What an amazing tribute. I was lucky to see Metallica on the 19 th September 1986 at Newcastle Mayfair with Anthrax just one week before the tragic events when I was 17. 37 years later nearly I can still remember the concert vividly including Cliff. Never forgotten
It's interesting that we, as fans, would want to visit this sight......but I'm betting James, Lars, and Kirk would likely never ever want to see that patch of land again in ther lives.
It's great seeing Cliff's legacy still carrying on and will for many centuries. Most of the people in the video probably weren't alive yet when Cliff died.

Clifford Lee Burton was a legend. He was and still is the best bass player ever. When I watched a video of him performing, I was just shocked. I thought to myself, “Woah! I didn’t know you could do that on a bass!” Because I didn’t know basses could make sounds like that. I used to think basses sounded the same, but now I know that they all sound very different. Cliff was such a kind soul, totally chill, weed smoking, beer drinking, don’t take no shit from anybody kind of dude. And he was a great musician, a good friend, loyal son and loving boyfriend. September 27th, 1986 was a bad day for the world of metal. Cliff was taken from us too soon, he was only 24, it definitely wasn’t his time. But you can’t change the past. Imagine the pain and the suffering everyone who knew him went through. Think of his family, the pain and the agony you would feel to hear about your son dying in a bus crash. Imagine being Lars, Kirk and James, finding your best friend lifeless underneath the bus. Imaging being his girlfriend Corrine. The poor thing, she was in tears when she got the phone call. Cliff is deeply missed and it sucks to know that 37 years ago, we lost a legend and an amazing man. I’m glad that the impact either knocked him out (the bus got lifted off of him but fell back on him) or killed instantly on impact cause we wouldn’t have wanted him to suffer. It was a fast death and he didn’t go through any pain. Man, I wish I knew him, he was a total badass! Rock In Peace Cliff, the world misses you, keep rocking the Heavens a long side other rockstars that have passed. I hope one day to meet you in the afterlife. ❤
