- Ashleigh Gentle has proven over the last two years that she is the undoubted Queen of the 100k. However, after two years of domination, there are those going all out to take her crown with the T100 Triathlon World Championship on the line.
Victorious in Singapore last year, Gentle will be looking to get her season underway in style having opted to miss the opener at the Miami T100. Will that decision prove costly with the likes of India Lee and Lucy Charles-Barclay primed to challenge after a solid outing at the Homestead-Miami Speedway?
For Daniel Baekkegard this race is all about redemption. He primed his entire season around pushing for the win in Singapore last year, only to be brutally out-done by the conditions and fall from 4th to 6th in the final strides of the run leg.
He has promised big things for several years but has yet to do deliver. After an 8th place finish in the heat in Miami, what can Baekkegard do to start to turn those consistent mid-pack finishes into podiums?
One thing is for sure. The Singapore T100 is going to be a rollercoaster ride.

IM 70.3 Oceanside coverage was a disaster. Ads cutting in randomly the entire broadcast. Rolling out their new series with a new IM CEO and brodcaster's would be cut off mid-sentence because they had no clue a break was coming, or they thought it was a break and said so, then the race camera kept playing with a hot mic recording them speaking. It was a failure beyond words. Your quality is on point. IM is always playing chase to PTO. Who cares about IM's brand legacy when the broadcast is unviewable.
At least they didn't have to ride around in the dark and the audio wasn't gone for half the race like it was in Miami. LOL

Amazing promos and build up. Let’s hope the actual coverage race day isn’t a fizzer like Miami was.
Promis up to Miami were great too. Please just let us see the whole race, better graphics. Show us stats. Cmon pto you can do better this time. Will be extremely disappointed if they don’t make any improvements

BLUF=Bottom Line Up Front! PTO & Ironman need to seat down and simply work Together! TEAM-Together everyone achieves more!!! These two independent series have split the PROs to select what they think will benefit them respectively (which typically means where they can make more MONEY), which will end up in events NOT being attended by the BEST athletes! This was evident at Oceanside 70.3 When in both Pro genders did NOT have stacked fields, but yet both organizations and media sites are stating falsely that these events are "STACKED" which they are not!!!!!!! hence point in case Oceanside 70.3 you have two of the "worst" swimmers come in 1st and 2nd! In the women's event there was No "Stacked" field at all as the only True competitor was Taylor Knibb who annihilated the second and third place peeps by 11:00 minutes! Taylor Knibb is the Caitlyn Clark (NCAA Iowa Hawkeye Basketball phenom). Ya'll should see her tonite ( 07Apr24 @ 1500 hrs Eastern Time) when she and her "TEAM" play the favorite South Carolina Gamecocks. It will be a definite Barn Burner!!!! Woohoo!
Another POINT to show how actually these events, both PTO and IM, are not "STACKED", is how PTO in particular are "FORCED" to compromise their "INTEGRITY" by regretfully having to handout a plethora of "WILDCARDS" to definite participants that will be doing just that; participating in the event, and not racing to "WIN"! All TRUE TOP Athletes always say: "......I wanna do this or that event because I know that the "BEST" are going to be there..." Sadly to the eventual demise of Triathalon, these two organizations are what they think is expanding the sport when in reality it is breaking it down!! : ( GG! all the best two you both, lets see as two siblings can play nice with each other?
Unfortunately even how these videos are formatted and presented, its all a media scam, Point in case, how Ashleigh Gentle is portrayed, yet if you were to ask her NOW, what her chances would be against Taylor Knibb today, compared when she ran passed her in PTO Dallas a year and half ago! I would venture to guess that deep in her soul an athelete 10 years older than Taylor, although still respectfully fast, but not as fast as the Current Taylor Knibb!!! This is just fact ya'll!! GG! to Ashleigh and her 2024 season! I love her transparancy! I believe she is the only PTO female Pro that is genuine at heart!!! Thank you Ashleigh!!!!
