the first act is great on it's own, don't get me wrong, the story is involving and I appreciate acts 2 and 3 but the first one had the best cards, best mood and aesthetics, and dnd-roguelike play style was incredible
I really wish that they focused on the Act 2 as much in act 1, could be better. Act 3 also is very poor of content, all the eletronic stuff is quite boring, but yeah, Act 1 is a way to better than others.
Personally I kinda wish it stuck to the implied plot of "Sacrifices Must Be Made" which was the previous version of this. Mainly cause I still see Leshy as the closest thing to a villain (Cause of that version) and two I just kinda feel with as strong as Act 1 was that the rest kinda felt weaker. Since after Act 1 I feel as if they kinda suffered huge tonal shifts. Going from what felt like a DnD roguelike to just what nearly feels like DLC or side stories to the game (not counting the overarching plot). That or if we had to have characters besides Leshy I feel like anyone besides P03 would have been a better fit to the tones of Act 1. Especially Grimora due to a flesh and bones theming it could have.
Exactly. Like you can even still sorta see signs of the hunger theme throughout Act 1. How the fire works, Leshy's food reward for finishing Act 1, heck you can even see the Hungry Child card if you do a certain thing. I just feel like if it were like abandoned or near feral people playing with Leshy rather that just it was a video game all along I'd be more interested in it. Heck even if it did have to be it was a game all along I feel like it should have stopped there. Cause it's nearly on par with the twist of "It was a dream this whole time" in the way it just breaks immersion. Especially when Act 1 nearly feels like it could be it's own short game.
The ring worm has two uses not only for the flames. In the walk towards the cabin in the end the ring worm counts as a ring if you didn't get one from the clock
@@bensoncheung2801 I've seen it used that way by another youtuber. If you don't have the actual ring Leshy will draw 2 random cards and the ringworm if you have it.
I never found the ring in act one, and was in a vc with my brother after i died to final boss once. I jokingly said during the run "Hey what if ring worm counts as the ring." and lo and behold, it did
I wasted a bunch of time getting an Ouroboros up to 333 Attack. When it attacked Leshy, he just gave me a reasonable number of teeth, not bothering to calculate how much I was actually supposed to have. Meanwhile getting the Ouroboros up that far required so many sacrifices that I had 4 organized stacks of Bones that each towered so tall they clipped through the roof of the cabin. It took several minutes for him to finally finish taking them off the table.
@@misirtere9836 actually not... If you pause the game you'll notice that while it only shows a small amount of teeth, it actually does give you all the teeth you earned. I tested it and all those extra teeth ARE spendable, I got like 20 golden pelts before I decided to stop. However you can only use so many golden pelts per trader so it's not really worth it to spend too much.
@@lucassmith7871 heck that, if you want to walk up to every scene with a 45 second deck-stacking animation, then end every scene with 45 seconds of cards individually flying away, buy as many pelts as you can. You can buy pelts until the stack clips past the camera. Warning: you **will** die because pelts can't do damage or be sacrificed. _Maybe_ if you are running with Bees and have a good totem for 'em, you can stall forever, but like: you're not Winning.
Honestly I agree with a majority of this tier list, but I feel like the alpha is downplayed way too much, 5 bones is fair for having the abilty to either turn trees/ boulders into tanky attackers, or turning certain cards (like the moleman) into actual threats.
I think it should be in trash but has 1 deck it's good in. If you have a bone deck that lets you afford it then it's a nice power up for neighbor cards
imo i kinda agree with the vid, by the time you can put out anything that costs 5 bones, _most of the time_ you probably already have a strong presence on the board and are likely going to win in 1 or 2 turns. 5 bones is just really expensive and hard to come by unless you have a bone boon or a bone jar, but at that point you could have had a squirrel jar instead to get something out that's typically going to be much beefier and/or put out more damage faster instead. it's a really situational card and that hurts it.
@@Templarfreak I mean there’s a decent amount of ways to generate high bones like rat king‘a effect on a warren but like the alpha’s one of the weaker ways to spend your bones
@@ultimaterecoil1136 5 bones is still a lot of bones, even if you had good bone generation, for a card that is not very strong on its own. even the sigil is like, not super-duper great, it's pretty okay i guess, but it's definitely not going to be a sigil that wins you fights most of the time even if you transfer it to some other card
I feel like Ouroboros exists to ensure that even the worst players can still experience the whole game. Giving an instawin that covers all three acts that you can lose in is a really nice way to help players who just care about the story. That being said, you can still permanently remove Ourobot, which could be quite painful.
yeah I like that it is basically a well you don't like or having problems with this act... Ouroboros. And, at least in act 3 you basically have to wait 3 to 5 turns before you can play it depending on what +energy sigil cards you have.
As a Note: you get bones from sacrificing your own units, not just from combat. the bone units aren't as bad as they seem (as often times I end up with 20+ bones by turn 4 while I am waiting for my carry card)
Especially when you pair them with unkillable sigil. Unlike the many lives sigil which isn't actually infinite sacrifices, if you give an unkillable sigil to a cheap unit with only one blood, then you can sac it many times to get more bones. It is pretty good. And getting the unkillable sigil wood statuette for the squirrel is stupid broken
@@RubicGirl I actually had that statuette for my squirrels, I never needed to have more than 1 squirrel and I had more than enough bones for literally anything, I just didn't have anything besides of Long Elk, Opossum, or the Stink Bug to use them on.
Yeah stalling does enable bone cards to become better Although I still agree having to many or to weak bone cards in your deck and water it down to much often resulting in bad starting draws. Overall I think he underestimated stalling a little bit.
Magpie is underrated here, its an automatic pickup for me. It lets you pick up WHATEVER card you want, so if you have a Flamed-Geck or Ouroboros you get that card instantly. Drawing Magpie is USALY an instant win.
Magpie is trash,u cant change it,homever its sigil is the one that strong,u could just sacrifice him into other that use cheaper cost to play instead him,2 blood for an 1/1 card is trash no matter what u think, its the same case as cockroach, the card alone id trash, but the sigil it own is god tier for sacrifice, maybe if it were sigil ranking then they woulda high ranked on it
@@riciirizaldii8811 You are trying to say that you sac'd a cockroach into a magpie, and then sac'd the magpie with the undying sigil into a geck? You can't do that, dude. Units that have a soul in them already can't be sac'd or get another soul. You literally can't draw them on the altar. On a side note: magpie is useful on its own. People fail to realise that if you have ANY 1 cost card in your deck that would give you lethal that turn, you can essentially play it for 2 blood and win instantly. It's a slightly worse pot of greed lmao. If you have a squirrel in hand or any unit on the board and you can play magpie on top of it, you can play any *2* cost that would win you the game. Draw any card from your deck? More like: play literally whatever card you wish instantly for 1 extra cost (2 cost - the 1 you get back from sac'ing magpie). PS: The reason why giving its ability to something else is gamebreaking is because it removes the only drawback, and then it just becomes pot of greed lol.
