Eli is one of the few creators that have had staple mods in the games i play. She is top tier at what she does and deserves to be paid for her quality work.
Even though I would never personally use this set, I would totally buy it if it replaced NPC Crimson fleet ship interiors, since it would make me boarding them to visit New Commonwealth Justice on the pirates that much more immersive. That said, definitely looking forward to Elianora's upcoming Freestar Collective & Constellation hab creations (especially if the former uses Stroud-Eklund exteriors, since I use Stroud Eklund habs a lot).
I can agree to a point. Pirates are infamous for stealing other people's stuff. So it does make more sense to have a mix of welded bits, pieces, and parts than to be manufacturing their own habs like a viable business.
Even though I like the aesthetic of the Ancient Mariner more (no disrespect to Elianora intended), this set is a much better deal and shows what could be, should be done with all sets.
For sure, having a "complete" set so you can create an entire Ship (at least from the interior perspective) in the same theme for a reasonably low price ($5 vs $10) is more in line with what people will likely consider fair. As for this theme, Pirate, it's certainly NOT for everyone, but this is likely only the beginning of what will come down the pipe. Let's hope they're all as creative as Elianora is.
Thanks for all the great Starfield content! Super helpful for all my ship building. I am in love with these habs, I would love to see a video finding the best locations for doors in them as I am struggling because I just don’t want to loose anything. Way more detail than the base game habs!

Not gonna lie, those look AMAZING, I might get it, But, I'm no sure I will use too often since it looks so dirty, which is Great, but I'm not a fan of such a mess, hahahaha. I hope to see some more clean and properly organized habs in the future, even some from Deimos are still a bit messy for military standards and specially for my standards, hahahaha. Creations on Starfield is being great so far, I feel like in a near future more people will go back to the game once we get more mods and the DLC release.
I am with this. I love Elianora's mods, especially her homes. And this very much fits in with her cluttered, lived in design style. But I just can't see myself using this one because of how dirty and trashed everything is. Which is not a reflection on the quality of her work, to be sure. Just a personal quirk of mine, where I find even the Taiyo habs to be too junked up to use. Now there is a mod that cleaned those habs up.. I would love to see something similar for these habs. Regardless of personal feelings, this is certainly a start. I love these modded habs of all sorts. The ship building system is one of my favorite parts, and I love new parts to work with. Hopefully we will continue to see more of them.

Elianoras work is always superb. i used all her player home and clothing store mods in fallout 4 its so immersive the way she decorated the faction player homes. if i ever make a pure pirate character i will be sure to pick her stuff up
Indeed. And she's already released an update patch that removes the trash piles, if that's something the player wants. So far, she's my favorite Modder! Though I'm not supposed to show bias in a video about a paid Mod.
Indeed, the Pirate life isn't for everyone. And I mean how messy the Pirates in Starfield always seem to be. You'd think someone would be like "where's the damn broom anyway?"
Oh I highly doubt it's 100%. I'd wager it's not even a 50/50 split but I haven't been able to find anyone who will share that information with me yet. I'm sure it'll come out eventually.

So this disables achievements on consoles? I just looked at it in store and it didnt say achievement friendly, and that would be a shame because for alot of pirate players this is like the immersion decor mod for that roleplay. It doesn't seem like her as a house creator for skyrim n such that this shouldn't be flagged as achievement friendly? Idk its cool hope to get clarification
Any mod, Creation or not will do that. Unless it's a straight texture replacer. Which is odd because as I remember using Creations in Skyrim or Fallout 4 doesn't. But maybe that changed when they combined the function of the paid mods (Creation Club) with the free mods available in game.
Yea I just figured she's prolly used existing assets n meshes in the prefabs but it's also on xbox so not as restrictive as Playstation was with club/mods. That's why I can't believe she dropped this as a creator and it's not ok'd by bethesda lol. Just seems unnecessarily weird
If Bethesda are going to push these as “mini dlc” and “creations” instead of mods they need to be approving verified creators mods for being achievement friendly if they’re not game breaker. I can’t be using all these awesome creations because I’m OCD and don’t want my main save tainted and have achievements disabled
@@delindsay while I agree that its annoying I feel like out of all of bethesda games starfield has the easiest to 100% achievements after a quick look at them all just a min ago... so while it would take one a bit to do so one would have free reign to dive into mods that disable it... also as a sidenote it makes a copy of your character for when playing with any mod that doesn't have a tag of achievement friendly so you will always be able to go back to your orignal character with achievements enabled if you disable/remove the mod without that tag
@@wasteexplorer1133 Keep in mind, at least early on, so many Quests were broken that people (myself included) had no choice but use the console to bypass some portion of it and have had Achievements turned off for that too.

