    Point is Bose sounds as you out side of club, but B&O sounds as you inside of the club ! Bang Bang Bang ❗️

    I have the a1 and I'm really pleased with it. I bought it two weeks ago to replace my libratone zip mini. For its size it sounds incredible and if you have the extra cash and your looking for a bluetooth speaker the a1 in my opinion is a fantastic choice.

      Clash With Max I have both here. The A1 and Revolve+ and if you re not playing them near to maximum the Revolve+ does not sound better than the A1. It is tuned differently but for sure not better sounding. There is some tracks where the Revolve+ wins but on other tracks the A1 wins. So enjoy your A1. Its a great speaker! :) For the money I would even say its the better speaker. In Germany you sometimes get it below 150€ where the Revolve+ is 330€.

    Thanks Toni for doing the review despite you not feeling well! I think most people criticize the Bose because they haven't heard one live in the open... I was skeptic about Bose too - never own one Bose product... but this one is making me sit up and listen... :)

      You really have to try these to know; the Bose mid range is spectacular. I tried and found it’s clean, but the highs are shrill and metallic; easy to get ear fatigue. Revolve plus is kind of flabby; out of the three I’ll take the revolve, which is tighter and more coherent.

    I like the more balanced sound performance of the Bose Revolve + overall. The B&O sounds slightly smoother and cleaner on vocals and jazz. But to my ears as far as the total package the Bose Revolve + excells.

    Thanks for including so many genres of music---most of the time these videos don't play space music, sitar, jazz, throat singing or any other interesting music that requires good separation and higher range.

  • @jordanlah

    No doubt the highs and mids on the A1 has more clarity compared to the Revolve plus... if only the A1 bass can be heard at least 1 meter away.... sigh... no perfect speakers exists anyway... but both of these come close. :)

    • @TheOfficialDuBsTeC

      I know this is a bit older but.. basically you want that "extra" bass? I bought the A1 and also just needed that small bit.. downloaded the Beoplay App and adjusted the Bass one Notch up and now its better hearable in my (only) 20qm room though near the Device it already sound pretty bassy so it really depends as you mentioned on the distance etc. :)
      I DO like what this small thing delivers and got it for like 149€ few weeks ago was worth it for me. :)

    • @hardcorehouse

      I tried them in person; the A1 has enough base and it’s nice and clean but the highs are shrill and metallic and easily cause ear fatigue. Revolve plus is a little too loose for me; the revolve is the best of the three in my opinion.

    Good job Tony, here the Bose shined more for sure in some tracks the A1 sounded empty with no punch where the Bose had plenty body and consistently the Bose was slightly less bright in the highs. but over all I agree Bose sounded a bit more hi-fi, still missing something for me.

The Katch won the 2016 product of the year in What HiFi... they say it's 50w, which is a lot more than the Mini rig, which is the speaker I was going to buy until I started to watch all your reviews :)

    personally i think the Bose is a better here because the sound is more deep but at the price A1 is offered and considering the almost similar sound, i think A1 is better but if price is not an issue, Bose would be a better choice for most. another thing to consider would be is the Helsinki as both are at the same price and as Jose mentioned, the comparison would be great.

    Beoplay is well balanced. Bose has too much bass it overpowers the highs and mid-range. Overall sound quality.. i'd go for A1. Personally tried to audition both at a store without the intention of buying anything but ended going home with A1 (unplanned).

    I like bose way more than A1...eyes closed could immediately tell which one is the Bose. While the highs are more soft than with a1, the overall sound is richer and more open/wide...just my observation, based on which I decided to go with the Bose (beaides sound also advantage of 360 and I've read so many bad comments for A1 regarding battery issues, overheating and fluttering bass after less then a year of usage...)

    • @hardcorehouse
      @hardcorehouse 10 місяців тому

      Bose has much nicer mids and highs; A1 is nice and clean but the highs are shrill and easily cause ear fatigue. However, the revolve plus is a little too booming, which is why I would prefer to have two revolves instead of either of those other two.

    the A1 sounded better than the revolve and it sounds better than revolve+ in most tracks in this test , when there is voices or violons with the A1 it sounds like they are in the room , with the revolve+ it sounds like they are in a box , i'm not saying the bose is bad but it is definitely not worth £300 , maybe just $150 - 180 ?

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 років тому +3

      jp s haha you must be kidding.
      The Bose is in another class that the a1 and worth at least 250$, if you like the tuning of it is a other thing.
      You forgot the outstandingly good bass with the revolve and the ok treble despite being real 360 degree.

    • @MrHkstudent
      @MrHkstudent 7 років тому +1

      Speaker Toni The bose revolve and the + was not worst at all. But I am not buying a portable subwoofer. If it is, no one should care how treble and mid performance on that bose. However We are talking a portable speaker. Like Oluv said it is hard to find song to review. For some songs, the small revolve was better than the large +. For some songs the small revolve should have some treble problem...etc. The question is, why should I have to change my song list to prove the speaker value? Why I should buy a portable speaker? Cause I want to listen MUSIC.
      No speaker was perfect, but in case of Revolve and A1, Revolve provide nice bass but BOSE style treble; A1 provide nice clarity treble but someone said uncontroll bass. So I prefer A1 more, as I only have to keep the vol below 60%( I have to mention again, my A1 did not get this issue) then I can listen my song list well. I don't have to change my song list to make the speaker work well or to prove it is valuable.

