Yeah I love that. It’s bs but I love it! I read it was tied around the pinky finger. But I also read that there was Chinese and Japanese versions of it. I didn’t have time to go down the whole rabbit hole figuring it out but cool story nonetheless. I also thought it was neat that it’s the “city of love” which is Paris so it sort of combines Chinese legend and Paris the city of love into one story … which is funny because there is a billion dollar replica of Paris in China that is mostly a giant ghost town.

I found it cool how they melded both Eastern and Western cultures together e.g. the insoles on the Light-Bone pair with the different skin tones as you mentioned and the Red String of Fate to tie it all together, paired with the 'City of Love' theme. Making Saint Valentine proud! What a neat touch with nice attention to detail on this pack.
I have both pairs and I can tell you the burgundy ones are super snug on me. I would definitely recommend going up at least a half size. The coconut ones were ok. The width is what felt tight on me
I feel the white pair could have had a little more details or slightly better materials like the burgundy pair has it seems kinda plain but. They are GR's so I cant expect anything crazy. The only gripe about the white pair is the satin material thats probably not the best material for a skate shoe if ur actually gonna skate them.

Weird because i have always went TTS on SB dunks. I also half sized down on the Jordan 4 SB I hit on TTS burgundy crush from SNKRS but no luck on the coconut milk.. with the Satin and you mentioning they are more forgiving i think ill try my chance at half size down from resale on the lighter pair. I absolutely can not stand heel slippage smh picky feet. Swear I'm a true 9.25 or something

Yeah I think the silky stuff would rip. Super glue! Haha the slippery inside sucks at first but stops slipping after a while. My Faust were like that on the inside and they’re fine now

But now I only see missing the drop, then going to stockx and every shoe has arbitrary prices based on what people like or hate. If I was that age again, I wouldn't be into that at all. You look up a shoe and it's $300, $400. I sold a pair of shoes that I paid $100 back in 2006, on ebay for $400 almost $500. You can't skate it or you get dirty looks from a kid that thinks you're destroying a nugget of mythril. @@DavidBluetile

I think I explained that in this video. But to explain again the sb website names the box era not the box color each shoe comes in. We are in the sail box era meaning quickstikes that come out in this era come in a sail box and all GR will come in a purple box. Orange label = brown box. Some broad distribution stuff may still come in teal boxes We just exited the rainbow box era so there will be no more rainbow box quickstrikes. These particular dunks in this video are GR dunks vs the Rayssa are a QS. Etc I hope that clears things up!!

Both pairs just needed contrasting mid/outsoles. The whole tonal bottoms (even with Color theory book of colors pairs) just aint it. Prefer the burgandy tbh give lobster/cigar vibes. Black midsole would have really set it off.

Quick strikes are called “energy product” and can speak to market trends more quickly by telling current stories. It’s more of addition to the line. GRs are in line product that we order when we see the seasonal line…. Uhhh does that make sense? Like… currently we are ordering shoes for holiday 24 …. There will be no quickstrikes on our orders because those are “injected” into the line … umm quickly ? Haha
They just change the box color every so many years. Rainbow boxes were the QS boxes but now the QS boxes are sail or cream as you called it. The purple box is for GR releases.

So elegant with the satin like ballet shoes and the creamy color, the minimalistic look that subtly draws you in to more details the more you look at it.. the red thread and the sole design is more beautiful than on the burgundy ones. It's such a beautiful, clean and neat fusion of romantic elements from paris, asia.. Can you convince nike to make some smaller sizes for women? 🥹🥹😭😭 Ive never wanted any pair this bad lol... And honestly i didnt find any other white/coconut milk colorway that's this good or any other sneaker with this beautiful satin/velvetty look except maybe strangelove which is too loud in my pov

Since the white (bone) pair was rumored, it just made me think of the Dover Street dunks with the suede. The bone pair are very nice.
