My orthopedic doctor SWEARS I have patellafemoral pain syndrome but my pain is on the inner side of my knee cap. Not in the center of it. Could he be misdiagnosing me? Physical therapy is making it worse, which include quad exercises.
Hey Yesenia, pain on the inner side of the knee cap can be patellofemoral pain syndrome, even though it's not the center of the knee cap. Either way, quad exercises are a bad idea for this. You might need to focus on glute exercises instead. Nice video. Both an orthopedic and sports medicine doctor diagnosed me with this and even suspected chondromalacia, but my cartilage is “preserved” in all 3 compartments per my MRI report. That’s also weird to me because I have a probable vertical tear extending to posterior horn, but isn’t the meniscus cartilage? Have you heard of Plica syndrome? My sports medicine doctor said that it’s a diagnosis of exclusion and wouldn’t necessarily show up on an MRI. I have slight swelling in the patellofemoral joint and in the prepatellar subcutaneous soft tissue, so something is going on. 6 months in, and I just want to walk without pain... :(
I have currently pain in my patella, but I do not do any sport, lately I've been home resting actually, I'm 40, I had the same pain when I was a teenager and I did physiotherapy to reinforce the quadruplex, they told me that my patella muscle was longer on one side than the other 🤷♀️. What can I do to fix it?
My knees feel inflammed when I sit and it creaks when I walk... I'm only 27. When I feel my knee cap I feel some movement. Do you think I fall into this category?
I'm a new subscriber everything you have said about the knee is what I'm going through. I will be going to Michigan to have it looked at. I want to have a mri done. For some reason my left me and and it was my meniscus. I had the surgery and I had a lot of Arthritis. sent it. So they tightened it up scraped off some arthritis. And then I had some therapy and then I was told it would only last 20 years. I got about maybe five more years of that then it would Turn in to bone on bone and I would have to have a horny replacement that is on my left knee. My righte me is so bad right now like I. Said I will be going to Michigan in the middle of them up to see what's going on with that. But I find your channel very informative thank you so much
