Imagine a mass effect shadow raiders//war planets crossover or that the beast planet from shadow raiders//war planets become a main enemy and villain in a mass effect game
Actually, I'd say that the plot of the Freespace sci-fi flight sim series seemed to at least in part inspire certain elements of Mass Effect, especially with regards to the concept of sentient species being targeted for destruction by a seemingly unstoppable force once the former had become sufficiently advanced and attained interstellar travel.
don't listen to all the haters. i used to watch this series as a kid and it was f**king awesome! great story, great characters, even the effects rival some of today's cartoons. this is a must watch!
People nowadays are completely stupid. They either are grown ups who refuse everything after them or shitty kids who refuse everything before them judging with their present standards. This was one badass series
MrFunnylicious you are absolutely correct, this cartoon series are a blast, I used to watch this at Happy Tv on serbian synchronized language, my favorite characters from this toon are Lamprey and Zera, and those today's Star Wars are only second-rate compared to this space-battle series
Below the Asteroids SAMME I KEPT SEARCHING UP LIKE CARTOON ABOUT ice vs fire and stuff like that finally I found my old vhs tape of it I was like HELL YA
Wow, I barely remember this cartoon when I was a kid, hell, I didn't even remember the name of the show itself or the characters, but I remember that was very good.
Shadow Raiders was a great show. I wish it was completed. Just like Reboot and Beast Wars, I loved the story, characters, music, planets, ships, etc. Mainframe did some amazing and ground breaking work.
The show has so many good concepts, it played well on standard sci-fi tropes but really added a lot of new ideas to old-standards. It also had a lot of really great emotional appeal, losing Fire planet to the Beast was a great twist and seeing the survivors as refugees was actually really good for a "kids show". Looking back, I appreciate this show now more then I even did when I was watching as a fan
Mainframe = the production company that enriched and expanded my childhood with complex thoughts and ideas in ways my elementary school teachers could only dream... thank you...
Funny I was just thinking about Phil Mitchell earlier today at the dentist's (he's near the beginning of the credits). He suggested them to me ages ago and they used to have a few of his paintings hanging on the walls but recently did a reno and took them down. For those who don't know, fun bit of trivia, Mainframe was founded by the crew that did the Dire Straits, Money For Nothin' video & Phil was part of that team. We used to play Warhammer after work all the time. I miss those days.
Wow, blast of nostalgia. I remember this series as one that stumbled a lot, but when it took off it would fly so fast it would sing. I'll give it another go.
this remenbers some very old and rare feallings... i saw it every day at 6:00 PM in Brazil at Cartoon Network, now I see how Cartoon was good, diferent of today that only 10% of the TV programs are good... "Everything that is good, takes short time" - A true thing in our lives...
I used to love Saturdays when this show was new. Networks and affiliates used to have a variety of animation. Now, the only place where you can find these shows is cartoon network.
Now this was a kids show. It had substance, style, action, didn't shirk away from complicated ideas but didn't revel in blood/gore. It walked the line perfectly, I only wish there were more shows like this. Until then, I guess I have to settle for this, Reboot, and Batman The Animated Series
It's such a great shame that this show gets so few people remembering it. Yes, I admit it was much like Beast Wars in it's being used to promote a toyline, but it doesn't matter. It's a good show that deserved far more recognition than it got. And you know what? I'd take this show over anything that's been made in the last year any day of the week.
How the hell is it 2018? Literally having flashbacks of myself watching this late or trying to stay up to watch this. When they say life is short they’re not joking. Make the best of it.
I had been looking for this. it was definitely ahead of its time , reboot was good transformer armada , beast wars i was in my 30s back then. wpix here in new york would show them early every morning, i watched as i was getting my daughter ready for school!!
hahaha, I forgot Mainframe was the name of the production company, I thought you were talking about reboot for a second there. Yeah those three shows, Batman the animated series, spiderman, X-men, the hulk, the new ghostbusters, men in black, earth worm jim, freakazoid, the tick, Jackie Chan adventures ..........ohhh man, now I'm going to end up spending all night looking for all these shows on youtube.
YES YES WATCH IT it could have been the new starwars its amazing what they could have done with this series but not alot of people watched it as a kid i didnt care for it but when i got older i found out how amazing this show really is
My guess is that the final season, which was supposed to reveal the origins of the Beast Planet and the Beast Drones, would reveal that the ones who created the world engines were also the creators of the Beast Planet but lost control somehow and their creations rebelled.
Dude I may not have grown up with their shows but thanks to the internet I have and Mainframe they were the Shit back in the day Animation that was gorgeous by early 90's CGI standards compelling stories they had it all.
It was a part of the toys that inspired the show; I remember playing it or its demo that came with one of the planets. Google it, there are several sites that offer downloads.
"Eu sou apenas um mineiro" Nossa eu adorava essa música quando eu era criança a animação hoje pode parecer meio de baixa qualidade mas na quela época parecia incrível, mesmo com os seus pontos negativos: abuso do porque sim, abuso das coincidências e o foto de não ter tido um final.
I watched this when it was on ABC kids in Australia, it was only shown twice in 2000 and 2001 I think, the whole series. I really liked i and enjoyed it. although I wish I knew a bit more detail about it.
Emil Georgiev Thing is the tv station that broadcasted Reboot in my country, Belgium, actually stopped at the penultimate episode which had a proper ending and never broadcasted the last cliffhanger episode. So I just headcanon that Reboot ended on that second to last episode.
@yuyufan What!?........how can people forget this show? battle moons, planets being raided for resources, a giant space war. next to reboot and beast wars this is definitly up there on my childhood list.
I REMEMBER THIS SERIE IS VERY OLD BUT ONE OF MY FIRST SPACE SERIE FAVORITE EPIC OPENING I THINK DOWNLOAD BUT NOT HAVE COMPUTERS IN THAT ERA 😅😮😮😮😮😂😂😂 THIS IS A GREAT SERIE REALLY 😮😮😮🤗🤗🤗😳😳😎😎😎💜❤💖💝🌏🌎🌍
Loved that show as a kid, and I still do. It still remains one of my favorite space opera. Funny thing is, I use to think the show was called Shower raiders. I was just a kid when I watched this, and being from Quebec my english wasn't the best. I was still able to follow the plot from my basic understanding of english, but I bet lots of small details escaped me. But yeah, I have no idea how I misunderstood the title as Shower Raiders... I mean, that would have been a very different show.
Ok... I just got here from the intro to the TV show of Heavy Gear. I had the toys of this but I had never remembered the name. Holy shit thank you for this upload.
Guilty... I forgot about it until I had the opening theme playing (calmer version, or whatever you'd call it) in my head and I was trying to figure out which show the tune came from. Then I just figured it out after a bit of research (helped I watched other shows from same company) so yea... I miss this show =/
This show was just AWESOME, watching this is really nostalgic. Awesome characters, a story that wrap you up and a good animation for that time. This is a show i will never forget, and i really hope they bring it back it someday By the way the universe o Shadow Raiders could become a amazing RTS game IMO, it reminds of starcraft
Seriously it's like they took the best of Beast Wars theme song and mixed it in with reboot but this is state-of-the-art back then so it took it to a plus for me even though I don't remember that show
Now before I just watched the first episode, I never heard of and never seen this series (I'm unaware of it's existence until I randomly saw it when I'm looking up some 90s cartoons to watch less than a year ago). After watching the first episode, I really liked it and enjoyed it. I would definitely need to buy this on DVD, 6 volumes, I heard it's from the same company who made ReBoot (which I'm currently watching on DVD) and some of the voice actors from Exosquad are in it (also Paul Dobson from Skysurfer Strike Force and ReBoot is in it too).
Ya know, if it weren't for the whole toy tie in thing, I don't think it'd be that hard to update this show for today. You wouldn't even have to change the story or characters. Just tweak the graphics and this could be the next Gargoyles or Batman TAS.
Man, this series plot is the father of the "Mass Effect" plot.
Mainframe Entertanmint was on fire in the 90s. Reboot, Beast Wars, War Planets, the holy trinity, so fucking transcenent
don't listen to all the haters. i used to watch this series as a kid and it was f**king awesome! great story, great characters, even the effects rival some of today's cartoons. this is a must watch!