Well, most powerful combos need more than one blood, with that said Magpie makes it two blood more expensive besides if you have a powerful deck already adding a Magpie makes it a little more inconsistent since u have one more than u need, and if u are going to replace one of the cards wich one will be worth it less than a 1:1 Flying unit. If anything Magpie is one of those cards wich needs to reduce its cost to be useful in most of the situations and not only when u are already winning
It took me until he started talking about Porcupine for me to realize, the "Could've been a Bullfrog" tier means the card could've been as *bad* as the Bullfrog, not could've been as *good*. I am slow-
I never use the porcupine lol I do transfer its sigil to the moleman and I recently found out since I never used it, the skink. Sharp quills or even 3 blood sigil goes onto the tail that drops off and even with just sharp quills the TAIL is sacrificable.
Ultimately, the list is your call, but I kind of feel that Caged Wolf, while intended for that puzzle just to get the Stunted Wolf, is still at least a Useful card. I mean, it's a 0/6 blocker for 2 that turns into a 3/2 for free if it dies, which is still pretty solid. Not GREAT, but the puzzle doesn't leave you in a bad spot for doing it.
also if it's still caged by the time you get to the prospector and it's on the board when he picks your cards, instead of it turning to gold, it uncages the wolf. :)
All these inscryption vids show me that Chapter 1 was indeed the best part of the game. Not to drag the whole thing down though, the game was great but I really wish the dev focused more on this part.
I bet the dev gonna make a dlc of it where u can choose from all 4 insycrbes which u want to fight with their own theme like u saw on the ending where u fight the undead one with her own theme so do the mage one
@@hjack6463 its very likely because why bother create their own theme when fighting them even though its only what? A few minute?its more likely that they gonna add dlc or maybe entirely different game that based around of what i said, especially since this game easter isnt even got uncovered yet since there particular part that need to wait, which is something like preorder something i forgot but maybe new game like that from the same developer, which the link u got is from uncovering the easter egg that is around the game
@@riciirizaldii8811 Its to give the illusion of the game potentially having something more, the last parts are mainly cinematic without it being a real game in mind since they only implemented the bare minimum plus some additional flavor text
Ouroboros: _has become a 15/15 due to many runs of not progressing the plot, and gained a Trifurcated sigil during the current run_ Leshy: _watches you one-shot the moon_ Leshy: ...You know what... here, here's the stupid camera film, go ahead and turn me into a card and let's advance the damn story already.
It only keeps its stats in the current run, if you lose it resets its stats, however if you get in an infinte sacrifice loop then its more than op... get yourself a squirrel totem eith the same sigil and say an amalgamte and you can have a 40/40... a 90/90
Its a very good list but I feel like there should be a tier for units that should be sacrificed for their sigils, like how there are units that go to the flames.
Cockroach is actually not a bad card. Several times, I’ve been able to save up Bones and use it as a sacrifice for better cards when I need an extra sacrifice and don’t have much to spare. Plus, the cost is relatively cheap, and if you level up Cockroach in ANY way (adding sigils like Worthy Sacrifice, giving it flames), it becomes an incredibly useful card. At the very least, it was an incredible play in my deck, which means you can definitely get quite a bit of use out of it.
Cockroach is my bone trash can pretty much. Usually grab one in my deck if I don't have bone cards, and try to give it a sigil like magpie or hoarder, to get items or cards quickly and multiple at a time. Not only that, cockroaches can also be used in Ouroboros strengthening rituals. And although I haven't tried it, I imagine giving it the bone sigil will make it essentially infinite.
Won a kaycee mod run by accidentally building up a shit ton of bones and then spamming a roach with the three blood sacrifice over and over again, it essentially made it so that every turn I didn't need to draw squirrels and could summon literally everything in my deck, was pretty overpowered lol
Pro Tip if you have a very "bone focused" deck: Sacrifice a Black Goat to the Bone Lord and he'll give you a Major Boon which gives you 8 bones at the start of a battle. This card can then be stacked with the Minor Boons.
Pelt & Ouroboros got picked for my death card stats so I had a 16/16 free death card (kinda wish I had got Ouroboros even stronger) It took me multiple runs to ever obtain that deathcard into my deck tho
a few days ago i built the perfect death card. 0 cost, damage output by ourobos, triple hit - that card one shots everything and wins the game after 2 turns max, and only if every hit is blocked.
black goat is literally on par with ouroboro, if you sacrifice it to the boon lord, boon lord will give you a card that gives 8 bones every start of a match which is very helpful for bone deck edit: also squirell is literally a carry, if you had a squirell head totem paired with 3 blood sacrifice sigyl body, you can literally ascend to godhood with those 3 blood cards
Squirrel ants. Get a squirrel head totem with the ant sigil body. Start the game, drop a squirrel, get a worker ant. Sacrifice the squirrel. Instant attack card on the board. Rinse and repeat The more ants there are, the stronger the swarm
Inscryption has got to be the most addictive card game I've played in a long time, and it's inspired me to make my own. The only issue is figuring out where to establish the line between "taking inspiration" and "plagiarizing".
I would suggest taking a look at other games of the genre, establish a basic list of traits that define the genre, and figure out how to make it unique. For example, many games of the genre have the same attack/health system. And continue from there.
The strange larva is my favorite card in act 1, I literally defeated the beast's patronus in the first run (after finishing the game for the first time in launch day and resetting) by sacrificing the adder and putting poison on the Strange Larva and 2 life points with the pit fire, then she would be able to kill the entire line of bears during glitches and easily survive 2 turns, it wasn't even difficult to get these two buffs during the fisherman's area, Its just a matter of get she after defeat The Prospector i just got sad to see with my own eyes that I couldn't get the roll of film without dying once, in the end the patron just put your card on his door
I have never pogged as incredibly hard as I did when i saw strange pupa become the holy Mothman himself. As a native West Virginian, it's by far my favorite card.
Oh from the myco boss?yea that one is actually the only other way u can make a copy of your ouroboros, even with additional sigil or lower cost,so it is really reccomended u save ouroboros until the second round of that boss so that u can get a myco version of it

