Thank you so much for taking your time to show everyone how to use the two software as well as how to combine all the data into the software. You did an excellent job.
Great video Robert. I have the M30T and M3E, but I still use the A2 for quick missions. Think I’ll try Dronelink now for the air2. Looks better for mission routes than mme. Thanks!
I’m also mapping in Dronelink with an MA2 and processing with MME. It’s a great combination and allows lots of opportunities for customization and 3D modeling. Thanks for a great video!
@@stoplying6325 There are a number of different plans, according to what you want to do. I started with Dronelink’s Mapping Only plan but added more later. They are a great deal for your $.
thank you so much for your expository and highly educational resource. the reason I watched this clip was that I was slightly concerned about the usefulness of using an MA2 to make a mapping project. I had only seen a team of project experts making use of a Phantom 4;
Thank you, David, for taking the time to write such a considerate comment. I appreciate you watching, and if there's anything I can answer, I'm happy to try. Thank you again!
First of all, excellent tutorial, thank you. When you set the "return home" what would happen if you opted for "auto land"? Would it land at the starting point or at the end of the mapping grid?
Thank you very much - I really appreciate that! So, among the 3 broad categories of plans (Hobbyist, Business, Mapping), I'm in the Hobbyist category. And, within Hobbyist, there are 3 categories (Basic, Premium, Elite) - and I've got the Elite plan (one time charge $99). You raise a great point, too. To do the Google Earth export, I believe the minimum plan is the Elite plan. Thanks for the question!
Hi. I recently acquired a mavic air 2 with smart controller. I saw this video and it looks very easy to plan missions. With my dji smart controller, I can't seem to install any apps including the dronelink. How can I use dronelink with the mavic air 2? thank you!
Great video, very helpful- thanks for sharing!. Question - Whats the reason for you using dronelink instead of running the full mission through maps made easy/map pilot pro? Thanks!
this morning made my first mission, as far I had only problems installing it on RC. First of all - my mission was not successful due to the loss of signal between RC and 2s. I did not see a flight map, only a black polygon. I couldn't create new mission plans, waypoints, or whatever. The mission I created yesterday night on my PC, was not there in dronelink app. The idea to turn 2s into a useful tool not only a toy is great, but unfortunately, I was not able to. Any ideas, I am open to learning and finding out what went wrong. Atbildēt
Excelente video muchas gracias.
I'm interested in purchasing this app, but I have a question. Can you adjust the battery level at which you want the app to instigate a RTH? The reason I ask is I never like to let my batteries run below 20%.
Hi, that's a really cool video. May I ask, do you have control over the drone while it is executing the flight mission? Can you move it around if there is some sort of unexpected danger e.g. birds, obstacles, other aircraft etc. or can you land it if you need too before the end of the mission?
You can PAUSE the mission and take control. When you RESUME, the mission resumes from where it stopped and completes the mission. You can even resume the mission after several days.
Hello, I recently bought a mavic air 2 to perform aerial photogrammetry. I would like to know if said application (dronelink) works without internet to carry out planned flights? I understand that the planning can be done from my home, can I save the flight plans and then execute it in the field without internet? I will appreciate your reply. Greetings from Peru.
Thank you for your question, Kevin! The answer is yes, a Dronelink mission can be easily downloaded to your phone while you're connected to the internet for offline use. Then, at your location, internet is not needed to execute the mission. I've flown missions without internet, and it does work great. Greetings!
On Dronelink say entry level subscription can you get the drone to keep its 200m height as it goes up a tall hill?? Or is it basically restricted to flat for all but the high subscriptions
I have a noon question, not trying to be smart or funny. But what exactly is the purpose of mapping an area that is clearly already mapped ? Like the central park, you're already looking at a map of it while you set up your flight path. I just got my first drone (air 2s) a few weeks ago and have recently learned about drone link. It sounds really cool but i just don't understand the practical applications of the mapping. Can someone please exain this to me ? Please and thank you !
Because it is better quality imagery than google earth and more up to date. Sometimes google maps images can be several years old. Drone mapping can be utilised for all different types of industries such as construction site progress, farming and monitoring conservation etc.
Amazingly thoughtful way to present this material! I'm a fan!
Thank you very much. This was a very clear and insightful instructional video! make more!
Good choice for a mapping plan, flight, and post process.
This is great. I am still confused but gonna rewatch and take notes.
Great info!! Thank you💯

Nice job! Like your teaching methods. Easy to follow.
Love the video and thanks for your time. I hope dronelink will have a software for mavic 3

Excellent learning videos. Is there a way to see what type of drone services are already in my area or what drone services are needed?
In the intro you show 3d model of the area. In the end we only see 2d, what settings should be changed to preview the 3d?
Excellent video! The only question I have is, which Dronelink plan do you have?

Which package from dronelink allows for this type of planning? TY!
how are the images? it seem like the drone is really moving along. Are the photos sharp??
Can you do this with the free version of dronelink ?
If you shot this in 48 megapixel would anything change in the flight besides the quality of pictures being that much crisp ? Thank you
Great video, thank you. Do you need to use ground control points with this workflow?
Can u use DJI mini 3 pro
The Mini 3 Pro isn't compatible with Drone link yet, but it should be compatible in the future.

MME will not let you use a Mavic Air 2
Which dronelink package did you buy, or do you subscribe to? Thanks. Great video.
is there a Perimeter pathway option for the grid?
Can you do it same with dji mini2??
Maybe this is a stupid question but how do you even use third party software on the mavic air 2?
Well put together video! Will drone link adhere to any warnings that may populate mid flight? Say like a aircraft that comes into the airspace etc?
Dear sir, on which platform were you running the Dronelink flight app, I am is it a tablet, phone, or RC, and which operating system?
How did you connect to the drone?
I get all the way to the flight and cannot connect. You appeared to have an automatic link.

What if the area you want to map is not updated on Google Earth or Google Maps. How can you map the site if it's under construction?

Does DJI Air2s support Dronelink ? I have been waiting since long back

Put dronelink into terrain following instead of the default which is a fixed altitude based on the starting location and it will rise over the hill.
