Hey man , Can't thank you enough for the Mayer songs. Don't listen to anyone(about shorter videos) , please discuss his chords and playing style in depth. He's no simple artist and talking about his work will take time. I'll love it if you talk about some chord he uses and his dynamic playing style in general. Like mash few of his songs and discuss the things he's playing. What you have with your videos is something the whole internet misses. Not everyone can do an indepth take on Mayer. Please keep the videos coming. Would love for a "Why Georgia" and "Edge of desire" tutorial . Loyal sub and fan ! (y)

Also, that ending tone and sound is SO spot on!!!!

+Brandon Look It's too bad but my Zoom H4N recorder cut out near the last few sections and all I had was the camera sound (which is not as good). I didn't think it was horrible enough to redo, but the H4N used for the start and middle sections captures the sound much nicer.

If there is anyone who deserves a honorary doctorate in Mayer-ology - this is the man... :D...each video has so much of intricacies into the granular level details.

Hey Z, your lessons are perfect. You explain every single measure thoroughly, and you put a lot of time and effort in making your videos and lessons. So thank you, because I have learned so much from you and I love to play songs by my favorite artist! So don't listen to those hating, this is your channel, and you should be able to make your videos your way, and if they don't like it, well they can screw off :D Thanks again, Z!

Hah. Thanks. Haters gonna hate. In the last 2 years I've slowed down the video production taking more time to get them as mistake free as i can, so there is less to hate. They keep me honest.

I found when playing the bridge that you get a fuller sound if you put the octave of the note on the D string. It's a bit of a stretch, but it gives it a fuller sound. Try picking at the low E string octave instead of muting and see the difference for yourself

Good video, Zartimus. One thing I like to do on the verse part (the 'this is an IOU') is instead of playing the G2 to G4, I play the G2 then open B. It's the same note but I find it rings out better with the chord. Anyway, thought I'd share this, thanks for the video and keep it up as always.

I pride myself on doing Mayer songs note for note but you are very "SPOT ON" with everything. I also like the comments you include. I'll be watching more vids cause I know I'll improve my covers of John with your help!!! Bob Trice

Hey man, just discovered your channel and I must say it's a complete gold mine for any guitar playing JM fan out there. Could you possibly do Wait Until Tomorrow next or are you more of an acoustic type of guy? Anyways, I truly hope you keep the videos coming, they're great :)

+MrCaspar97 I'm primarily an electric player but really stumbled into John's acoustic stuff and liked it. There are a few other electric tunes I'll be doing before that one.

I'm so sorry if I'm annoying because I've been commenting from time to time asking you to consider John Mayer version of "Buckets of rain" especially the one that he played on Casa Del Mar. because i from what i seen is he using standard tuning because he continued to slow dancing without replacing his guitar or tuning in his guitar. so, please consider doing it. great stuff btw!!

On measure 16 there is one version where it sounds like he bends the 6th string G or the 5th string B note as a rapid hammer on pull off also.. twice... like 2/0 2/0. Something like that. Not all open notes...
Edit: ahhhh you covered it in verse 2! Kudos! Great lesson! Just like that. Weird g feel pulloffs
