Thank you for this walk-through it brought back many memories as I took my children to this park when it was still park fun land and they presented a coke can for their interests. We rode the log ride at that time and I see they still have it but they have developed this into a beautiful park and now I’m excited to take my great grandchildren to this adventure as I live just north of Muskegon in Cadillac Michigan so again, thank you this was very interesting And look forward to the visit there.
The Jourdan family should buy it back and give it the love it hasn’t had in soo many years. It needs to be a family owned operation again. Maybe that planned hyper coaster would be back in the works.
I think people should know that there has not been a lot of coasters or rides aded to the park in years. Thunderhawk was the last coaster added to the park in 2008 or 15 years ago. The only new attraction at the park is Camp Snoopy, and its kiddy rides. Which was supposed to open in 2020, but didn't open due to Covid. The only new ride before that the gliders in 2012. which also their new ride in 2013. The farm and some kiddie water park slides, and that is about it. Almost everything in the park was built by the Jourden family. Cedar Fair has invested very little in the park. They spent more money on one ride at Cedar Point, than they have spent in 23 years at MI Adventure. But, I will say the park does look nice. Just wish Cedar Fair would give the park the attention their other parks get. It certainly costs the same as the others for admission and parking.
They should sell it back to Jourdan. He once planned a hyper coaster till he sold to Cedar Fair. Doubt the Six Flags merger will change anything as well. Mostly Cedar Fair execs running the new company now.
I can’t believe it, just a day before I visit this is uploaded.

@@cyrbuzz6615 It will be interesting to see if the Cedar Fair merger has an effect (hopefully good) on the park.
Cedar Fair doesnt invest heavily in this park. It would be nice if they gave it some love.
The only love this park would get is if it was sold back to the original owners. But sadly not happening.

Actually Shivering Timbers opened in 1998.
You’re correct. Construction began in 1997 and it opened in 1998.
