It's refreshing to see a show end peacefully. Not canceled due to poor ratings or too expensive. Not tangled in a web of ownership that nobody can make it. Not living for more seasons than it should have. Just they didn't want to make more episodes.

I feel like the perfect length is 4 seasons. Because there's lots of content and it usually doesn't get bad. With the final episode being an hour long finale

the show aired here in germany for probably around 7 years, i really enjoyed it whenever it was on. all the characters are interesting and not annoying, and every episode had something unique about it. i've never seen the ending, so im probably gonna rewatch the entire series now :)

I kinda like that fact theres a single dad with 2 kids. You dont see that too often and when you do there is always a love interest for the dad

Just seeing the title of this video unlocked some hidden memories for me. I had a blast watching it as a kid, especially as a bonafide cat person. Definitely wasn't an active watcher by any means, I bounced from show to show in my childhood and this was no different.
Every so often these past few years it'd drift into my memory. I'd remember the name or the characters and it just felt foreign, as if it wasn't real. Glad to see it wasn't a collective hallucination shared by a bunch of kids!
Nowadays Kat wouldn‘t even be able to try to hide the evidence with everyone recording this type of stuff. Kat seems like the type of being to post their wrongdoings on TikTok ngl
Kid vs. Kat was one of those shows I actually watched as a kid. Now I am older, I still remember that show and it's very underrated.
do you still remember the i think it was a 2 part final? i remember that the Kat try to mine wipe ever one, but i think all but Kid and his best friend still remember what Kat is.

I loved this show. I watched it when I was a kid and I always rooted for the cat, especially when they revealed its sad backstory. I remember Coop and the cat teaming up against some bad monsters one episode - that was my favourite. Oh and for some reason the show's title is different in German, it's "Coop vs. Cat", I was really confused at first

_Kid vs. Kat_ is one of the shows that I actually watched on Nickelodeon as a kid and some say that it's similar to Invader Zim due to the similar premise. The difference between the two invaders is that Kat is more intelligent and sane enough of being competent at invading than Zim, and could succeed if it wasn't for Coop outsmarting him. Not to mention Mr. Cat is capable at solid hand-to-hand combat with the Kid.
So in general...it's IZ, but without the smart satire and irony.

Such an obscure show that was locked away from my memory, but nostalgic everytime i hear about it
Got excited when this popped up in my recommended, because I swear I don’t know anyone who remembers this show. I remembered it randomly a couple years back and binged it. It felt refreshing. Nothing better than going back to old shows like these, especially when they’re as silly as Kid VS Kat.
I used to weirdly love this show as a pre-teen, but for some reason I completely forgot about it's very existence until this video showed up in my recommended and unearthed some weird but formative memories

I remember the nights where I would sneak into my living room whilst everyone was asleep, turning on the tv and watching this show for hours on end. I haven't heard anyone mention this show in years, and when I was younger, I loved the show!

This show is a huge part of my childhood! I watched every single episode and remember always calling my friends over to watch. We always joke about the old neighbor lady Mrs Munson. This is probably one of the few Canadian cartoons I have a fond memory of. The show's artstyle also inspired a lot to my art works. Thank you for covering this
As a kid I honestly loved Kid vs Kat, but it was never on so I only got to watch a few episodes. I can't remember what they were about, but I just remember being sad it wasn't on a lot as it only ever aired near 10 to 12pm and I rarely ever got to stay up that late. I remember loving Kat more than Coop as I was (and still am) a cat person. I'm SO glad people remember this show and that it isn't lost to time.
Lmao it's so crazy all I see are people complaining about it being on at night and I'm here with distinct memories of watching it on Disney xd in the morning

This show's opening is so repetitious and catchy that it basically carved itself into the back of my head with a drill. It will just come to me at 3 AM and never leave.
The opening is also jazzy too.
And I loved how the lyrics were only "Kid VS Kat"

Yes!!!! It deserved more seasons! I also loved when Kat and Coop would put aside their differences. Like in the Christmas special in season 1. Yes. I cried. That shit was emotional!

This show left such an impact on me, because here in Brazil we had a social network called Orkut, that was very popular, it was the go to social media for brazilians, and I remember as a kid running into a whole fandom of kats, where other kids would make ocs of the alien kats and make profiles pretending to be such kats, and I met some really nice friends there. I remember this girl named Victoria in which we would talk all day. And we were all like, 11.
The show was crazy popular here and I miss it, I watched all the episodes and hold it dearly

Ok, so... I completely removed this show from my head. I swear I would ALWAYS watch it and left the tv to my brother and sister afterwards. The moment I saw some of the clips in the video I started to remember the voices and how some episodes went. Nostalgia hits hard man... and I'm glad it does.

I remember absolutely loving this show as a kid. It was the first cartoon show I loved. Mainly because I was 100% a cat kid. I also loved villains. So you create a show with a cat villain? That was purrrfect for me! Now, looking back, the show isn't amazing, but it was still a special part of my childhood. I remember trying to catch this show on TV but I'd miss a lot of episodes. Around that time, I started getting introduced to the internet and someone uploaded all the episodes on early UA-cam and that's how I managed to catch the rest of the episodes I missed. Thank you to whoever uploaded those episodes a decade ago.