I really love that in addition to a typical S/A/B/C... ranking, you include some categories for cards that have really specific uses (like upgrades, or are good in exactly 1 kind of deck). I wish more tier lists did this, it's a much better way to present the information.
As an elk believer, i'm quite upset kek. I know it's annoying if you aren't used to the moving sigil, but it really helps you clear the board or dodge like the fish bait. Also being a 2-4, they can win against wolf and survive coyote attack.
The problem with elk is that it's sigils are detrimental in almost every situation. Which isn't something you can say of any other tribe, even the waterborne and flying sigils have both an upside and a downside.
@@dineez627 Long elk is kind of meh tbh. They're like slightly better and cheaper adder. Sometimes they run and live to be sacrified for better dps or kill one more enemy. And if they survived HP fire and put thorns or dual/triple attack, you got a very cheap board cleaner.
I have an admitted soft spot for the river snapping turtle. In a run I was watching of an awesome small streamer (Chris the Absolute Legend, go check him out maybe), on the winning attempt he managed to get THREE river snapping turtles and TWO mushroom events, meaning we got to turn it into a Cerberus-like eldritch god with 3 attack and *18 HP.* As you can imagine, Leshy got absolutely Shreked, and it was SO glorious to see.
I think you underestimate Sprinter a little bit. The card can do damage to Leshy's face, and then the card bearing the sigil blocks a creature's damage, plus your unit probably survives to chump block; I think most Sprinter units have decent health. They're not exactly easy to play control cards, but they have some potential to help you gain tempo if you can predict what the opponent is going to play in the following turns.
Bullfrog being below the "Could have been a bullfrog"-tier is funny. Edit: Flame buff is pretty good for any card imo, it just so happens that it's usually even better in other cards like the skink, geck, mantis god and the daus.
You can't just break your own rules with field mouse, cockroach and field mouse should be in reasonable proximity, not opposite ends of the list. Either they're both trash bodies for their cost or their sigils are amazing and justify picking them alone.
no because Cockroach is a 4 bone for a 1,1 where as at least field mice are a 2,2 for 2 blood and creates a copy without the first one having to die it is a much better version of cockroach
@@captainjobber3284 Yes but it can save a fight and give you much better tempo than a cockroach as well as it pairs better with MOST combos even without throwing the sigil onto something else which the cockroach does not at all
1 bone = 1 blood on average. Field mice cost 2 blood vs Cockroach cost 4 bones. Roach also can't be used for infinite combos while field mice has several infinite combos.
@@brohham3078 No it's more like 2 or 3 bone = 1 blood... blood and bones are NOT equal but I still agree that field mice are just better... if 1 blood = 1 bone then turkey vulture would be 5 bones max. I mean a rattler is 3/1 for 6 bones while a wolf is a 3/2 for 2 blood
If warren gave rabbits every turn it would've been at least useful. Edit: What version are you playing on? My warrens can't give blood, they're just a 2 health roadblocks.
Idk, the fact that you can use it and get a bunny and be able to possibly place your other 2 cards can sometimes work well, for example, if you have a wolf or some other 2 blood cost card it can actually take effect turn 1 and do a lot, as long as it’s not in the path of any up coming cards. To me it’s useful, especially on other cards, the best I’ve seen is when it’s combined with the squirrel statue giving you essential 2 squirrels every draw.
On round one you can use a squirrel to spawn the waren then sacrifice the waren and bunny to get a two blood card in the same turn. It’s literally turning a one blood squirrel into a two blood. It’s hella useful you just gotta know how it works.
Open your mind to possibilities warren is actually good. Is it my main choice? No but put sharp quills on it does defense damage, put immortal on it summon get a rabbit sacrifice for a 1 cost. Get it back summons rabbit summon warren rinse and repeat. Give it the beehive sigil and a little health. Summons get a rabbit it’ll defense and give you bees. Plenty of cards are either good sigil holders or can be good sigil recovers making them worlds useful than base card.
Cockroach is at least an S tier, one could argue its even better than ouroboros. You can add its sigil to many different cards to make them op, the most broken one is probably warren, as it starts giving you undying rabbits (while also being undying), so every turn you can summon all your creatures as long as you have space and also block attacks from any enemies infinitely (unless they are flying or attack multiple times). Beehive is just warren but worse, still op. Stink bug or opossum basically make it cost 1 instead of 3 bones to sacrifice like a squirrel. Ant queen can now generate infinite cards in case your deck is too small/weak. Geck becomes an undying squirrel. Infinite corpse maggots are pretty good as well. So for me, cockroach is an insta-pick as it can carry through even the final boss if you combine it with a good card enough. Field mice are just as good, but in kaycees mod it got nerfed and i think it has a few less uses, still carries.
When I buy inscryption I will only stick to Act 1, to fill Leshy's cabin door with my "deathcards" stuck on it with the rickroll lyrics. Call me a madman, but he cant stop me.
Everytime I see you upload and see another 1k subs it makes me smile. You'll easily reach 100k subs at this rate, keep it up man your doing great 👍 love the vids
27:14 by that logic, the "trash but it's good in one deck" category shouldn't exist. If you're rankings A. Don't consider sacrificing for Sigils and B. considers how useful the card is to draw in the middle of a fight under the context that you chose to add it to your deck, then cards like the Ant should be useful. Because if you're not playing an insect deck, then 27:26.

