Thanks for the shout-out bro. Your build is coming along nicely. That tip is key especially since the power band in these cars don't really get past 6k. 🔥 Yeah the typical Tork overboost issue. Get that man a LAP3 2.5 ECU.
I have all the same stuff your buddy has. Tork ECU/TCU and JB4 running my BMS WMI kit. I'll have to try this paddle shifter thing out, I just let the car shift it usually but I also don't get into too many races with people. Thanks for posting the vid, good stuff!
I'd like to see the two types of pulls on a dyno. Automatic shifting vs paddle shifting at shift points. Would be interesting to see the horsepower difference
@@purrly8578 you have to practice and hit them around or close to those points to stay in the power band. So boos stay consistent and it won’t drop as much
How did you mess up your first transmission? Asking so I can avoid it if possible myself. Thanks. And thank you for the insight and all the advice/support 👍
Well I have a drag set up. So my rear tires are 305s and they can get very sticky. So i did a burnout and thought it wasn’t enough. So I tried doing another but the tires where already sticky enough that when I was doing another burnout it stressed the transmission to much. But on top of that, I also did in on regular drive and not on Manuel mode. So every time the car would shift. It would lose power and that’s how it broke. So don’t do a burnout on drive mode and with 305s. The right way is to do it on Manuel mode and if you do use drag tires. Try wetting them first like they do at the track
Even n/a cars are faster from a roll if you start in the right gear. From a dig your manual shifting wont do a thing at all. Go to a dragstrip and try it you ll see .
Hey brother right now I’m running jb4 with BOVs catless midpipes and cat back exhaust. (Currently waiting on intakes) When I put it in map3 especially 4 with e85 in the mix it tends to touch 23 lbs of boost often. Can I increase my limits so I can hit higher boost? Is that optimal? I seen the ewg wires to target boost better but not sure the details on it until I receive them.
I also plan on doing FMI, with cpi + catless downpipes. What are your thoughts and recommendations. I appreciate this video and the knowledge shared as well.
You don't want to be too close to 24lbs. The stock turbos max out at 24. And being close to that will reduce the lifetime of the turbo by a significant amount. At that point it's better to get a proper ecu tune and get the power without the need of pushing that high boost. 19-21 would be the range you'd wanna target with the stock turbos.
@@Pratagraph I appreciate the knowledge highly . Do you think the cpi kit will help keep the boost from raising by providing that big of extra fueling power and stabilizing the need for more boost. Or will it over kill the boost until I get the ewg wires to target it more precisely. Would I have to upgrade the turbos in order to run more boost safely on them or (depending on the size) will it be too much boost for the motor and internals. Is more boost essentially bad for driving, obviously more power more problems more money. But I’m just curious I try to look up these questions and don’t find many useful answers until I started connecting with others.
Hey bro did you get mid and downpipes put on to your stinger? I recently did and something up. Like my turbo boost ain't there and my car raddles going high rpm
Yeah im still under warranty. Ummm give me some advice here lol should I just put my old pipes back on? Those ultimate performance mid and down pipes cost me like $1600 I can sell them or take a lose .

Unfortunately you can only do it on one gear. For accurate readings. 5th gear
Thanks G for just being real deal Stingers for Life keep on moving with JB4 c ya!

To run e30, would you prefer to get a sensor ? Or can we run e30 without messing up the car
Informative video man! Best advice on hitting the best 0-60 on which rpm to upshift at?
I went from a 4.47 to 4.01 shifting at 4800 1-2 then 5000 2-3
So upshift around 4800 rpm once then 5k again?
Just to clarify.. are these the actual shift points? Or Is that the RPM when you hit the paddle?
@@purrly8578 you have to practice and hit them around or close to those points to stay in the power band. So boos stay consistent and it won’t drop as much
