    Wow- so I just found your channel today & I'm so glad I did. Your projects are all so beautiful & I really appreciate that you show & explain things & not just rush through or skip steps like I've seen other people do. And seeing you use embossed cardstock as a means to texture clay is gonna change my life, I swear! I'm always on the hunt for new textures but I never would've thought to do that so I'm very grateful that you showed us! I'm really looking forward to watching all of your past & future videos & I thank you so much for sharing. One last thing- I read through the comments under this vid & honestly, I really wanted to curse out at least 2 of the commenters. Some people are SO disgustingly rude & selfish & inconsiderate & narcissistic & think that the world revolves around them & that the rest of us should just bend to their every desire & whim because of how special & important they are. It makes me sick. People like that don't deserve to even have access to the content that kind, generous people like you are willingly sharing with the public. Please keep in mind that you not only can't make everyone happy, but mostly- that you DON'T HAVE TO make everyone happy. Do what you want to do, forget about the ignorant trolls & their superiority complexes and please know how grateful the rest of us are for your generosity & willingness to share☺️

      Thank you so much for all your kind words! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I'm so glad to hear how I've been so helpful to you! You are what I strive for in every tutorial I do! I know you can't please everyone, but I try! I'm just enjoying giving back to the polymer clay community with everything I have learned from watching others. I have a Facebook group. If you're not already a member, I'd love to see you there! I hope you enjoy my other tutorials as well! Thanks again so much!

    If anyone other than me is doing dishes or housework of any kind they can all the noise they want! 😂😂 years ago I was working out in my yard around 11:00 PM. I have really good light from the street lights. I had an elderly neighbor who was always keeping an eye on me. She saw me out in the yard, but didn’t realize it was me so she called the security that patrols my neighborhood. When the security officer arrived, he said something about got a call about a suspicious person. I laughed and said did it come from Peggy? And he said yes. I was glad that she was attentive but still thought it was funny. I told him to tell her that if she ever sees somebody working in my yard at any hour, and they’re not actually doing anything bad, let them work!! 😂😂😂 another funny thing about her was I always called her Miss Peggy. My girls were young at the time and I heard one of each of them at different times, they’re nine years apart in age, refer to her as Miss Piggy!!!! 😮 I was like oh no, it’s not Miss Piggy it’s Miss PEGGY!!!! 😂😂😂 thankfully I don’t think she ever caught it. Anyways, she’s no longer with us so I miss her dearly. Such a sweet little old lady. Thoroughly enjoyed her as a neighbor for many years. Anyways, onto something not so sad. Beautiful beautiful work! I love this! I love using mica powder any time I can!!!

    The water doesn’t affect the mica powder before it’s resined? Also what’s the purpose of sanding with different grades of sand paper? I’ve seen other videos and they also do that. Thanks for the video it was very helpful.

    • @PatriciaBearden
      @PatriciaBearden  4 роки тому +1

      Not to much at all with the Prefect Pearls they have a built in resin. Sanding starting off with 400 grit helps get rid of imperfections. The higher up you get in your sand paper gives you a better finish and a better buff and you can buff your piece to a high shine. Took me awhile to get that too. You're welcome and thank you! I am glad you found the video helpful!

    I am wondering why you are making a texture sheet out of Clay when you have the card texture sheet. I'm just confused by the title. It's more like your taking something textured already and just applying it to your clay to get something you can color. I do think the end result is quite pretty. But, the title is a bit confusing for those that want to learn how to make their own texture sheets. Love the mics powders! Just getting into them myself. Please turn off your phone or turn it all the way down.

      Well can you wear a texture card sheet lol??? ...She made the templates most likely using a card stock and an embossing folder that she ran through a Sizzix or a Cricut machine. You can' t run clay through a Sizzix to get that pattern. Very cool idea and great video.

      I think it’s perfectly obvious what she’s doing, and why. How else would a texture sheet be made? To get texture on clay, you have imprint texture from something onto it. And why does she need to turn her phone down? I personally think you’re a little rude.

      You didn't have to watch the whole thing, you know. Art takes as long as it needs to take. Imagine how many hours Patricia spent just making this video. • @frankcosta6592
      @frankcosta6592 4 роки тому +2

      Donna Hess constructive criticism is a much better approach, but I believe that it is helpful for some newbies to see what to do when they make errors. Remember, not everyone is at the same skill level as you. You can still ff through things that aren’t at or above the skills that you’re trying to learn. But I appreciate you coming back to the conversation, and not being hostile. 👍

      @@donnahess6348 Thank you! I do watch them... every one of them. What's in the video is what I want to show a newbie that's just getting into clay. I am here to help, not my intention to bore my viewers. So I get your point. But I hate when people go from point A - Z and I didn't learn anything. So I like to see it all. What I like to see when I view a video is, I want to see problems and how they dealt with them so if it happens to me I know what to do. I am still learning myself, I am just an intermediate. I still have a lot to learn.
