@@drjekelmrhyde this is No secret in Europe or Brownsville,Pa. This is an Italien dish called OSSOBUCO which means "Hole of Bones" because the bone marrow IS responsible for the taste. It's usually made on the stove and the shanks only fried long enough for color and aroma. It cooks for 2-3 hrs. and the flavor/juice helps make the sauce. WE use the same Red wine You're drinking at Dinner. There's also a dish WE eat with it called PALENTA which is Corn meal mix with water or Milk. Like making Creamy of Wheat and also RISOTTO RICE. I've seen this made by quiet a few Folks and it always amazes Me each time. Like all good dishes that taste fantastic this WAS a Poor Man's recipe in Italy and like Ox tails, Chicken Wings, Hoghead cheese, and and and was made expensive because by Those that already had Chips. I use the same recipe for Turkey necks. Glad to see the right Folks are getting the right Info.
EXCELLENT VIDEO Thank You so much for sharing this I have been cooking for over 50 years and did not know this You can teach an ole dog new tricks. BAHAHAHA
MAN!!! Look at the juice coming off them thangs when he took them off of the grill! I knew this was going to be fire from the moment that I saw the seasonings that he was using. Good job on those shanks bro.
Yes, it’s time to look for a larger braiser. I was thinking mine is the same size. And , I don’t like overcrowding my meat when braising and I would want more veggies in there. 🤗 My daughter said that we should just use one of my larger Dutch ovens instead of buying another one. 🤫
@andreachambliss3383 yes i got to get a bigger one lol. I had to get those funds right first! And a little more veggies aint hurt nobody!! You will be in the game.
Yea these bout to go up too, sometimes everythang dont need to be told. Too many content creators are putting this up and its about to go up by about $4-5 real soon Welp guess i better stack up now, damn i dont tell people about these just because i know they bout to get skyhigh if too many people find out
I can remember when oxtail was barely $2 a pound. Today at my local grocery store it’s about $16 a pound. I refuse to buy them at that ridiculous extortion level pricing. Even Beef Shank pricing are now steadily increasing.
Starting to see a lot of Aboriginal people talking about these beef shanks, now they are going to raise the prices on theses like oxtails. We need to find a better way to spread the word, lol.
Get in the game with that Baptized in Cajun Seasoning! Use Promo Code IMINTHEGAME and get 25% off.
Y'all got to stop telling everyone the lick. A certain group of people find out, and the price is going to go through the roof.

@@CookingwithManualFocus I am.
Lol sorry fam I meant to say I got to try that method.
What temp did you put them in the oven for?
Hey fam sorry about that I thought I listed the temp in the description but I went 300 degrees.
@ much appreciated. Trying this out on Sunday .

Yessir! 😂
Hahaha! Yessir!!
Now you'll got to keep this a secret. When anything that's good like Ox Tails the price goes out of the roof.
what if I don’t have a smoker?
You can sear them and then braise them and they will still ne delicious!
Starting to see a lot of Aboriginal people talking about these beef shanks, now they are going to raise the prices on theses like oxtails. We need to find a better way to spread the word, lol.
So whats your suggestion of spreading the word lol?
@ how did you find out about beef shanks ?
Are you from Australia?
I have oxtail seasoning
Shanks are a better choice than eating something so close to an animal's ass.
😂😂😂😂
Ossobuco
2/3 of oxtail is fat and bone 🤣 I bet if you figured it out you are probably paying over $20 a pound for the actual meat.
Tru!!
This is torture.😩
Such a dark video. Contrast wise, not content.
Sorry fam still working through some kinks but figuring it out along the way
@CookingwithManualFocus no need to apologize, brother. That's an easy fix. Everything else is on point, I'm about to try your recipe later today.
Thank you fam!
