- On this episode, Mbusi Sokhela, more well-known as DJ Sox, sits down with DJ Sbu to chat about his past, drug addiction and rehabilitation process, the South African Entertainment Industry, Durban's Finest & DJ Tira, and his new music.
Sox is my all time Durban DJ and entertainer. When he disappeared I thought he went back to business. This grootman is very very very humble and talented.
I remember when DJ Sox came to my School (Vukuzakhe High ) in 2014 talking about drugs from there I never even think about taking drugs and Ngyabong brazo for showing the way
DJ Sbu listens, his style of podcast is fire🔥🔥🔥🫡
Sox’s story is very inspirational and can help many people in the situation like he went through.
If you want quality sit downs with lots of lessons this is the right platform...Thank you DJ Sox for an honest interview and this what we need from guests. Thanks to Sbuda for this platform

Dj Sox what a humble guy.. Grootman ayi cha ngiwu dlalile mculo wakho, Sox, Tira, China man, salute bo buti, sbonge ngoku sjaivisa...
Our Durban's Finest, we are so proud of what Sox and abo Tira did for Durban.
Dankie Grootman for bringing DJ Sox on the podcast. He is by far the best Durban spinner on the decks. Back in the day we use to club hop from Afro Lounge, Koko and many other Durban Clubs just to listen to his sets, that man is a real pioneer in the game 🔥🔥
EMfwethu kusa khona oScallas no Plush.
I knew something was wrong. You'd bump into him walking around Durban looking dirty. It's great that he's overcome all that and talking about it, other artists overdose and pass away so he's very lucky
this is one of the best interview it restored me to work even harder
Ndiyakuncanywa awuty yam.. We need to normalize saying such words to our brothers and sisters man. Big up to amabraz Sho Sox bhuda
That's the voice of maturity. Big up Sox!
I grew up listening to sox and tira.i am happy you survived what kills most talents in our country may our Lord Jesus protect you from evil spirits
non the less this is one of the best interviews on this platform

Powerful interview thank you Sox for sharing your genuine story baningi abazofunda. Dankie Sbura 🙏🏼🤛🏾
Very beautiful interview. Thanks Sbu and Sox.
I enjoyed the interview ,blessed .
Remember back in the days when he was on gagasi fm and they hosted a show with dj tira and king sfiso every friday at 8pm, never missed a show…always heard new songs there. He started missing shows and at some point i think his car got burnt up not sure what the story was there.
Glad to see he has bounced back fully✊🏿 “usenzan…we sox usenzan…ebsuku kangaka usenzan”
Bro I use to download his mixtapes. Lol got pissed that it's 30min long
Dope interview, what a humble guy

Thina seslinde iUnderground🎉🎉🎉🎉
Really enjoyed the episode getting to hear the story of Sox ,its the first time I hear Sox voice, through out the duration of the episode I have been thinking that he looks young not like someone who had been on drugs, that's why I loughed out loud when Sbu mentioned that too,Sox and Tira have very similar aura ,its just that Malume undwebile. You stand firm in your style Sbu,serious and education ,a little bit of humours that we know you of,I loughed out loud when you said ,:You are not like Oskido, igrootman yajaiva daar etiktok😂😂😂😂😂
Great interview
*You cannot tell me Mthokozisi had nothing to with Sox's drug addiction;obviously out of envy.Only authentic EThekwini residents will get it. Especially those who've frequented Afro lounge;Tilt;Skybar;Country Club...etc... back in the day.GODSPEED Soxin* 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
If was,why is he still at the top of the game?
Accountability is important. Blaming others is not it!!!
@@moe_ramz 100%thats where our people lack always pointing fingers,I like what Sox said he did
Sokisi we need your old music/albums on DSPs.
Lanuka iSokisi DJ Sox the Legend himself these two guys with Dj Tira have made an undying movement in Durban" abaphathi beTheku labo Dj bowuTwo"

Uuuph' u good'man,,uuph'umgwinyoo(in broe Thebe's voice).
I will always respect Dj Sbu ibhuda for affirming this one thing bafethu Uthando you know he always says at the end of the show, "we love you my brother, we love you my sister...." nguSbu lowo ngimthandela loko... Funny not even one guest ethi dj Sbu ngiyakuthanda my brother.. Sho grootie. #Sibanye

Love how Dj Sbu doesn't interfere,he listens while Sox is talking.. Masokisi 👌👌👌👌👌👌
There is an element of truth with Sox, he grew up in money, fine women and a flashy lifestyle didnt 't phase him..
"uMusic uqhamuka ezintwaneni but ithina esiwudlalayo." FACTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
i restarted my pc . i thought my speakers were broken

Tira was inspired by this guy, i hate ama drugs this guy was once the king of eThekwin
New word..."Gqom-Techish" by DJ Sox
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview.
* Please try getting someone who's gonna quality control the episodes before they come out, Sox's close up was off-synch in certain parts of the interview.
I wish Sbu should have focus on the drug side n let sox tell it alll, his career we all know about it
#onelove
Beautiful interview
sox is sharp
Good episode a good life story...Sbu needs to remember not every viewer is a ntwana who aspires to be a DJ....seems to direct a lot of his conversation at them...word of advice Sbu...leave the teaching and mentoring to after you retire from the game...that way any mistakes you male now wont temper with your credibility....right now your brand is under attack over the Zahara issues...its not the right time to come out advising....entertain bro...dont educate..leave that to after retirement or to cleaner brands or educators...
Don't forget to hit the "Like" button.
Lanuka isokisi..........................

Uyafana no Mablerh u Sox
Black Coffee is the only, or one of the few celebs that has never suffered from drug addicts. I wonder why most artists have never learned from him. But ke singabantu asifani.
Lanuka isokosi madoda my favourite dj
Masokisi 🇿🇦
Sox used to just look at women with a straight face, while dj'ing and not entertain women
11:10 _11:18 Sbu is like " Mo ways do."
Lanuku isokisi...!!!
Asbonge Knoxman
No Audio first 38 secs of the vid
