Great to see you back at testing! The TB14 on the Sandalwood and Amber candle, I think looks pretty decent! The flame is quite stable and I really like the edge of unmetled wax it creates, that will protect the jar from getting too warm on the 15 h mark. When it comes to this, I use the laser thermometer and if the candle jar temperature is below 60C and the flame is stable, then I'd say is safe. You may get a better HT towards the middle. Some soy candles just need time to develop!
@@mariaocampo7240 Maria!! Its soo good to see you here! I hope all is well 🤍 Great to see you comment lovely! Hi lovely, thanks for the video and showing us the tops. I found exactly the same with the sandalwood and amber, sandalwood and vanilla oils from Nikura, zero hot throw and very mild cold throw. Their Cherry fragrance had a very odd chemical smell that gave me a headache evertime i tried burning so i had to stop. I havent tried the Jasmine so I'll give it a go. I like Nikura as a company and their service is fast but i think their frangrances are very hit and miss sadly.
@@passioncommit8575 Hi lovely , thank you for watching and supporting 🤍 I completely agree , I was having this conversation with another one of my followers and I said fragrance oils are really a hit and miss in general in the UK market. I remember 4 years ago I tested fragrance oils from the US and the quality is just beyond but shipping and custom fees are sky high I wouldn’t shop from abroad again. I feel like in the UK you really have to search for good quality fragrances which also means for us spending more money and trying various of suppliers. Ooo I really dont like that odd chemical smell! Yeah I completely agree that it is a hit and miss and I enjoyed their essential oils are not too bad xo
Have you considered making a test candle without a wick so that you can wick up or down without making a whole new candle , just make a hole with a match stick when it’s set and place a few centermeters of the chosen wick and heat gun to close the wick securely, if it’s too small or big just pull it out and try a new one xxx it saves so much time and money , thank you for your videos , I love them
@@anabi386 Hi lovely , yes I actually use to do wickless testing but I somehow stopped doing it! I could definitely try doing this again , like you said it does save time and money. Not unsing a CL in RCX? I'd go for CL14/16 You can also use L. X in some RCX, depending on where you got the wax from. I never get a good throw from any sandalwood fragrance. Get an apple corer and dig the wick out and change it
@@DDTC73 I need to order more CL wicks , I have ran out lol! I do enjoy working with CL wicks with both RCX wax and my S41! I need to start doing more wick less testing! It would be interesting to know if you buy your suppliers for the UK or US?
@@mawahebhome I'm UK based, though I do get some oils from the US, but only through friends who live there. If you know of a great sandalwood FO, I'd love to know. I'm currently trialing a blend of S41 with CS1 and it's great

what a shame the jasmine one hasn't kept burning, at least you are loving the hot throw from it , so that is a success. . I've made an oval candle with the Nikura Tobacco and Vanilla... it had a very strange smell when making the candle... a very strong clove smell... the cold throw smells nicer, but i'll leave it another week before burning. I used two of the smaller Eco wicks as its oval. it has a similar volume to the round 30cl candles.
@@clairegillies hey lovely, I know 😔 when I walked into my room I was like whaaat?! Really!?