@@unclesam8862 He explained it in the video, might’ve just missed it from the “wtf” everyone got when he said that. If you draw field mice, with proper play there is practically no way to lose. If you draw cockroach, with proper play you still have a decent chance at losing even with a sigil transfer. Basically, field mice makes you guaranteed win the run, meanwhile cockroach just makes it likely but not likely enough to rank high for it and instead he ranked on the card alone.

Your ignorance is not him contradicting
this tier list is really nice, but I find it really funny that some custom cards can solo the game, one time i saw a 7/7 zero cost mantis god sigil custom card, and that was just... insane.
It’s hard to cover the all the cards because of the niche interactions with each other the enviroment and so on, but I don’t think it does them justice. Sigils are very important to the gameplay and can’t really be left out. Cockroach for me will always be an insta pickup just because if the sigil is tranferred it generates so much value, and making geck be immortal is just bonkers, many easy wins with that combo, and magpie also, drawing any card from the deck enables it making insane combos possible. These two should definetely be higher up
As a bug deck user, you underestimate the usefulness of a cockroach on the team, not costing a sacrifice and just a cheep four bones is really affordable. Also I think ranking it with out its sigil isn't exactly fair as that changes how it works entirely, and how I would use it.
at this point i feel like a massive braincapped idiot since i finished act 1 i started to read about the cards and... even if leshy tells you ouroboros grow stronger, i just thought was a fancy way to say "this card comes back after death" and then i finished the whole act 1 without knowing ouroboros was the most broken thing this game ever had.
@@angelcaru I don't know if the game got uptaded or something since I don't play it for like 8 months, but yes it does. Overkill damage gives you more golden teeths.
I used urylali once for a death card I made, the card had a cost of 1 with the power and health of 7 and I think it also had the mantis side lane attacks
I never play that card unless I already have a corpse eater sigil on deck to combine it with. Unless I’m running a 3 cost with corpse eater or a blood goat deck I dnt use three cost cards.
i love ouroboros, especialy when you power it up with the cat and child 13, that card will carry over through different chapters and it will be the most powerful deck
Grizzly:nothing below my cost can beat me! Undead cat:oh yeah? Grizzly:you are still 1 power below me Two ouroboros:yo cat, sacrifice for us Grizzly has left the server.
A lot of the deer could maybe be moved from trash to '1 good deck' if you had the right deer totem in play, but to be honest there are not really too many of the mid-power totems that helps them too much. And many of the strong totems would be better off on the squirrels.
@@bluemaster75 It's the description of the card when you first see it. But because the sigil is identical to the cockroach one, you need extra information to know that it's not just a flavor text.
Basically some of the card has like some unique effect that didnt listed as sigil on it,example just like ouroboros the sigil is the same as cockroach but the ouroboros itself is the one that has the ability that each time he died he got increased stat, the same as blackgoat, its didnt have any description on it,but when u sacrifice it onto bone lord its gave bone boon which is really strong, where as the sigil itself isnt anything, example u sacrifice some card that has blood sigil,u not gomma have the same reward as to when u sacrificr the goat to bone lord, basically a few card has an their own hidden effect/interaction that is not listed as sigil
Which is hillarious since Amalgam is pretty much an instant pick due to the strength of totems. Unless one of the other choices have synergy. No totemless Gecks here
It's underwhelming compared to other rares, highroll dependent if you're not expecting it (say, you're prioritizing sigils for squirrels) and winmore if you already have a good totem for stat units. Totems are unlocked relatively late and without totems amalgam isn't worth a rare. Compared to a wolf, 2 to 3 health matters little after you get past the coyotes in the first zone. It would be way better as a 1-cost 3/1.
@@badrunna-im You start with a squirrel head, Insect head to, if you've done the painting. But when the rare card pool only have 4 cards worth picking and I don't see mantis or boros... yeah.. amalgam or amoeba it is.
i honestly totally understand the logic behind "if this is greater then 2 cost with near poop stats and sigs then it's trash" because one thing a lot of players kinda forget about when playing a deck-building game, and I am one of these people, is that for every card you add to your deck, you run up the risk of not being able to draw into any of your useful cards and getting totally railed by the game because of it, also, considering the fact you need to sacrifice your cards to play what should be 'stronger units' you also have to consider a fact that i actually encountered in act one that i didn't know was possible, the fact you have limited squirrels, if you're like me and have a hard time both during boss fights and normals fights with keeping cards on the field, if you run out of squirrels before you play anything useful enough to save you from a bad situation, you can run out of cards in your main deck and your squirrel deck, now, not saying that you shouldn't go with a thin or thick deck strat, in some cases, depending on your cards it can be encouraged, but it's getting the cards you need to make either of those starts work, while maintaining a good deck cost that allows you to fight against Leshy proper