The animation was not so great, but the storylines are the best
Haters? What haters?
@@SERPENTONORTHAM1992 i totaly agree with you
War Planets, Transformers/Beast Wars and so much more on Saturdays. It was good.
What about Heavy Gear? That was probably my favourite to work on.
Reboot. Easily one of the best.
I'M JUST A MINER
Me and my siblings keep making that reference to this day!
That reference become old school elder!!!
No meu país 🇧🇷 é "eu sou apenas um mineiro"
I love when jade actually gets pissed at him for saying that
I grew up watching the show, it has everything you're looking for action, suspense even a little romance but a whole lot of action
Happy Canada Day, because this is a canadian show
OMG OMG OMG I've been looking for the name of this series for ages now and couldn't find it anywhere in the WWW. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
AXN fans +1
Below the Asteroids
SAMME I KEPT SEARCHING UP LIKE CARTOON ABOUT ice vs fire and stuff like that finally I found my old vhs tape of it I was like HELL YA
I just watched this series again. I'm happy to report it's good.
This show was awesome. The intro was way more epic than any of the new shows.
Wow, I barely remember this cartoon when I was a kid, hell, I didn't even remember the name of the show itself or the characters, but I remember that was very good.
@@TerrorDino Yip, same. I searched "90s 3d cartoon with moving planets" - I love Google.
@@TerrorDino I googled "guys with fire hairs" hahaha
I googled 90s cartoon planet eats planets haha
I mostly remembered the main character. Graveheart is such a badass name
Shadow Raiders was a great show. I wish it was completed. Just like Reboot and Beast Wars, I loved the story, characters, music, planets, ships, etc. Mainframe did some amazing and ground breaking work.
golden age of 3D.
Muito feliz por ter encontrado essa animação não perdia na Record

