I started having mild pain and he discovered a hidden wisdom tooth and according to the surgeon it's chronic. Closer to the sinus and also affected the root of the neighboring tooth now both need to be surgically removed.. Because I have started cleaning those areas thoroughly I have no discomfort at all. Now I'm thinking of starting oil pulling and hold the surgery until I notice some discomfort in the future. I have successfully kept my gum disease under control. Can I also do the same thing for this new problem. My surgery is 14 October..

I m doing gargle since last 2days... Can I know when I will be able to open my mouth completely and remove the stiches 🥺??
Hey Priyanka. You need to do some mouth opening exercises to increase your jaw opening. It should take about 3-4 days more till your mouth opening is restored back to normal. And then it will be a good time to take off your stitches. Are you using hot water or just mildly warm water? Did you complete the course of medicines as prescribed by the surgeon?

Good day doctor, i am in Mozambique,i had my wisdom teeth removed last Wednesday and i stitches,i went back yesterday for removing stitches which they did,but my worry is the pain from the first day they removed is the same ,it only calms down when i take medicine but after some hours it will start again, what can be the problem, please help the pain is too much
Thank you for the informative video Doctor, I got my upper and lower wisdom tooth removed on the left side 12 days ago and still have considerable pain, which is usually around my cheek bone, under my jaw bone, throat (sharp pain while swallowing, restricted to the left side of the throat), and around the ear and TMJ, and my mouth can open maximum upto 2 fingers wide, and that too, causes a sharp pain but it's bearable. Usually my pain tolerance is quite high. It has become better from what it was on day 1 after extraction but still very painful. My dentist says I should just keep stretching and should force open my mouth otherwise it will lead to trismus. But maybe I already have trismus?! I don't know how much should I force open my mouth as it is very painful, despite taking painkillers and muscle relaxant medications prescribed by my dentist and hot water fomentation. I am in India currently but flying out to Australia for 6 months and my stitches have still not been removed as I cannot open my mouth fully. I doubt if I will be able to see a dentist when I go to Australia. Is it going to be okay to let the stitches remain as they are? Will they fall out on their own? How much should I force my mouth open? Is it expected to take this long to recover? and how many more days do you think this will last? Sorry for so many questions, any help would be really appreciated!

I'm terrified right now. I'm having pain in my Wisdom tooth. Made a few searches abt this, then i came to know abt Ludwig Angina 😢 what it's😢. Is that a after effect of extraction of Wisdom tooth? Will the surgery triggers this infection?😔

@@DoctorUpasana I decided to wait for at least 3-6 months as I have TMJD so not yet discussed about guidelines with dentist. he said it's better and sooner to remove them as my age is 24 so it would be easier to extract . @@DoctorUpasana Mam I am just worried about when to remove wisdom teeth as my mouth opening is just a bit more than 2 figures due to TMJD . Actually my TMJD is diagnosed after wisdom teeth removal on my right side . It would be grateful if you provide any suggestions in your videos for TMJD patients regarding this wisdom teeth removal like what precautionary measures to ensure before and after teeth extraction.
There could be multiple reasons for it. It’s not possible to pin point why in your case. I don’t see any Co relation with the extraction though, unless your healing was delayed and the wound was infected.
Hello Mam… Actually I’ve done with my surgery of wisdom tooth extraction. Almost 7 days completed Even I’m getting pain near the extracted area. When I’m using pain killers it’s deceased for 7 hours and again it’s starting ache… Can you please Recommend any medication 🙏
Hey Harshil! I can understand the pain you are going through. Prescribing without a proper understanding of the issue and Medical history taking won’t be possible. Would you like to schedule an online consultation for the issue?
I just got all 4 of mine taken out two days ago and feel a lot of pain on the side where the bottom tooth wasn’t coming out and took the surgeon a while to get out. The right side looks fine but left where that tooth was the gum is red. How long will I be feeling pain from this? I’d this normal?
Hi! Yes it's normal to have redness in the gums after extraction. For the pain it's best to take pain killers and antibiotics to help with the healing. The pain will go down after 2-3 days. You can do hot water gargles untill then to help ease the pain and inflammation. TC!
Mam.... wisdom tooth mein dard hai and in my case dentist said extraction is the only option....but filhal iske supported tooth mein halka halka pain mehsoos kar pa raha hu.....!! a bit worried mam !!
Hi John. Yes, using a mouthwash does help but it won't heal you completely. You might require something stronger like antibiotics. Have you consulted your Dentist yet?
Hi doctor my lower left molar teeth was removed ,stiches are removed..today is 8th. Day i still feel the pain..and big hole is formed.. though i am eating opposite side food somehow going and stuck in the hole..how to remove the food..even after rinsing slowely can see some partickes still stuck in the hole .pls suggest what to do..
It's absolutely ok. Don't worry about that bone deficiency, it fills up on its on. The little food getting stuck there will not interfere in the healing
Hey. Thanks!! It's never advisable to keep a foreign material within your body. Removal of stitches is important. If not removed they can cause a lot of delayed healing and infection problems. Visit your Dentist as per protocal for suture removal. TC!

