@@BobbyKDesigns I am a gardener doing my own gardening in my yard for going on 30 years. I have had a some help by a good friend along the way. I enjoy propagation and introducing plants that do well for my zones. I have tried to xeroscape my yard so the plants mainly rely on water from mother nature and me when getting plants started initially. I do enjoy walking around the yard to see what new plant is blooming or how things grow after a good rainstorm. We also have bird feeders out in the yard. Sometimes I don't want to go back inside.
@@nancywells5626 Hi Nancy this sounds like something I would have written LOL. I am going to be redoing my front beds come September as here in Canada right now it is too hot to move plants and we have had no rain. I have a 70 ft house facing North, and at present have a bed on either side of front porch filled with Hosta. As in a past video I saw here today I have a tree as an accent in the one bed. I am making the beds bigger as they are not in sinc with the house, and so am thinking a small retaining wall as there is a bit of slope on one side, and then spacing out the plants as they are really crowded, and adding some boxwoods and one colour of day lilies for contrast of leaves and . I have propagated some short grasses to put on the edge of the beds, to keep it clean looking. I am 76 and do all my own gardening and am excited after watching this channel which I just found today, and use some of the tips here . I will be watching more of Bobby K designs for more ideas.
@@dorothyandrews8872 It's so nice to have a nice yard to come home too and enjoy while at home. Enlarging the plant beds started with areas closest to the trees, so as not to weed whack the base of the Oak and Palm trees. Then if there is a big patch of weeds, weed out, cut a shape out and plant it up. Then at some point connect and enclose several beds.
I just came across your channel and I'm loving all your content!! I would love a video on balancing hardscape and softscape for curb appeal that doesn't have competing focal points. Also, need ideas on what to do with a blank exterior wall (large gap between windows). Thanks for all the helpful videos and info!!

@donna hamilton. Thank you! I like composite because it last way longer, is easy to clean, and you don't have to stain it! No brainer IMO. I like the brand Dekorators.
