I love this song so much, I thank God for giving me a loving grandma, I missed her so much
I truly miss my Mother and she loved her some Pastor Shirley Caesar. I played Pastor Shirley's music while my mother was on Life Support in Hospital. They told me my mother may not be able to hear anything but I say I know she will hear Ms Shirley praying and singing. She did my mother could hear,, cause tears came down her face. Thankfully
Similar, the same is true of my mother, Pastor Shirley Caesar was my mother's favorite female Gospel singer. As a child, she introduced me to Pastor Caesar's special gift of singing. We would sit for hours listening to Pastor Shirley sing this continued until her passing. I am grateful for these memories.

I've had a rough life. My dad tried to murder my mom when I was 2. My mom ended up abusing me because I reminded her of my dad. I've always been poor and suffered from food insecurity. I've been homeless and hungry. My heart has broken to the point I wanted to take my life and I've hurt myself. But God knows my name and he has a plan for me. As I was a child in my mother's home, I gave her 100% of my LOVE and RESPECT, as without her guidance I would not be the person I am today...a retired educator with a B.S. Degree and M.ED Degree from Florida A & M University, Tallahassee, Florida. My mother is in heaven now, but I know she is looking down and smiling, as she knows that I continued to live and give her honor and praise for whatever I accomplished in my education and in the workforce. I am elated that I gave my mother her flowers while she was alive to smell the blossoms or roses. I will always remember my mother, as she still lives within me, and I'm 65 years old.

I met Shirley Caesar in Savannah Georgia in the early 80”s at a good friends house.. The Carswell family . She was amazing to meet in person. And her piano player Steve also .

She gave him that "momma" look, walked over to record player located behind the bar and put on this 45 vinyl. I miss my gramma so much. I wish I showed her how much I care about her while she was here. She took me in when my momma couldn’t. She watched over me while I was learning to play the keyboard for church. I remember she would show me how to keep the beat while I played. I was too hard headed to listen so now I’m trying to figure out how to keep the best at 26. There was no one else Like her. I love her. Sometimes idk if I believe in heaven but I grew up heavy in southern Christian culture so the thought is still there. If there is a heaven, I want to be there with her forever. I miss her so much...

She sacrificed so much for us to be educated! She was 75 and passed away in 1992! She loved the LORD!!If you delight yourself in Him, He will give you the desires of your heart- She desired to pass away in her sleep!
