I enjoy these videos you make, recent purchases or ones looking back through your collection. As has been already mentioned, shame about the missing sound towards the end.

Nice trip around the east end record shops. I haven't been to Hackney for years. That Donald Byrd album is superb and although I have a 2015 reissue on Universal Music, the pressing is so poor I can't enjoy it. I'll be looking for a replacement copy when I venture over to Japan next week.

Have fun in Japan! As someone else mentioned, it will be reissues as part of the excellent Blue Note Classic Series in March '24 so keep an eye out for that one if you need a replacement! -Sol

Look forward to these videos. FYI - The Larry Young cover was shot outside the UNESCO building in Paris. Great shout out for The Three Sounds also. Overlooked in the Blue Note canon which is great news for us. Also the Donald Byrd is scheduled for a reissue in March 2024.Stay well.

Thanks for the info on the Larry Young cover! I did pick up a French reissue of Blue Hour just last week which was a little more affordable than the Mono OG that I saw in London! The next batch of Classic Series Blue Notes look great, highly anticipating many of them! Thanks for the comment -Sol

In my humble opinion the reason the price was written inside of the record jackets is 1. You may conveniently rub it off with an eraser unlike shops who stuck their price tags onto the cover itself, sometimes making them unremovable (see music & video exchange). 2. This method also make it difficult for people to exchange (easily removable) price tags.

The point about price stickers on jackets is very true!