Mam...almost 10/11 days gone....still feeling mild sensitivity & mild pain in gum or socket...is it normal or needs consultation....? how much time lower wisdom teeth needs to recover fully??
Hi mam, Its been 5 days since I removed my left lower wisdom tooth. Still I feel numb in Left part of the tongue . I couldn't talk properly and no sense at all. Is it normal? Wen will it be cured?
Hey! It seems like you could have some nerve tissue damage as you have numbness still. The nerve of the lower jaw is very closed situated to the wisdom tooth and hence while extraction there is always a chance for nerve damage. You will have to inform the clinic about this as soon as possible and meet with an Oral Surgeon who can further guide you. You will have to take some medicines to help restore the nerve functions. It is a very slow process, so be patient. TC!

@Doctor Upasana one doubt I feel pain at lower left side wisdom teeth i decide to remove that teeth but one doubt it must necessary remove at upper teeth or not ? Upper wisdom teeth is perfect
That's a great question! We usually recommend to get the upper one out as well. Since the lower one is gone anyways the upper one becomes practically useless and there is a chance for supra eruption as well. To prevent that it's best to get both wisdom tooth out.

madam, if you could help me out, I had my lower right WT removed 6 months back, and now got my upper right removed around 2 weeks back. I have recovered but experience on-off odd feeling(not pain exactly) under the jaw/in the throat and slightly in the ears too. Im writing to you coz ideally it should have made sense if the LOWER ones were extracted NOW. Since ive gotten the upper removed and all these things happening in lower part of my right mouth/neck/throat..should I be worried?? Yes if i may mention, in my lower extraction from 6 months back, i did have to get rid of some of the bone + both upper and lower WT were infected.. Given the situation, are my sensations normal?🌷 Would really appreciate a reply, would be helpful.. edit: have also been experiencing an oral sore on the same side of cheek. Just thought i should mention although may be totally unrelated..
Hi! I think it's best if you can take an X Ray at your Dentist's clinic to assess the situation better. Pain and odd feeling is ok untill a few weeks after extraction, but should not happen after 6 months as you've mentioned. This does need further investigation.

I also feel a bit painful while gulping near my throat as may be my mouth was open for a long time during the surgery...? Any advice is helpful.. Currently holding onto an icepack as I type this...
Hi Jon. The pain while gulping and increased salivation is all normal. Don't worry about it too much. The salivation will be better by tomorrow and the swallowing will take about 2 days to improve. Don't forget to have a soft diet and it's best to stay away from spicy and hot food. Best advice I can give you is, don't miss out on the hot water rinses. They are a must!! Start them 24 hours after your surgery, NOT before that!

Good day doctor, i am in Mozambique,i had my wisdom teeth removed last Wednesday and i stitches,i went back yesterday for removing stitches which they did,but my worry is the pain from the first day they removed is the same ,it only calms down when i take medicine but after some hours it will start again, what can be the problem, please help the pain is too much
Hi. Did you communicate this with your Dentist?
Welcome!

Drink lots of water after you eat. Avoid swishing and spitting that water as that could cause bleeding.
Hi removed wisdom teeth one month back. No pain no fever no swelling. But WBC is elevated.reason?
There could be multiple reasons for it. It’s not possible to pin point why in your case. I don’t see any Co relation with the extraction though, unless your healing was delayed and the wound was infected.
If a person has pre diabetes and migraine, is it advisable for the extraction of wisdom teeth?
Not a contraindication at all 👍

Hi! Yes it's normal to have redness in the gums after extraction. For the pain it's best to take pain killers and antibiotics to help with the healing. The pain will go down after 2-3 days. You can do hot water gargles untill then to help ease the pain and inflammation. TC!

Mam...almost 10/11 days gone....still feeling mild sensitivity & mild pain in gum or socket...is it normal or needs consultation....? how much time lower wisdom teeth needs to recover fully??
Better to consult once in case a dry socket is developing. Mild pain is generally ok for upto 2weeks post extraction, just like a little discomfort.

TC!

That's a great question! We usually recommend to get the upper one out as well. Since the lower one is gone anyways the upper one becomes practically useless and there is a chance for supra eruption as well. To prevent that it's best to get both wisdom tooth out.

The pain while gulping and increased salivation is all normal. Don't worry about it too much. The salivation will be better by tomorrow and the swallowing will take about 2 days to improve.
Don't forget to have a soft diet and it's best to stay away from spicy and hot food.
