can't disrespect his playmaking and ability to make guys better...people lean too much on articles written by bitter old men...the same men who said he would never last, he is no better than Marbury and wasn't a top 5 guard in his draft much less the best...go look up those articles...then see if any of them wrote about him being a hall of famer...Sam Smith and the like...at least Philly writers grew to understand where they were wrong watching him play through injuries...if he practiced he would have had even more injuries, because he played one way...simple... Wish he had a better cast or at least another true All-star to run with...he was a joy to watch.
Iverson was always fun to watch. And he didn't carry the ball! his hands were clearly on the side of the ball before he did his crossover... Theo Ratliff's a damn beast too! They could've added more pieces to this team to help AI carry the Sixers to the promised land /GK
@@stevebarry123 The nba was clearly trying to hate on him from the beginning. From dress code to style of play. Unfortunately for them Iverson inspired a whole new generation of guards.
AI displaying a very underrated part of his game. Which is his playmaking ability. Got his supporting cast all types of good shots, and into a good rhythm. And gosh don't you just love those signature Theo snatch blocks. Just like the AI crossover, you always anticipated one of those from Theo every game.
Look how capable all these guys look with Iverson here...Tim Thomas and many young guys Iverson encouraged to go get it...and they got paid (Jumaine Jones, Thomas, Korver, Iguodala, Larry hughes) Vets with no name coming to play with Iverson and they gained a purpose and some notoriety (Snow, McKie, Ratliff, Lynch)
I swear my (then) Sixers always struggled with this team. No matter how well they, and AI would play.. they always seemed to come up short against these Hawks.
Mutombo won DPOY and they won almost 60 games Ratliff was decent but they still won a lot that Finals year, just didn't have shooters like the Lakers did
This shows how Iverson way of playing was bad for team... This is a good oack Philly team and they were just losers... To bad he wasnt a leader.. tho he liked game from his heart

That's what I was saying to how was it a carry it's the side of the ball not under

@8:06 another layup on Mutombo that is out of this world.
@2:37 did you see that layup over Mutombo of all people!!!!! This mans skill is unbelievable. He is layuping in the paint as if he is 7 inches taller.
Lol

The love of the game was so apparent with him. basketball isn't what it used to be.
Thank you
Ratliff was like a much more athletic Mutombo. AI was just so masterful at dribbling that he was always accused of carrying the ball.
Salute my G
awesome quality man! love watching A.I in his late 90s days!
Watching vintage AI, the best of the best Thanks Penny!
looks like Allen was playing Larry browns game
and he does it again
I swear my (then) Sixers always struggled with this team. No matter how well they, and AI would play.. they always seemed to come up short against these Hawks.
They won this game
Young AI vs Mookie Blaylock,ouuuu!!!🙌💪👌👍✌
do you have videos of Iverson in MVP season 00/01 , like vs Portland Trail Blazers,
yes i can upload them later
u are the man! thank you very much!
my boy
if ratlif+kukoc was not traded for mutombo back in 2001, 76ers would have the chance to win the championship
Jaston Campos Ratliff has ball vacuum cleaners for his hands.
I always said this. Damn ratliff getting hurt smh
You're so stupid. Theo had a lot of injuries and big man defense problems, and Tony was almost inactive.
Mutombo won DPOY and they won almost 60 games
Ratliff was decent but they still won a lot that Finals year, just didn't have shooters like the Lakers did
Sixers had a squad on the cool
LARRY BROWN SHOULD'VE NEVER MOVED IVERSON TO SHOOTING GAURD.. IVERSON DIDN'T NEED IT.. AND IT LOW KEY HELD HIM BACK INTENTIONALLY
They hated A.I crossover
I honestly feel like they tweaked the Iverson let teams too much….year by year. They had Tim Thomas and Joe Smith
They could’ve kept Thomas but Joe Smith really wasn’t needed. Even though he was still young when he left Warriors his production dipped
Iverson vs Mutombo

si Iverson hubiera perfeccionado su tiro de 3 sería casi invencible.
have you ever met him loll