In the end its depends on what deck of cards you have, if you’re desperate for any damage or defensive cards anything would be useful but if you have a good ass cards most of the other cards would just be not as useful and just be a blood or ritual sacrifice.
This list seems to be mostly accounting for perfect play, and I’m act 1 perfect play typically means that you have health and damage buffs due to your early game campfire sac and you should never really be desperate. I see what you’re saying though, if you get very unlucky early some of these less useful cards die become good.
Honestly? The warren is pretty good. If you draw it in your top deck with a two cost card, you can instantly place down a wolf or a raven or even two one cost cards. Warren is also good for getting hybrid decks going, as it generates three bones in the process of putting blood cost cards on the board
You should do an almost only bones run… I think it might be a pretty good challenge (of course you need blood creatures to sacrifice but if you should pick mainly bone cards)
i.. i highly disagree for the bee the bee in itself is a pretty decent card, free 1:1 with the ability to fly but here the thing: you dont NEED to sacrifice it. and it can save you in a pinch! im not even kidding see this game is all about trading, how many damage will you take? how much will you deal? as soon as you get that you can win easily and the bee is the master of trading, not only are you guaranteed to deal 1 point of damage but you can also block an enemie's attack for as long as they dont fly, it can make you gain a turn which might be just enough for you to win
Once I found the squirrel head, my stratrgy was getting the three heart totem and then trying to get as many three hearts or more cards to obliterate my enemies, and then giving them fly to get an instawin.
cockroach carried my game through the 4th boss. Though, to be fair, it was also because I had an immortal skink and Oura out, but the combined ability to chump block while oura slowly grinded them down was pretty useful. I don't think its trash tier, if you got a lot of immortal cards, the cockroach adds additional meat to stall games.
Cockroach is pretty underrated. If you sacrifice a black goat to the bone lord you get an 8 bone start, making it a 0 cost card with undying. Give it some stat ups and it actually carries (carried a high challenge level caycee's mod run with it).
I know the long elk is under to the flames because of the infinite flames buff after the campers die , but if you do run it , a one shot kill card that switches lanes is pretty powerful , because you can pretty quickly clear the board , or at least the front of the board , as there will be nothing to attack it after you clean the frontline . You can also buff it up ( lol , to the flames tying back in ) , and if it gets any extra health , or you give it the mantis buff , it stomps ! ( I guess the same thing could be said about the adder , but it won’t have that move . )
Ok, there's a LOT that's personal opinion in this tier list, and unfortunately a lot of the reasoning is pretty flawed. For one, while you start off saying you're not considering the sigils (which kinda ignores half the game honestly), you disregard sigils to justify placing some genuinely good cards in lower tiers, while also taking sigils into account to explain why you placed some cards so high up. Biggest example being the Adder. Sure, it has fairly bad stats for it's cost, but the point of the card is that it doesn't matter what it's stats are. Because of it's sigil, you can play it in response to your opponent putting down an expensive high-stat card you couldn't otherwise deal with. Sure, it's sigil would be more useful on something with more health or less cost, but the same can be said of most cards. Likewise, you tend to dismiss flying cards simply because you don't like using them. Depending on the situation, fliers can be extremely useful, which is why they often have a cost higher than their base stats would call for. Especially if the opponent has some sort of passive blocker on their side without Mighty Leap (such as a boulder or a pelt). What would have been a shield for the opponent now in turn protects a constant thorn in their side that they can't easily deal with. You're also undervaluing the usefulness of bone-cost cards. While I do agree, cards that cost sacrifices are generally more useful to have, having a few select bone cards in your deck is a useful way to pull out extra muscle in mid to late game. Primarily because you will be getting bones almost constantly, either from sacrificing your own cards, or your opponent killing them.
I think ant should be better, because by default it is a 1-2 card for 1 cost which is already pretty good, but if you get any other ant cards it becomes a 2-2 for 1 cost
meh. at worst its a worse stoat. at best its a worse stunted wolf (because the 2-2 is conditional). it definitely has its place though especially if you have an ant queen, then its pretty good.
The first act is where the magic was, created a card which costed 1 sacrifice, and had 7 hp and 7 dmg. Also attacked from left, middle, and right, and death touch. Best card
