Draconic, Primal and Exalted Angel for destinies. There's probably a more optimal one than EA, but I prefer the extra wings for soloing. As for equipment, you're correct. I'm using Pomuras' Impaler for insightful/quality cold sp. I'm currently using Esoteric/Elder's/Chained Elementals sets with 3 different crit damage items (cold, lightning and force).
