I disagree. Agatha having a sad backstory was expected, however that lady was an unapologetic serial killer and it’s apart of the reason Billy did try to banish her. Knowing she could control her powers by cutting of siphoning from Billy means she could’ve stopped for Alice but since she planned to actually kill them all earlier 🫠
She ended still being a villian, she just has a few soft spots but there’s no some kind of hero or even anti hero I’d say. She can be complex and have emotions, this doesn’t mean she’s now redeemed or less of a villian

Usually I agree with your videos, but on this one I think you stayed on the hate bandwagon for a bit too long. You missed or misrepresented some plot lines just to make some jokes.
-pre-show interviews: got to remember they're still under NDA, while need to talk about the show. Some do it better, some do it worse. They could only mention items that were shown in the trailer, which wasn't much. Most of the practical set was in homes, only few magical places were in the series, most prominent was the witches' road. He mentioned elements from that, which was mostly made out of trees and leaves. Not a very imaginative set, not a very interesting interview, why take time to make fun of it, and not just move on. Feels just very weird.
-Plagiarising Sandra Bullock comedies: the show starts with Agatha being under a spell, and she living out fantasies of crime shows she watched. It was deliberately copying existing movies. The plotlines and acting was deliberately bad, because she was playing out something she watched on tv. It was supposed to be bad.
-That young girl didn't look "longingly" at Agatha, she just saw something odd going on, in a small town where nothing ever happens. She was staring, to see if something is going to happen. You can clearly see her giggle. Also, the whole scene is like 3 seconds(with the girl), and is not brought up again, odd choice to bring up in a review of the full series.
-Coochi-Coochi-Coo: the term is often used when tickling someone. Just before this Agatha was asked if she remembers pain, and that it's kinda a tickling sensation. Don't think the use of it was funny or clever, but it's not like it came out of nowhere.
-The "gay" scene: a very odd scene to pick, mate... The whole scene was the phone ringing, he hanging up, and saying: "He worries". That was the whole thing. If you've watched the whole series, surely you've seen them kiss, why not pick that? I know you're talking about the first episode here, but still, why include it here? The whole scene was so brief and innocent, dare I say, this was borderline homophobic thing from you. They don't play around with his sexuality, they weren't even exploring it, they don't even bring it up too often, only in a few scenes. I get that they're putting "too many" gay and queer characters in movies and series these days, but in this case I think they did it well.
-Some nonsense throwaway points about some words being used..
-About the trials: not sure what you were expecting or hoping the trials will be, but they explained it in the show why they were the things they were. Might not have been the most clever trial, but in the show it made sense. I'm not a big fan of the song, but again, they explained why it was used, and again, it made sense within the show. Especially if you watch it till the end, and realise what the song actually is, how it was used through the years, and what it ended up being. Don't like the song, but love the lore they built around it.
-About witches not liking brooms: again an odd choice to pick, it's one comment from one which that is not mentioned again, or plays any role in the series. You didn't like it, move on.
-The treehouse: multiple plotlines meet in there, for a brief moment, but why mention that, when you can make fun of the CGI... and again, everything was explained within the show, and made sense within the show's rules. When the "Asian lady died" they left her behind, because there was a ghost, and the threat that the house is going to collapse on them, but why pay attention when you can just make fun of it.
-Who cares that the origin story was a car crash? there was a good twist to it, move on.
-That's not his power, mate, at this point, just don't even make a review...
-Even in Wanda Vision they explain that Wanda is warping reality. It's not just her imagination, things are actually real. And then in Agatha All Along they again explain what happened, but paying attention to details seems to be too much to ask from you, at least when it comes to this series.
-Episode 7 is definitely the strongest in the series, so much so, that even you had to admit that it was good. Them being dressed up is again explained in the show. Aubrey being death was no surprise at this point, as it was hinted at through the whole series.
-They weren't playing around with Agatha being good or bad. She was bad, the whole time. Always played it safe, and trying to use everyone. She was about to leave Bill to death, it was what Bill said at the last moment that changed her mind. Don't think she was misunderstood, or that they were trying to redeem her. She is just a villain, that has some soft spots.
-What's up with compering scenes from one movie to another? How many movies have been there in total? You think there's still a scene left that doesn't look like a scene from another movie? Same for series. I can understand the comparison between the Sandra Bullock movies and the first episode, where they deliberately copied scenes, but the ending? They went up some stairs into the light, symbolising a new start. It's a cliché, yes, but in this case it was well used.
No mention about the lore of the song, Agatha's child, why death is there, what Bill's role is, what the witches' way is, how some of the witches are connected.
The series is worth watching, if you actually pay attention to it, as it explores and explains a lot of it's lore.
Is it perfect? No. Are there gay/lesbian moments? Yes. Is there a "message"? No.