    Can you help me with a doubt?
    The middle ranges in the revolve plus are heard somewhat diffused and not very reinforced.
    Is it a defect of this model or does it only sound like that because it has omnidirectional sound and your mic is not able to fully capture it in the room?

  • @mikehastings1364

    Dont know but I still think the a1 sounds nicer on most tracks. The bose is not bad but considering the price i am not impressed. i got my beolit 15 for 250€ at amazon.de and that definately wipes the floor with the bose. I think the bose would be ok for 200-250€, but the price is definately too high. Well but maybe its also just the recording. So perhaps i give it a try at home against my a1. I have to admit that I like the b&o tuning on general. I also like it on the p2 which has almost the same tuning as the a1

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 років тому

      Mike hastings the Bose also keeps more bass on higher volumes. I guess it's subjective which one you like more here.
      Wow, 250€ is a super good price, good deal;)

    • @mikehastings1364
      @mikehastings1364 7 років тому

      Ja das war ein Weihnachtsangebot bei Amazon. Ich habe für den A1 das gleiche bezahlt als er raus kam als jetzt für den Beolit 15 an Weihnachten. Ich habe übrigens auch den go&play und auch da gefällt mir der beolit besser obwohl der harman kardon sicher der natürlicher klingende ist. Werde aber wohl den Revolve mal ausprobieren. Man muss ja immer mal wieder was neues testen. Dee JBL Xtreme hat mir zum Beispiel am Anfang super gefallen aber nach einer weile war mir irgendwie der Bass zu schwammig. So verändert sich der Geschmack

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 років тому

      Mike hastings der b&o spielt nur schön er als der Go Play unter 50%, meiner Meinung nach.
      Bitte die Erwartungen an den Revolve nicht zu hoch setzen, da er in einer ganz anderen Klasse als die beiden ist

    • @mikehastings1364
      @mikehastings1364 7 років тому

      Speaker Toni ja da gebe ich Dir recht. Ich höre aber mit dem Beolit fast immer nur bis ca 50% zuhause und da habe ich für meinen persönlichen Geschmack tatsächlich noch keinen besseren in ähnlicher Grösse gehört. Ist aber alles natürlich eh immer Geschmackssache. Bei den Revolve Speakern gefällt mir die Bedienung. Die ist beim A1 und leider auch beim P2 Mist. Der Revolve oder Revolve+ würde den A1 ersetzen. Nicht den Beolit. Ist mir schon klar, dass das ne andere Liga/Gewichtsklasse ist ;)

    • @mikehastings1364
      @mikehastings1364 7 років тому

      So hab mir den Revolve+ gegönnt und auch schon viel mit dem A1 verglichen. bei leiseren Lautstärken ist der Revolve+ nicht wirklich viel besser nur etwas ander getuned würde ich sagen. Wirds lauter hat ee aber deutlich mehr Druck. Mir gefällt das Design insgesamt aber besser. Die Knöpfe mag ich und auch den "Henkel". Hatte zuerst überlegt den kleinen Revolve zu nehmen aber er ist kaum leichter und der fehlende Henkel sind störend. Wie gesagt... was den Sound betrifft kann ich verstehen wenn man den A1 bevorzugt. Ist wirklich Geschmackssache. Trotzdem hat Bose da wirklich nen tollen Speaker gebaut. Da gibts nichts zu meckern....

      you can adjust bass in the beoplay app (even just once and it keeps your setting) - it can get pretty boomy if you want it to.

    • @doodgeslagenmug
      @doodgeslagenmug 6 років тому

      TheOfficialDubstec oh that’s nice! But i’m not sure about the battery life of the a1, oluv said it doesn’t last very long at high levels or even above 50%.

    • @TheOfficialDuBsTeC
      @TheOfficialDuBsTeC 6 років тому

      Hm it really depends on the volume level and for what you will use it.
      I use it at home to have a "movable" Speaker (and one for my iPad/iPhone to use it) and.. I listen between 33-66% all the time I got between 6-9 hours of usage somwhere around it.
      But I would recommend the Update which fixes the "pow pow" effect and probably also some Battery stuff I guess.. wouldnt go other 80% in doors its very loud and starts to distort in the last quarter like.. almost all speakers in this class do. ^^
      So I mean both sound very similiar but here in Germany you pay 2x for the Revolve+ while you could get 2 A1 in Stereo mode or just keep the money and buy 1 A1 with similiar experience - in the end its pretty personal I can confirm though that the A1 outperforms the "non+" and keeps up very well as oluv and Toni say. :)

    Pareciera que suenan igual pero si te alejas un par de metros notarás la diferencia, Bose se escucha mucho mejor y si pones a estos 2 equipos en ambiente abierto la diferencia será mucho mas notable. No saber de acústica produce confusiones. Por otra parte ¡cuidado! si estás en México B&O no tiene representatividad en la republica mexicana, solo se vende en un lugar que está en Santa Fe en la cuidad de México, lo que si se te daña vas a sufrir las de Caín para que te lo reparen. Por otra parte Bose es menos costoso y sí tiene centros de servicio en varias partes de la republica.
