hello, I'm Brazilian and man, I started my guitar lessons because of you, you inspire me so much to play bon jovi, which is my favorite band, please keep going :)
Me: "i wish i could find a good video of wanted dead or alive to understand how to play it" Jesper: drops a cover of wanted dead or alive Always me: "i wish someone drops a video of never say goodbye" Jesper: "drops a video of never say goodbye"
Wish I could make my guitar have such a good use as yours, but I don't have even half of your skills. You rock, man. Congratulations and never give up (and never say goodbye to your guitar haha).
Mate, this is such a sweet cover, and I echo your sentiments in the comments section. I too love the acoustic version, but they did play it electrically quite a lot on the SWW tour in 86/87, then left the song alone for a while on the NJ tour apart from late in 89' when they tried it out acoustically in London at the Hammersmith Apollo, then again in the final stages of the NJ South America legs of the tour in 1990. It became a feature on the 92+ KTF tour acoustically, and the in future years/tours made sporadic appearances at many shows, some of which I was present at such as Cardiff 2001 on the OWN tour. I believe this song was written by RS as a gift to Jon & Dorothea, and he actually sang the lead vocals on the demo for the SWW sessions (see youtube)...This song for me, as a lifelong fan and veteran of 100+ 'live' shows, just sums this band up, the raw emotion in the lyrics, the musical progression of the art form of the ballad, which for this band grew from Love Lies/Burning for Love on the debut Bon Jovi album, Only Lonely then Silent Night on 7800 Fahrenheit, to this song, to Without Love on SWW, to Living in Sin/I'll be There For You/Wild is the Wind on the NJ album, to Bed of Roses on KTF...these songs track the journey many couples take in the early days, and are timeless. I could go on...