This mod is something that I have to get it as it fits my pirate build well, and it looks awesome. The only thing is I hope that there will be other cockpits like the Taiyo one made like the one in the mod, because the one in the mod the top parts sticks out to high and doesn’t look good on the exterior of the ship.
Now that's more like it! Although tbh, since Crimson Fleet is a base game faction and Elianora being a Bethesda employee/contractor, this content should maybe have been included in the base game. But oh well, good content creators/modders deserve some compensation too. I just hope that free mods and proper DLC expansions won't become a thing of the past with this new content model. Though curating certain mods and content to make sure it all integrates and works well with the game without breaking stuff sure does make sense. Especially for consoles. But Bethesda delivering a barebones base game and then selling all content and features to pad it out into a full game piece by piece is not a business model i necessarily want to support.
I can say as fact that some Modders at least will be dropping totally free Mods along side their Paid versions. Now, will paid Mods be the default and free Mods be the exception? That's a harder question to answer.
This is awesome. They should have you do havs for the Trident luxury ships. Maybe then we'll eventually get them in game (dont care if they cant be modded in-game)
The thing that kills it for me is the overuse of the shredded metal floor cover. I don't care how messy you are, you're not going to have inches of shredded metal bit on the floor of EVERY room on a spaceship that has a chance of loosing gravity in battle. Toning that down a bit would go a long way. Also, why no 2 by 2 or larger rooms? There's a lot that could have been done with the bigger modules.
@@delindsay Honestly, i'm more puzzled that Roombas aren't a more common thing hundreds of years into the future. Especially on space ships. Or general housekeeping and cleaning robots as standard equipment. Or drones everywhere for various applications for that matter. One of the oversights of the devs which make the Starfield setting so sterile and not very believable. Too much focus on NASApunk, not enough attention to coherent general world building and details.
Is Nexus Mods' Eleonora (responsible for sooo many lovely detailed living mods for Fallout, Skyrim, aso.) and Elianora the same person behind? Because this CF modules have the same signature. Amazing details, great work. I like this! And for such passionate work i have no problem to pay some bucks. Unfortunately the mess... the untidy CF-style reminds me of my kids rooms and i prefer more cosy modules. But i'm sure Elianora will have something for me soon as well. Again - great work.
Yes, it's the same person. She has done so much work for so many of Bethesda's games. As a free mod creator, a paid mod creation through Creations and working directly with them on their games. She streams modding and playing the games as well.
It doesn't say it's Achievement friendly like a few others do so I'm betting it disables them. It's literally the dumbest choice by Bethesda to do this crap, lock Achievements because we dare to use the thing they're telling us to use.
@@bradleyjenkins2271 Mine have been disabled since week 1 when I had a Mission bug that required Console use to pass (known bug at that time, only work around at that time). It's absolutely stupid that any of this disables Achievements in a non-comparative, single player game.
To be fair to the ancient mariner hab i really like the aesthetic. I think its layout is meh, and it should be a clone of EVERY taio hab for $10. Maybe if it includes other habs in the future i will consider purchasing. But this crimson fleet set has some heart put in it. Im not big on fleet aesthetics,but the habs are fantastic and im buying the set for the 1x1s alone
You know, my question is how will these compete with what community modders create? You know there are gonna be mods that ket you take any in-game asset and use it for deco. In fact, there already are mods that add close to 300 in-game assets to outposts or ships. And as of just today, there are a couple of dozen or so new mods for SF on nexus already. I always get a little riled up every time bethesda pulls this stuff but so far each time, the modding community outdoes them by far. When fallout 4 came out, you could get almost every mod on nexus for your XBOX. It doesn't like that's going to be the case for SF, not yet anyway. I really hope consoles will get access tho.
It's so funny, because I just sub'd to her yesterday for a video about Modding in Starfield and then her video about this set popped and I was like, well goddamn I know what I'm doing tonight. Seems she's been at it since at least FO4?

"Cargo" Habs should have ALWAYS added to Cargo capacity, that was an oversight by BGS from the beginning. And if we're going to get into the details, the ENTIRE Ship builder has loads of imbalances along with things that make zero sense logically.
@@delindsay Sure, but this should be balanced by giving the cargo habs more mass. Similar how cockpits scale their cargo capacity with mass. Giving a 1x1 hab with just 5 mass in total 700 cargo is just inbalanced.
You failed to mention one detail. One that some will not care about but is an INSTANT DEAL KILLER for others. THIS DISABLES ACHIEVEMENTS! NO payed mod even something as ludicrous as a straight up god mode should disable achievements. Players are punished for spending money! NOT COOL!
I honestly didn't even realize that it disabled Achievements but from my understanding ALL Mods on the current iteration of the Creation Club does that and it's plain stupidity on Bethesda's part.
@delindsay as far as I can tell the ones labeled as made by Bethesda are labeled achievement friendly. So 3 or 4 of them are safe the rest punish you. It should be easy for them to label "verified creators" content as friendly. Free mods I see some room for debate on if it is OK to disable achievements or not. I don't like it but it is what it is. The PAID ones should NEVER penalize us. Ranting aside great job on the video.
@delindsay I agree. I play on PC and use the baka achievement enabler. I am not using any real mods I just use it to be able to use the command console to fix the game when it occasionally breaks. With out it Bye bye achievements.

