always like watching yours videos. I also have fine hair and always check your chanel for clip ins ideas. so beautiful and happy to see your edges back.
Do you have any tips or a video on how you’re growing your edges back. I have traction alopecia from braids and hairstylist pulling wayyyy too tight I’m going to follow your video and do my own sew ins wish me luck lol but you think sew in will keep making it worse?
That’s what I’m dealing with as well! I’m giving wigs a strong pause while I focus on my natural hair! I’m nervous because my traction alopecia is very noticeable.
I think doing your own hair will help bc you can control how tight to braid down and sew. I also recommend switching styles between sew ins (like ponytails, clips in, v parts and u part wigs). I also tried steroid (injections and topical) treatments from my dermatologist. I did a video on it, it really helped me. The most important thing, is work with what you got and wear styles that complement you and make you feel comfortable/confident. 🥰🤍
@@ChakaStarkesthat’s where I am when it comes to my edges! I already had traction alopecia then postpartum shedding took the rest. I have to work with what I got.
Thank you!🤍 I say go for it! Just be super careful not to cut your hair and lay them the way each time. It’s easier than you think. Might just take a couple of times, but you got this!
Your edges are definitely coming in. What products are you using now, I struggle w my edges and we had similar edges before but your hair is much fuller than before. ❤
Thank you so much for noticing! I really didn’t think it was that noticeable. I’m gonna do a video with a full update soon. Can’t wait to put you on, boo!🤍
Thanks for watching! That’s a great question. I leave the ponytail in bc the clips will be less secure. If you have thicker hair it may be a bit harder to hide the ponytail. Let me know if you give this technique a try.
Omggg thank you so much for noticing! I think I found something that does what I need it do. Still testing it out but Ima do a full video soon. Can’t wait to put you on.🤗🤍
Thanks for watching! Great question! If I’m wearing my hair up or in a ponytail I’ll slide it out but if my hair is down I keep it in. You can’t see it and it’s more secure and comfortable that way.
Thanks for watching. That’s valid, clips can be damaging depending on how you place them. If you’re going to wear them for a while I would recommend trying the braid down method.
Your edges are really coming back in nice!!!!😉
Ayeee! Thank you so much for noticing! Full update coming soon.😝🤍
Your sew-ins tips are second to none! I have never been so pleased with my sew-ins. So many compliments 😊
Omggg! Thank you!!! That makes me so happy! So glad all my trial and error is paying off beyond me.🤍🥰

Hi loved this video! I have very similar hair to yours and I struggle
With being able to give my self a silk press, how did you heat train your hair
Hey boo! Only my leave out is heat trained so this method works best for me.
LOVE THIS❤ I want to layer my clips ins but I’m not sure how it will work when reinstalling . Any tips?

Do you relax your hair
No, I blow it out and flat iron it. My hair is heat trained. I have a full video on how I do it if you’re interested. Thank you so much for watching.🤍
Hi @chakastarkes so did u remove ur ponytail or no ?…if u remove your ponytail in the back does it make the clip ins feel loose ?
Thanks for watching! That’s a great question. I leave the ponytail in bc the clips will be less secure. If you have thicker hair it may be a bit harder to hide the ponytail. Let me know if you give this technique a try.
Love it. Your edges are back!!! What did you do?

I have a question instead of a comment. Do you remove the rubber band from your ponytail when you complete your style?
Thanks for watching! Great question! If I’m wearing my hair up or in a ponytail I’ll slide it out but if my hair is down I keep it in. You can’t see it and it’s more secure and comfortable that way.
As always I love this. Is this your natural hair color? Or is it dyed? I’ve been considering dying my hair that’s why I’m asking 🙃☺️
My hair is naturally pretty dark but every few months I use semi permanent color to make it appear thicker. Lil hack that works for me😝
@@ChakaStarkes Thank you for your reply. I ended up dying mine and am loving the results as well 🥰
so you remove the pony right?
I only remove it if I’m wearing it up otherwise you can’t see it ☺️😝
Hi @chakastarkes so did u remove ur ponytail or no ?…if u remove your ponytail in the back does it make the clips ins feel loose ?
I'm concerned about damage to my hair wearing the clips during my vacation.
Thanks for watching. That’s valid, clips can be damaging depending on how you place them. If you’re going to wear them for a while I would recommend trying the braid down method.
