Much respect for every fighter that stops when their opponent is clearly knocked out. Complete disdain for the walking turds that continue to strike an opponent that is clearly knocked out.
All new sports are like that. The first generation starts in their mid 20s with no support. By the third generation of fighters they start as kids and spend their whole lives training and have a whole crew to support them.
I like the women’s fights a lot more because they work on technique a lot more than the men’s divisions. The only men’s division I like watching is welterweight MMA for that reason.
You could do a whole video about Hisae Watanabe in her prime, a little 105-lb Japanese fighter who hit like she weighed 160 lbs. I don't understand where all that power came from. The girls she hit dropped lifeless like they had been shot through the head with a sniper rifle.

If you watched more mma you would know that a downed opponent doesn't mean they're out of the fight, there's plenty of examples where someone gets knocked down and wins the fight from that position or getting back up, it's a warrior sport, boxing is just not on the level of brutality that is needed in a real fight

This is what I came up with: In boxing, knockouts are expected (maybe even the goal?)...whereas in mma, total damage is counted along with takedowns, strikes, kicks etc, not just the knockout. Also its very rare that a knockout happens in mma. And for an Ex: Zhang Weili vs Joanna. Then watch Zhang vs Rose. In the 1st, Zhang won by damage done (expected...it is after all a mixed martial arts fight). In the 2nd one, Rose knocked Zhang out with a perfectly timed and aimed kick (not expected, kicks damage but the usually don't result on knockout) Zhang attempted to get up although she was wobbly so Rose went in with the final punches. This is my unsolicited 2cents and again it is a fair question.

I like MMA but as a boxer i just can't the fact that they punch the opponent that is already KO on the floor.

Because MMA has ground and pound and boxing does not, it's obvious. Boxing also has an 8 count.
