Great to see you back at testing! The TB14 on the Sandalwood and Amber candle, I think looks pretty decent! The flame is quite stable and I really like the edge of unmetled wax it creates, that will protect the jar from getting too warm on the 15 h mark. When it comes to this, I use the laser thermometer and if the candle jar temperature is below 60C and the flame is stable, then I'd say is safe. You may get a better HT towards the middle. Some soy candles just need time to develop!

@@mariaocampo7240 Maria!! Its soo good to see you here! I hope all is well 🤍 Great to see you comment lovely! I love when you watch my testing videos , I always appreciate your experienced eyes when I testing my candles! 🤍 I need to get the laser thermometer , it seems helpful! I do notice that soy candles/natural wax take a little bit more time to release fragrance x

But they don't look cringe to me... however, I felt the frustration and overwhelming with all of the experimenting, though 😬😬
I'm two weeks into candle making. And I just want to make them for my loved ones. And I am going through some pain too! I haven't got one single candle burning right 😅😅

@@mawahebhome I will leave the business part to people like you. You deserve it!! Years of work, oh my God!
As for myself, I am making the candles for someone dear. I can make my own molds so instead of flowers, I will mold a flower which she likes in form of a candle. So thanks to your advice, I can actually make it happen! Thanks for encouragement! ❤️
And back to you! I've seen many tutorials but you are explaining the whole process with fails and wins. It is more easy to understand, it's... human. Even if some of us think it was cringe back then 😄

Hi lovely, thanks for the video and showing us the tops.
I found exactly the same with the sandalwood and amber, sandalwood and vanilla oils from Nikura, zero hot throw and very mild cold throw. Their Cherry fragrance had a very odd chemical smell that gave me a headache evertime i tried burning so i had to stop.
I havent tried the Jasmine so I'll give it a go.
I like Nikura as a company and their service is fast but i think their frangrances are very hit and miss sadly.

@@passioncommit8575 Hi lovely , thank you for watching and supporting 🤍 I completely agree , I was having this conversation with another one of my followers and I said fragrance oils are really a hit and miss in general in the UK market. I remember 4 years ago I tested fragrance oils from the US and the quality is just beyond but shipping and custom fees are sky high I wouldn’t shop from abroad again. I feel like in the UK you really have to search for good quality fragrances which also means for us spending more money and trying various of suppliers. Ooo I really dont like that odd chemical smell! Yeah I completely agree that it is a hit and miss and I enjoyed their essential oils are not too bad xo

Have you considered making a test candle without a wick so that you can wick up or down without making a whole new candle , just make a hole with a match stick when it’s set and place a few centermeters of the chosen wick and heat gun to close the wick securely, if it’s too small or big just pull it out and try a new one xxx it saves so much time and money , thank you for your videos , I love them

@@anabi386 Hi lovely , yes I actually use to do wickless testing but I somehow stopped doing it! I could definitely try doing this again , like you said it does save time and money. Have you tried taking a chunk out of the candle and tried using as a melt and see if the hot throw is good then you'll know if its the wick x

Not unsing a CL in RCX? I'd go for CL14/16 You can also use L. X in some RCX, depending on where you got the wax from.
I never get a good throw from any sandalwood fragrance. Get an apple corer and dig the wick out and change it

@@DDTC73 I need to order more CL wicks , I have ran out lol! I do enjoy working with CL wicks with both RCX wax and my S41! Interesting perspective, maybe suppliers are not able to get good quality fragrances with Sandalwood or maybe its a difficult note for suppliers to work with! I need to start doing more wick less testing! It would be interesting to know if you buy your suppliers for the UK or US?

what a shame the jasmine one hasn't kept burning, at least you are loving the hot throw from it , so that is a success. . I've made an oval candle with the Nikura Tobacco and Vanilla... it had a very strange smell when making the candle... a very strong clove smell... the cold throw smells nicer, but i'll leave it another week before burning. I used two of the smaller Eco wicks as its oval. it has a similar volume to the round 30cl candles.

@@clairegillies hey lovely, I know 😔 when I walked into my room I was like whaaat?! Really!? Haha but like you said HT was coming through and I am sorry about the strange smell , I feel like fragrances from any company is a hit and miss , you get the odd few fragrances that work well but then you have to shop with others to try and find the same quality. I am glad the CT came throw nicer , hopefully the HT comes through better! Please let me know , oval candle sounds like a dream 😍 when you are able, the tonka and tobacco flower from Cosy Owl smells alot better than Nikura Tobacco and Vanilla , definitely worth a try xx