Blood the best? Man the undying one one is the best u,no matter what u do it always back to your deck,so if u managed to get 4 of it then u pretty much can tank and summon any of your deck with it,also bee with beehive sigil kinda similar to it but not gonna summon anything if it were sacrificed instead but its good to buy time until u got a card u need/want
@@riciirizaldii8811 I'd say the Fecundity sigil is even stronger; it does the same thing as Unkillable, but you can play 3-4 blood-cost cards right away.
In the video when suggesting things to put on the geck card… I put both things suggested on separate geck cards in the same run. plus ants. So when I play a geck it gives me an ant.
I see cat and child each moving up a tier. They are cards that start off amazing and as you unlock other stuff though failed runs they become unnecessary. When I did a no unlock run when you don't have as many good options they are eazy decks to run with descent winrates. Also I think you undervalued mantis it's purpose like the flame cards and the cat child is to flamed or sigle moved I will say you are right without that.
I'm praying for a patch/mod for this game to expand the act 1. I don't like the other parts, especially the tech one, and I guess I'm not alone with that opinion.
I enjoyed the whole game, but act 1 was without a doubt my fav. Which is why I have gone back and not picked up the film reel so I can just keep playing it and have beaten it 3-4 times. I do miss my original death card though. 1 blood, undying, worthy, 3/1
If Raven gets a bump up for being flying, Bat should totally as well. Bat is always a pickup for me. In general bone cards are really useful because you can't always make big offensive plays, and when you can you get bones from sacrifices. Even with their relatively high power I always have trouble managing to summon the 3+ blood cards.
The deck I ultimately beat the first act with was an Ant deck. Had a totem that made all my squirrels add an ant worker to hand. with the main goal to generate hand advantage whichll end up boosting Tentacles attack to stupid high values
The way I use the Warren is that you play a squirrel, play the warren, play the rabbit, and now that squirrel has been turned into 2 things to sacrifice.
"To the flames" doesn't seem like a fair category when you're telling us that you're deciding cards based on their combat ability, and you said that "to the flames" is used to allow you to upgrade more cards, which isn't part of combat. I'd say using cards for the flame would be the same as using cards for their sigils.
Act 1 really could be a game on its own. Not just a video game either, a whole ass actual card game that I'd play, something I really can't say for the robotic version.
I'd like to see a totem tier list. Like immortal squirrels are basically broken since they just bleed bones, cost nothing, and they let you get the benefit of sacrificing units while giving you meat shields that can eat up damage from anything that isn't a flier allowing you to run the higher cost bone units more easily as it doesn't matter as much if your units are dying if you're just getting the card back right away for stalling reasons.
@@JustDenys1 yeah thats true! tbh i made the totem by accident, i wasnt paying attention to what i was doing bc by then i had lost like 6 times and just wanted to try again as fast as possible. i played the game for its atmosphere so i was pretty bad with a lot of the boss fights
I’ll make a case for the warren. It’s a 1 blood card that can essentially allow you to play a 2 blood card on turn one, which is a big boost early in a match. It’s also got a pretty nutty synergy with the field mice sigil, but that’s not a super reliable scenario. On its own, it’s an early blood boost.
I think the third tentacle is quite useful: it kills whichever one enemy card you want killed then becomes a squirrel, ready to refund own cost. Better than moleman because moleman will block up to 5 damage before you have to sacrifice it and the tentacle will zero out all of the damage in the lane and from then on you can sacrifice it.
I can't understand how to get this filed mice. I'm playing act 1 for about 10 hours and still didn't found a single. And i was always choosing 2 blood cost cards and a default card choice more often... Help
The Magpie while extremely weak, is literally one of the most powerful cards. Sac 2: DRAW YOUR WIN CON... come on guy. I've won dozens of games by fetching my corpse eater Yetiboi.
the cat is great though if u can transfer it's Sigel to a high attacking card and even without that it lets u draw a squirrel and immediately play a 2 cost card
You clearly consider the Sigils for some or even most of the cards while saying you're not going to consider the sigils. Makes no sense at all and this tier-list is bunk because of it. Edit: If you stood by your logic from start to finish you would see that Field mice (The best card in the game by far) being a (2) cost 2/2 would be average to trash.
the first act is great on it's own, don't get me wrong, the story is involving and I appreciate acts 2 and 3 but the first one had the best cards, best mood and aesthetics, and dnd-roguelike play style was incredible
The gameplay becomes less and less captivating after chapter 1
yup, I agree with all of you (and I have also been playing "sacrifices must be made" and wow, this hunger theme fits perfectly)
How did you find that out?
@@bensoncheung2801 I've seen it used that way by another youtuber. If you don't have the actual ring Leshy will draw 2 random cards and the ringworm if you have it.