The insane number of "women ruined marvel😡" comments in here is staggering. I expected little from Agatha all along and was pleasantly surprised at the pacing and quality of writing, and that sentiment has been echoed by most of the level-headed people I've talked to. It seems like, whether consciously or subconsciously, you went into it wanting to hate it, and if thats the case, thats pretty disappointing because i think that what they gave us, particularly in the final three episodes, are some of the strongest marvel content we've received post-endgame.

*Iron Man 2 should have been a Black Widow movie.*
Instead of fixating on Tony's drunken toilet dive, you'd have been following Maximov? as she and SHIELD are trying to hold/bring everything together.
Don't get me wrong, Iron Man still goes through everything that happens in that movie - but you see it more dispersed and through the eyes of someone who saw Tony A-Okay and all full of himself 1 minute, then you return and he's FACED and literally wrecking house and now you've got her trying to deal with that.
Would have been a _way_ better movie - and she deserved it from the start.

As someone who’s spent nearly fifty years watching films and TV shows, I’ve seen stories that range from unforgettable to utterly forgettable. But recently, something feels different-off even-about the direction of modern media. There’s a lack of heart, risk, and moral integrity that once drew audiences in and gave us heroes we could look up to. Today, superheroes aren’t the moral compass they once were; villains are almost always sympathetic, and the line between right and wrong has blurred to a disheartening degree.
Take Spider-Man, for example. He was always the “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man,” a figure of resilience and compassion. Yet in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he tries to erase the world’s memory just to get his friends into college. The plot wants us to believe this is a noble act, but it feels more like a profound violation of trust-tampering with the minds of everyone on Earth for personal reasons. It’s disturbing to watch a character who once had a deep moral center make such a reckless, ethically questionable choice, and even more unsettling when he nearly murders the Green Goblin, only to be stopped by an earlier version of Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire’s). In that moment, it’s Tobey’s Spider-Man, the classic hero with integrity, who steps in to remind us of the values that made the character beloved.
Or consider Wonder Woman 1984. Wonder Woman, a character who once stood for truth and justice, shockingly violates another person’s autonomy by using his body without his consent. Somehow, we’re supposed to overlook this because she’s the “hero.” The issue isn’t just isolated incidents-it’s the pervasive rewriting of heroism itself.
In these modern stories, heroes act in ways that would have been reserved for villains a generation ago, while villains are given complex, almost sympathetic backgrounds that paint them as misunderstood rather than truly malevolent. Morally ambiguous characters have their place, but when every character lives in this gray zone, we lose something vital. Heroes who once inspired us to be better are now often no better than the villains they face. This shift feels like a loss of the aspirational storytelling that once made these characters timeless and provided a moral compass in a chaotic world.
But what makes this trend especially frustrating isn’t just the shift in values-it’s the sense that the industry doesn’t seem to care. When fans voice concerns, they’re often met not with understanding, but with backlash from the creators themselves. Criticism isn’t met with a desire to improve, but with defensiveness, sometimes even outright hostility. Fans are called “toxic” for pointing out flaws or asking for a return to what once made these characters iconic. This dismissive attitude speaks volumes; it feels like creators aren’t invested in understanding their audiences or crafting genuinely inspiring narratives. They’d rather deflect blame than engage with what fans want to see.
Today, media seems more focused on edginess and controversy than on providing genuinely inspiring stories. In the process, we’ve traded heroes with heart and integrity for characters that often feel unrecognizable. Shows like The Old Man remind me that strong storytelling, rooted in character and ethics, is still possible. But in a landscape dominated by mediocrity, cynicism, and creator defensiveness, those stories are harder to find. I miss the heroes who stood for something and the stories that respected their audiences. And maybe that’s what I-and many other viewers-hope to see again in modern media.

They retconned Wanda having powers as a kid into their own story (it was supposed to be from the Mindstone), the Fox Quicksilver bait and switch into a boner-joke, making fun of the comic costumes and ofc the warped "moral", and i use that term loosely, of the show, with her having 0 consequences for her actions.

And I understand Agatha All Along Sure is about a group of middle age witches and a gay boy (all canon lore), so it could not be everyone cup of tea. It's not the most amazing show ever made, but it was pretty damm good, especially the latter part. This review just shows that sometime (rarely) the woke crowd has a point.
