Note: when using a rotary polisher do not go in straight lines or in repetitive patterns. You will leave visible lines in the finish. With a rotary polisher always go in random patterns and swing it around a bit to hit different sides and corners of your work area. Good luck. Nice video.
I have never seen compound in on a wet surface like that? Can you let us know exactly which compound product you used here? Also, is that a wool bonnet? People need to know these things
I don't think his vehicle is clear coated and is single stage paint judging by the paint on the wool pad. I think he used water as a buffing agent. I never saw compound used.
Thank you for the video. I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty Sport. The top cover and the top of the hood are oxidized pretty badly. Im interested in putting in some equity into it and doing it myself. Your steps seem pretty short and simple. Are there any additional videos that you recommend to view
I think this is a very risky proposition for removal of oxidation!! Please keep in mind, most people that will undertake this project are novice car cleaning people at best! Thanks but no thanks!
Haha doesn't even say what the compound is either Also I'm curious if this applies to the white blotchy oxidization and not just the overall uniform kind
There's links where it says "show more". If it's down to white blotches, you've gone past the paint. Nothing will fix it except paint repair or a paint job. Just my opinion, but the sanding is not necessary. This guy has spare time that I don't have. "McGuire's Ultimate Compound" & a variable speed polisher does the work of the sandpaper. Use any car polish once you buff it with the compound to maintain the shine.

Great informational video. Will be using these techniques on my 2002 PT Cruiser which we use as our dingy car when going camping
Any results?
Both useful and entertaining 👍🏼👍🏼
thank you, was wondering, what causes that orange peel and what do you about that. thanx
Is it safe to wetsand a paint job with no clearcoat? I'm guessing your suburban has a single stage paint job and no clearcoat?
What about if you have a bunch of rock chips? Can you still use sandpaper?
Great tips
Thanks for sharing, nice job!