@@EvilLordCanas not really you can have more than 40 but it only shows 40
Honestly I agree with a majority of this tier list, but I feel like the alpha is downplayed way too much, 5 bones is fair for having the abilty to either turn trees/ boulders into tanky attackers, or turning certain cards (like the moleman) into actual threats.
I think it should be in trash but has 1 deck it's good in. If you have a bone deck that lets you afford it then it's a nice power up for neighbor cards
For me, could up the alpha in “to the flames”.
imo i kinda agree with the vid, by the time you can put out anything that costs 5 bones, _most of the time_ you probably already have a strong presence on the board and are likely going to win in 1 or 2 turns.
I didnt even know you could farm the ouroboros lol i thought it was just useless and left it as it is and now in act 2

@@dxpid6209 still can, just abuse the dummy and get free sawdust

Magpie is underrated here, its an automatic pickup for me.
It lets you pick up WHATEVER card you want, so if you have a Flamed-Geck or Ouroboros you get that card instantly.
Drawing Magpie is USALY an instant win.
Magpie is trash,u cant change it,homever its sigil is the one that strong,u could just sacrifice him into other that use cheaper cost to play instead him,2 blood for an 1/1 card is trash no matter what u think, its the same case as cockroach, the card alone id trash, but the sigil it own is god tier for sacrifice, maybe if it were sigil ranking then they woulda high ranked on it
It's better as sacc fodder on something cheaper with better stats.
The only thing underrated here are the elks the magpie is terrible. All the elks are incredibly useful because of their stats alone.
I am slow-
it means, "at last it isnt a bullfrog"
But it does leave you in a BLIND spot for using it !
also if it's still caged by the time you get to the prospector and it's on the board when he picks your cards, instead of it turning to gold, it uncages the wolf. :)

Wdym by giving it flames?
Campfires, sorry. I’ve been calling every campfire stat boost “flames” just cause it’s shorter than “campfire stat boost.”

As an elk believer, i'm quite upset kek. I know it's annoying if you aren't used to the moving sigil, but it really helps you clear the board or dodge like the fish bait. Also being a 2-4, they can win against wolf and survive coyote attack.
It is also an amazing opening against trapper, it will block off 3 of the lanes so that you can stall for the firepower to OTK turn 2.
What's your opinion on the Long Elk mr elk believer? Also what sigil's are solid for the elk tribe?
The problem with elk is that it's sigils are detrimental in almost every situation. Which isn't something you can say of any other tribe, even the waterborne and flying sigils have both an upside and a downside.
We need a wide elk, then it'll be the best tribe.

Good? Sure, I like Roach. Better than our lord and savior Ouroboros? Unlikely.

Because if you're not playing an insect deck, then 27:26.
and he also put the field mice into carry category for its sigil because it could be put on something else but cockroach into trash and said that he doesnt rate the cards based on sacraficing their sigils? weird tierlist.
@@PresterJohn420 except he said he doesnt rate the cards based on their sigil. so field mice would be a meh card, and if he does rate the cards based on their sigil then cockroach shouldnt've been in the trash tier. dude contradicted himself 50 times..

If you draw field mice, there is no objective way you should lose the run, even without transferring the sigil. Cockroach is only good in your opinion because you can transfer the sigil. That is it. Your ignorance is not him contradicting
I blew through the first act real fast because I’m a veteran card game player and now I’m feeling nostalgic for it.
this tier list is really nice, but I find it really funny that some custom cards can solo the game, one time i saw a 7/7 zero cost mantis god sigil custom card, and that was just... insane.
Manl-BadassHero?
@@monikatelescope9311 pretty sure, yeah
Manly's only had the normal Mantis Strike, and Death touched. He obliterated the moon with it.
Also I think ranking it with out its sigil isn't exactly fair as that changes how it works entirely, and how I would use it.
at this point i feel like a massive braincapped idiot since i finished act 1
i started to read about the cards and... even if leshy tells you ouroboros grow stronger, i just thought was a fancy way to say "this card comes back after death" and then i finished the whole act 1 without knowing ouroboros was the most broken thing this game ever had.
I only disagree with the ringbell tentacle, for me its a carry. Two cost 4/3 or 3/3, awesome for overkill on early game.

unkillable corpse eater field mice from the caves

I had a free 7/7 mantis sigil deathcard thanks to the uyaruly.

