The scenes in which John's playing with the Quarrymen and they meet for the first time are from the movie "Nowhere Boy", which came out in 2009 I think
Only McCartney 1970 LP can be compared to the Beatles' records. It's serious, it's atmospheric, it has great songs. Wings albums are easy listening music even if it makes sense. Paul wrote all his great songs in the 60s. And in John's albums after 1972 there is a lack of ideas. As if he was forcing himself to be silent. To sum up, Paul's music after his departure from the Beatles became similar to many other things. John's music remained Beatle-like, but triviality and even borrowings appeared in it (Starting Over).
@Ross Smith Yoko Uno did an outsider art performance where she stood in an art gallery and started screaming like that you moron. Do you live under a rock? Type in keywords Yoko Uno Screaming on UA-cam for the video.
I don’t know, about John being the leader and founder Who made it it happen. Paul was the one who pushed joining the quarrymen and then he got George in the group who he knew before John.. so in my book it was Pauli’s actions that started the Beatles..John didn’t seek out Paul or add George to the group.. and it’s a shame that paul kind of kicked George to the side with respect to all 3 of them writing songs together.
It would be nice to know who wrote what. I would assume the majority of the good songs were written by Paul as his solo and Wings output were terrific. Great tunes that were not apparent on Johns solo output apart from the odd couple. Johns lyrics were brilliant though. It’s a shame they fell out and an absolute tragedy that John lost his life. As a child of the 1960’s I grew up with the Beatles music, the best pop band ever.
There's loads of stuff on the internet detailing exactly who wrote which song. Although I agree most of the delicious melodies were Paul's, most of the interesting and dreamlike songs were John's. I truly believe it was a partnership of equals
I always assumed the standard Lennon/McCartney credit for any song written by either of them was more of an ego thing (which is fine, maybe a compromise because both wanted to be the front man) and a pay sharing thing.
Why do so many people refer to the Beatles' retirement, goof-off music as better than their miraculous years from 1963-1966? Was their miracle product just too much for them to fathom?
What? In the early days, they where very similar to any other british pop bamd at the time. What separated Beatles from the likes of Herman's Hermits, Gerry & the Pacemakers, The Kinks, Manfred Mann, The Hollies, etc. back then? It was when they quit touring and started experimenting their true creativity and genius started to show and shine.
I sort of agree with you! My favorite LPs are Rubber Soul & Revolver then Beatles For Sale & A Hard Day’s Night. I enjoy the other records too but I think those are the best.
It's ironic that in the seventies, Lennon was doing heroin and heavy LSD tripping but still able to enter the US while McCartney was banned from the US just for smoking pot.

The scenes in which John's playing with the Quarrymen and they meet for the first time are from the movie "Nowhere Boy", which came out in 2009 I think
There was at least two movies made about the Beatles, possibly more...
@@filofilo1178 Thanks! I'll look for it!
@@GailGurman you should definetly watch it. Nowhere Boy is great imo
They were eyeball to eyeball until the end
Sergio Mendez ,said John & Paul ,were the Rogers & Hart ,of Carney street , New York!! And they were just that!
OHHHHHHHHHEEEEOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHEHHHHHHHHHHH - Yoko Uno
@Ross Smith Yoko Uno did an outsider art performance where she stood in an art gallery and started screaming like that you moron. Do you live under a rock? Type in keywords Yoko Uno Screaming on UA-cam for the video.
@@efilwv1635 Yoko Oh No !
The story seems a little different than what I originally heard in fact it's way different McCartney didn't play with the band originally at the gig
That's not exactly true, Paul did write about his mom in "Let it Be"
What is the video footage in the background?

Named my son Jude.
The Beatles are the best
McCartney never wrote about his mother? That is who "mother Mary" is in Let It Be...
No, Mary was not the mother of "Sir Paul" (William)
It's ironic that in the seventies, Lennon was doing heroin and heavy LSD tripping but still able to enter the US while McCartney was banned from the US just for smoking pot.
John lennon's eyes be like: 👁 👁
Sweet, Thx.
you can't possibly know their true relationship. you weren't there and weren't privy to private conversations, meetings or feelings. All supposition.
What did Paul say in that interview after johns death? Did he say “a drag innit” or something else? I can’t understand it
It was because of shock. Very easy to undrstand.
@@bob44044 it was not of shock. William was just very arrogant of Lennons death.
@@olskzeri8007 No, your wrong. When caught in a moment like that people don't know what to say. He was still in shock.
1000th like 😫
Crazy that the two geniuses' animosities (imagined & real) seemed to finally behind them, while talks of them collaberating together again was cruelly illimenated by that psycho Chapman dude!!! May he continually rot in jail 'til the end of his life, and of course in HELL 4 ETERNITY upon his demise!!!
The Best..... Then there's the rest...
McCartney US ban was really really short!
John Lennon's addiction to opiates wasn't heroin, it was delaudid. Yoko gets lots of scorn but she did help him get off the drug.
Where the hell do you get your information? John and Yoko were still doing heroin when they lived at the Dakota. And Yoko was always the one to fall off the wagon first!
Let it be was a song for Paul's mother so you're a bit wrong in the beginning
No. Mary McCartney was not the mother of "Sir Paul" (William).
Brian Epstein only became The Beatles manager after they come back from Germany and start to playing at Cavern Club! The manger of them at Hamburg time was Alan Willians, that was who made the contact with the owners of clubs at red light's district in Hamburg (The Reeperbahn), your information at 4:04 min is totally wrong,...
Imagine sitting and watching a documentary about you and your relationship with someone else
Go to Tina foster on paul and john were replaced for social engineering...

Oh yeah what about let it be by McCartney it starts when i find myself in times of trouble mother Mary comes to me speaking words of wisdom let it be his mother was called Mary let it be is about McCartney mother
I respect the Beatles they were the tuff guys grew up in poor places john was a rep teenager people were scared of funny considered there 60s image the stone were rich college kids with drug problems not really the bad boys like the image the Beatles were the pretty boys and stones the bad one the truth was the opposite
The Tovastick center made the covur ep.
John Lennon's mother taught him Ukulele chords not guitar chords.
@héctor escobar medina Escobar No.
@héctor escobar medina Escobar incorrect. His mother played ukulele not banjo. It's why John played Ukulele chords, not banjo chords. they say it inn many interviews and its also why George played ukulele years later too.
Ahhhh yes. Back when real voice actors spoke on Beatles UA-cam videos
I always like George’s Harrison’s songs better. He’s so underrated.

Isn’t yesterday and let it be about Paul’s mom?
No. "Sir Paul" (William) have just made that up.
No John's aunt Millie said she bought him his first guitar
Aunt Mimi. She bought him the guitar. John's mom taught him the banjo. She also presumably taught him how to tune it. At the fete where they met, Paul taught John how to tune his guitar.