I actually liked this show, it was so entertaining, I would watch it while I was getting ready for school and after school. Good memories, hope it ever comes back to the TV again.
I remember Kid vs Kat and i liked it but maaan it came out in the worst possible time for me because i couldn't get Disney XD at the time it premiered here on Latin America.
It's really cool to hear about the origins of the show and yes it worked for what he wanted to do.
Also it's amazing to hear about a happy ending for a show and creator for a change.

Wdym? I'm from Mexico and I watched this since day one. I even remember when we had Jetix.
Here on Paraguay we lost Jetix in late 2007 i think and then time later we got Disney XD (we were tied to Argentina's version of the channel because we have no infrastructure to get those channels running)
i have subscribed to your channel because you are talking about the cartoons that i used to watch as a kid . And you give detailed analysis why these shows ended .keep bringing our nostalgia back like this .

This show was actually entertaining back in my childhood. It’s sad it only had two seasons.
KvC was my favorite cartoon as a kid, I kinda wish they made one more season but it's not needed it's still a nice chill show I spend a lot of time watching as a kid. It's one of these shows you forgot existed but when you do start rewatching ALLL the memories of every episode start coming back

this video ignited memories that were buried deep in my brain. i wasn't a dedicated watcher of this show despite being a massive cat person but it was always a pleasant surprise whenever i came across it when i was in the search of watching something on TV

I loved this show! It's not one these shows you tell others about during tea time, but you might remember it exists and get REALLY excited about it while drunk at 3am.
The art especially is something that stuck with me. Simple shapes while also being detailed in the right moments and a masterful mix of lined and lineless art

Ever since finding this channel and gaining knowledge on old cartoons that seem to fade to nowhere, abruptly end, or have a final episode and finding people who also shared the same personal thoughts that I did towards specific cartoons, I am happy to find that you finally talked about KVK. Its still to this day one of my favorite shows to watch on Disney when it aired at about 1am in 2010.

I was in high school when the show came out but I still love it hahah it really was a simple but super endearing premise. I used to joke that my mom's cat was trying to kill us all and get the house hahah

As a kid I loved this show so much. I would watch it whenever I got home from school on Jetix and then as Disney XD started to hate animation (grrr) I watched it when I stayed up all night playing games.
The show taught me a lot about responsibility, in retrospect. I would always wonder why Coop even bothered when no one would believe him or appreciate his efforts. The kid was literally saving the world from being dominated by advanced alien species and all he got from it was trouble and a bad reputation. At the time my school was starting to teach responsibility, but was still focusing on being rewarded for efforts. Coop just taught me that you don’t need praise to do the right thing or gratitude to help the people you care about. The episode where he was “done” and tried to ignore the cat’s attempts at world domination but couldn’t because he cared too much about protecting the people he loved and strangers and the whole earth hit me so hard.
His GF also set my relationship goals high early on. As a kid I just thought it was so cool how she believed him and would help/support him. Like that’s what I wanted to see from his dad and sister.
The concept actually does sound like something that would fit equally into either a cartoon or a daily comic strip. I could legitimately see a Kid vs Kat comic strip happening.

I remember watching this for the first time in 2009 in hospital, while recovering from an operation. The following years I used to watch it so many times and even draw comics about it. Good memories.

Man, just by looking at the clips in this video, i can remember almost every episode perfectly, i loved this show.
i did watch it on CN pretty often as a kid! I loved any simple shows or books with animal main characters so it was clearly what i'd tune into lol. was cute and fun, i can't remember if i laughed that much but i felt invested in what the cat would think of next and to know where it was from.
Imagine if the Peter vs Chicken fights were a kids show.

This was one of my favorite shows as a kid! We basically had the whole series in our DVR.
I enjoyed the show alongside Jimmy Two-Shoes and would often tune in when I could. That said, it's hard to argue with some of the criticisms of the show, such as Millie always getting her way, no one outside of Dennis and Fiona believing Coop about Kat and Coop getting blamed for most things that go wrong just cause he's used to it.

The episodes are funny as hell and always a joy to watch. It’s amazing how one cat can be so intelligent. It’s never anything simple. The plans, weaponry, and everything in between are very complex.
I've watched this show a ton as a kid and just had some memories unlocked by some of the images and scenes in the video. I vividly remember an episode where the sister, I think her name was Millie (?) had a new friend who didn't like Kat and insulted it, so it thought Millie didn't love it anymore and it left to search for a new family. I mean, sure, the Cat is evil and all, but it still made me sad lol. I was always so happy at the end when Millie told the girl off and reunited with Kat and it was just cute lol

I was always excited to watch Kid vs Kat when we were visiting grandma (because we could not tune to Nickelodeon or Disney and satellite was too expesive). Back then, i never heard about Invader Zim, so it was one of many really memorable shows to me. Probably because of the art style, animation and (Kat's) facial expression.
This show is like one of a kind paintings that you'll find off the main exhibition: they're not really too expressive but they'll make you enjoy this small piece nontheless.
You just unlocked so many memories for me. Thank you.
Shows like these definetly left a hole after childhood that can only be filled temporarily by remembering what it felt like watching them