The most op thing is giving the squirrels infinite lives with the totem
У меня самое удобное было - дать им 3 крови. Бесконечные жизни мешают поставить другую полезную карту, пока белку не убьют.
For me the best thing was random trade item. Being able to repeatedly get scissors or hours glasses is OP.
i love ouroboros, especialy when you power it up with the cat and child 13, that card will carry over through different chapters and it will be the most powerful deck

A lot of the deer could maybe be moved from trash to '1 good deck' if you had the right deer totem in play, but to be honest there are not really too many of the mid-power totems that helps them too much. And many of the strong totems would be better off on the squirrels.
I had a totem that gave me like four bones whenever a squirrel died. It really made the game easy
All of the elks are good just for their stats you can easily win by only grabbing elks and wolves.
Needs a "for sigil steal only" category like the infinite sac

@HelloDude I thought it introduces it like that?
@@TheFunfighter The text should be information enough, since he's telling you it gets strengthened after every death.

Good to see some love for Amalgam. Sadly, not many players take it.
Which is hillarious since Amalgam is pretty much an instant pick due to the strength of totems. Unless one of the other choices have synergy. No totemless Gecks here
@@mos5678 actually just read this as a hearthstone comment
Hey Sifd, can you do a video to how to intall the mod ? Love the tier list btw
Waiting for the Modmanager to drop so that it becomes simpler and easier :)
@@Sifd Ok thanks
First time I died, my death card was free cost with Drayuli HP and power, and a flying sigil on top. Loved Magpie because I won guranteed.
14:20 “It breaks right away” 😂😂
Seriously that was funny! I haven’t played the game myself, but I get what you mean.
i.. i highly disagree for the bee
the bee in itself is a pretty decent card, free 1:1 with the ability to fly
but here the thing: you dont NEED to sacrifice it. and it can save you in a pinch! im not even kidding
see this game is all about trading, how many damage will you take? how much will you deal? as soon as you get that you can win easily
and the bee is the master of trading, not only are you guaranteed to deal 1 point of damage but you can also block an enemie's attack for as long as they dont fly, it can make you gain a turn which might be just enough for you to win
I don't think its trash tier, if you got a lot of immortal cards, the cockroach adds additional meat to stall games.
add the cockroach sigil to the geck and then power up the geck. you really have a power card.. that isn't Oro of course..
Put the 'Whenever used, gain a worker ant' power on the insect totem and and the worker ant becomes an invincible powerhouse.
The first act is where the magic was, created a card which costed 1 sacrifice, and had 7 hp and 7 dmg.
Also attacked from left, middle, and right, and death touch. Best card
Squirrel Totem Tier list when.
I know everyone says blood is the best I've won the game with just mostly using squirrel ants
@@riciirizaldii8811 undying squirrels are just better many lives squirrels because they don't clog the board.
One of my favorite things was when I got a sigil of many lives (what ever the oroboros has) squirrel totem. I has 2 totems and was good for anything.
I'm praying for a patch/mod for this game to expand the act 1.
I don't like the other parts, especially the tech one, and I guess I'm not alone with that opinion.
I like the tech one but only because of the absolute potential in the mushroom boss fight
I had an ant deck too but with the totem on ant, so I always have strong defensive and can sacrifice anytime, it’s almost cheating
The way I use the Warren is that you play a squirrel, play the warren, play the rabbit, and now that squirrel has been turned into 2 things to sacrifice.

How on earth did you get all the images of the cards? I look for it and nothing comes out
"To the flames" doesn't seem like a fair category when you're telling us that you're deciding cards based on their combat ability, and you said that "to the flames" is used to allow you to upgrade more cards, which isn't part of combat. I'd say using cards for the flame would be the same as using cards for their sigils.
To the flames is a category because they kill the campfire. The tier list is wonky but I'm pretty sure thats his reason.

There is a secret (so-to-say) in the first act that replaces squirrels with bees. Even the squirrel deck.
Rat king sigil combined with Cockroach gives an infinite bone exploit. So individually they may be "trash" but they're utterly broken when fused.
Skink with the roach's sigil. Unstoppable.
squirrel with the "when this creature dies it returns to your hand" totem carried me so fucking hard
It's even harder with gives 3 blood totem, as, y'know, you don't always have space for a lot of squirrels
Ohh can you link to the tier list template you used? I wanna make one of my own
i created a card with 2 damage 3 way attack and return while dies in the hand, cost 1 sacrifice , easy win always
Como rayos conseguiste las imágenes de las cartas yo lo busco y no aparece ninguna
Where can I find each of these images?
I think the third tentacle is quite useful: it kills whichever one enemy card you want killed then becomes a squirrel, ready to refund own cost. Better than moleman because moleman will block up to 5 damage before you have to sacrifice it and the tentacle will zero out all of the damage in the lane and from then on you can sacrifice it.
I can't understand how to get this filed mice. I'm playing act 1 for about 10 hours and still didn't found a single.
And i was always choosing 2 blood cost cards and a default card choice more often...

You gotta note that the Warren transfers any sigils it gets to the Rabbit. Unkillable Warren is literally a mainstay of my deck. If I get that, I win.
I love skink, if you get unkillable the tail also gets it. Meaning you have two free sacrifices for the rest of the run.