The theme song hits me like one huge nostalgia train to the face...
It feels like a invasion from planet beast for me
The Beast Planet is kind of like Unicron and the Starkiller Base put together.
This must be saved for generations.
A one hour combo of this series and beast wars after a school day.
Good times, Goood times
Que saudade desse série, lembro que assistia na Band quando era criança, tô muito feliz.
I wish I had known about this show as a kid! I had some of the toys and loved them but never knew there was a show about it until tonight.
This show was so legit. I used to watch it every Saturday morning.
The definition of nostaliga.... is this show i want ti back BRING IT BACK... DONT RE-MAKE IT JUST BRING IT BACK!!!
I loved watching this as a kid. As well as Beast Wars and Reboot.
I hope Shout factory releases this on dvd since they released Reboot and Beast Wars
I can't believe it's been so long already! It still feels like only yesterday when I used to watch this before school!
Been a long time since I've seen this...what memories does thir bring.
I loved this show when I was a kid and the opening theme still kicks arse! Thanks for sharing!
Finally found this show again!
Mainframe = the production company that enriched and expanded my childhood with complex thoughts and ideas in ways my elementary school teachers could only dream... thank you...
Petition to reboot this show - not change a thing, just update visuals and give it a coveted 3rd season
No need to even update the visuals, it's perfect the way it looks!
Just add a season 3 or even more. ^^
Thanks for sharing, this was my favorite show when I was little
Old as hell but still so bad-ass!

One of those intros where you first instincts are always to max up the sound.
It by far deserves a watch, it was an amazingly well done show.
It's such a great shame that this show gets so few people remembering it.

My brother was the one who watched the show, but I would come around for this song. It's very pretty.
For some reason, I love the animation in this and ReBoot more than any "high quality" pixar animated film, or most modern cg shows/movies.
@KanekoXLiamB
hahahaha, you are the embodiment of nostalgia my friend.
Una serie a la que le faltaba 1 temporada, aunque si la hicieran ahora seria demasiado diferente al resto de la serie
I remember Cartoon Network LA aired this show between 1999 & 2001
How the hell is it 2018? Literally having flashbacks of myself watching this late or trying to stay up to watch this. When they say life is short they’re not joking. Make the best of it.

Indeed they did, the same guys that made Beast Wars/Beasties as well.
when i xwas a kid i loved this... but one day it never came on tv again.
I remember watching this at the same time Beast Wars ran. Just two good shows that Canadians made...
I miss this show. Would get up every Saturday morning to watch it. Also I had a huge crush on Tekla back then xD
+Emil Georgiev Its a shame that it ended on a cliffhanger.
It was still a better ending than Reboot's Cliffhanger.
Gorvar The Dinoman God don't get me started on that.
Gorvar The Dinoman wait, I thought Reboot ended without a cliffhanger. Must have forgoten.

just amazing, this series can easily kick whatever shit is new on these days, lol, back 8 years ago
