Facts, they need to do a massive map pack to bring players back. Like a dlc/update that brings 5 new maps, weapons, new enemies/ actual nurgle demons, and new unlock able cosmetics. Until then, this game is on life support.
Was hoping for you to cover the changes to Bulwarks and Ragers along with adjusting tactics against them now. It was probably the most impactful partv of the entire patch, at least as far as gameplay goes.
New bulwark feels soooo much better. Now flamers have a bug where they will get stuck in an endless kicking loop though lol. Also toxic bombers aren't spawning in auric maelstrom

The nerf to ammo aura is just lazy and dumb. There's two philosophies at play here: 1) It was fine the way it way and only the X amount of ammo on Y activation needed to be looked at 2) An ammo regen aura is too strong of a utility and can never be nerfed properly to allow the other aura options to be picked. adding a 5sec CD doesn't change or address either of those phylosopies. It needs to either be a vet only passive / talent or it needs a more nuanced change rather than a dumb CD restriction.
It needs to be a vet only passive imo - Veteran is the shooty guy so he should be able to do shooty things, but the others careers are not and shouldn’t be able to spam shoot and still have ammo left over.
The puzzles are significant additions to each map not to mention there are a TON of areas that have been reworked or added entirely to accomodate them. The heretic idols are nice to find and nab for extra pepsi cans. The new unit and new combat modifier also make everything different. In ny opinion playing Darktide for an afternoon finally feels as good as VT2 for an afternoon. The maps finally feel like an interconnected and lived in city, the way helmgart did.
My friends and I have been enjoying this game a lot over the past 3-4 months, this gave us a shot in the arm when we started to be ale to complete auric maelstrom missions reliably. Thanks for the run-down.
What was the zealot update. Only played one gas mission ( high intensity) . Seemed to be everywhere as opposed to blocking off some areas . Don’t 100% get how it works. Seems you get a warning then it comes on a few seconds later
Despite what everyone is saying I’m pretty happy with this update, is it the giant content update we were hoping for? No, but it definitely makes the game better for new players, as well as giving older players free high quality cosmetics we have been asking for. It’s not perfect but it’s a step in the right direction
I like to call this update the glorified UI and Battlepass update. That is what it's pretty much all about. Yes, we have a new enemy type, who's just a bombadier on crack from the twins and a new condition and a few tiny QoL changes, that barely if at all function. Fully customizing your character is apparently suddenly possibly, despite previous claims of it being never possible due to how the game was built. The update was split into two, I am aware, but the things we got are undercooked and several penances don't function at all. Further more, in order to get the new armor from the trailer, you have to complete EVERY. SINGLE. PENANCE. And they don't work properly. Yes, I know, "You can't catch everything!" but if you can not catch the one thing you change. . . What are you doing? Who is testing your game? Obviously the players! I pointed out that some penances need fixing and what I got in return was a mod getting pissed at me with several white knights joining in. I swear to god the second half better add proper crafting and actual new content, or I'm gone. Vermintide gets all the love, Darktide would be better off handled by a company that cares for their game. It's been what? Nearly 1 and a half years since the full release - and the game has yet to reach a point where I would say "Yeah. That's a 1.0 now! That's a complete game!" The only thing that gets consistent updates is the cash shop yet again and I'm bloody sick of it. I want to love the game, I want the devs to put love into their game - but what we get is devs who clearly don't play their own games, who don't test their updates and who try to get away with the bare minimum. Look no further than Vermintide 2. Why yes, it had a rocky start. Why yes, it had issues and bugs with almost every update, yes it had a draught too - which was caused by Darktide. Vermintide is getting all the love now, the versus mode feels amazing, they listened to suggestions, heard the player base, changed aspects from the closed alpha to the open one. . . It's a game full of love, passion, every map feels unique and the micro transactions aren't offensive. They aren't the only thing that gets frequent updates. Matter of fact, they get less focus than the game itself. I just hate to see 40k getting wasted on this disaster company.

Thing is vermintide just doesn’t have enough players. I play on the ps5 for vermintide. But I play darktide on the Xbox and get more players on that game.

For idols yes. Skull is the first time you or someone on your team extracts with it on that specific map - If you have it but someone on your team does not then you’ll get the bonus again (at least that’s what the dev blog said)
Yeah this just won't do it for me, I'm not coming back to a poorly balanced, colorless, ding-dong of a game so I can get a new pointless cosmetic, keep trying FatFish, you might get it to V2 quality in a few decades.

Whilst Vermintide got a new map alongside a new unit. Still not worth the re-install just yet.
Fix the misc first. Make it worth worthy to install DLCs and focus on the progress later

Question, do you get plasteel every time you break an idol? And the skull is plasteel the first time only?
