shorten up! I vividly remember that game well and when Tech continued to push the pace throughout the first half I knew they'd be in trouble with a limited bench

Born and raised in Vegas, still here ("U. N.ever L.eave V.egas")... was the best time ever for the city... I was a young teen & even though the Rebs by far absorbed all of us ("where we as kids chose who we were when playing pickup games with the neighbors" ---i was Augmon or Anthony everytime lol).... But, straight up, the only collegiate parka jacket (en vogue in the 90's) I owned was that of Georgia Tech (still have it)... It was the game where Kenny Anderson did that reverse behind the back dribble from one hand to the other that mesmerized me as a kid....

The 4 keys to the game:
    1. Rocky Mountain High - Moses Scurry with a huge game off the bench, provided a bigger lift than Georgia Tech's sixth man, Karl Brown (who had a solid game before fouling out)
    2. "Augmon" Tation - Augmon had a sensational game and was instrumental in the second half comeback
    3. Kenny do it? - Yes he can! Not quite enough to overcome a more talented team, however
    4. Three point Hunt-er - He hunted them down! 5 big threes shoot down the Yellow Jackets!