I wish they would somehow make the computers work, connect to something. They’re there but can’t utilize them. What’s the point to having computers you can access/open up, if you can’t use them for anything. They should give you some type of knowledge like how much cargo on the ship, or ships health, or the quests you have available. But opening a computer that does nothing is…. Boring.
It's possible it was just my game. In her video she said the Crimson Fleet Mission Board works but it didn't for me, so could've just been a bug on my end.
I didn’t download that mod yet. I was thinking about it though. I’m glad you made a video, thank you. I definitely want to get this mod after seeing your video. I love that they added mods for ships. I also got the mod that adds diameter to the ship building.
I certainly wish they had included a full suite of habs for it. Or at that price an entire ship manufacturer with all the parts. That would have been worth it. But for two versions of one hab and a little bit of furniture, it's just too pricy for me.
What's with Bethesda's obsession with the idea that bad guys don't know how to sweep floors? I mean, I like the habs and the scrappy look of them.. but.. the Fallout raider-esque piles of trash? Come on now.
Nobody in Fallout seemed to know what a broom was for outside the Institute, so not a big surprise... I suppose we should be happy the Crimson Fleet didn't take to decorating with corpses too.

The exact spot I went into each was the LEAST intrusive, but even then still lost details.

I've always had a beef with that Cockpit for that very reason (the sticky up bit).

But Bethesda delivering a barebones base game and then selling all content and features to pad it out into a full game piece by piece is not a business model i necessarily want to support.
I can say as fact that some Modders at least will be dropping totally free Mods along side their Paid versions. Now, will paid Mods be the default and free Mods be the exception? That's a harder question to answer.
This is awesome. They should have you do havs for the Trident luxury ships. Maybe then we'll eventually get them in game (dont care if they cant be modded in-game)

I'd like to get the skull signs and cleaned versions of the habs. As nice as they look, I like a clean ship.
She has that as an Update, Crimson Fleet Habs: No Trash. The update is free once you've bought this Mod.

The thing that kills it for me is the overuse of the shredded metal floor cover. I don't care how messy you are, you're not going to have inches of shredded metal bit on the floor of EVERY room on a spaceship that has a chance of loosing gravity in battle. Toning that down a bit would go a long way.
Also, why no 2 by 2 or larger rooms? There's a lot that could have been done with the bigger modules.

@@delindsay Honestly, i'm more puzzled that Roombas aren't a more common thing hundreds of years into the future. Especially on space ships. Or general housekeeping and cleaning robots as standard equipment.

One of the oversights of the devs which make the Starfield setting so sterile and not very believable.
Too much focus on NASApunk, not enough attention to coherent general world building and details.

Is Nexus Mods' Eleonora (responsible for sooo many lovely detailed living mods for Fallout, Skyrim, aso.) and Elianora the same person behind? Because this CF modules have the same signature. Amazing details, great work. I like this! And for such passionate work i have no problem to pay some bucks. Unfortunately the mess... the untidy CF-style reminds me of my kids rooms and i prefer more cosy modules. But i'm sure Elianora will have something for me soon as well. Again - great work.

Yes, it's the same person. She has done so much work for so many of Bethesda's games. As a free mod creator, a paid mod creation through Creations and working directly with them on their games. She streams modding and playing the games as well.

It doesn't say it's Achievement friendly like a few others do so I'm betting it disables them. It's literally the dumbest choice by Bethesda to do this crap, lock Achievements because we dare to use the thing they're telling us to use.

@@bradleyjenkins2271 Mine have been disabled since week 1 when I had a Mission bug that required Console use to pass (known bug at that time, only work around at that time). It's absolutely stupid that any of this disables Achievements in a non-comparative, single player game.

To be fair to the ancient mariner hab i really like the aesthetic. I think its layout is meh, and it should be a clone of EVERY taio hab for $10. Maybe if it includes other habs in the future i will consider purchasing.
But this crimson fleet set has some heart put in it. Im not big on fleet aesthetics,but the habs are fantastic and im buying the set for the 1x1s alone
I like the Ancient Mariner also, as well as the Decorations tied to it. I just don't think it's worth the $10 price tag for the effort put into it.
You know, my question is how will these compete with what community modders create? You know there are gonna be mods that ket you take any in-game asset and use it for deco. In fact, there already are mods that add close to 300 in-game assets to outposts or ships.
And as of just today, there are a couple of dozen or so new mods for SF on nexus already. I always get a little riled up every time bethesda pulls this stuff but so far each time, the modding community outdoes them by far.
When fallout 4 came out, you could get almost every mod on nexus for your XBOX. It doesn't like that's going to be the case for SF, not yet anyway. I really hope consoles will get access tho.
It'll be interesting to see how they handle Console for sure.

Some habs seem a bit inbalanced. For example having a hab that weights 5 mass but adds 700 cargo is so much better than any cargo module.
"Cargo" Habs should have ALWAYS added to Cargo capacity, that was an oversight by BGS from the beginning. And if we're going to get into the details, the ENTIRE Ship builder has loads of imbalances along with things that make zero sense logically.
@@delindsay Sure, but this should be balanced by giving the cargo habs more mass. Similar how cockpits scale their cargo capacity with mass. Giving a 1x1 hab with just 5 mass in total 700 cargo is just inbalanced.

You failed to mention one detail. One that some will not care about but is an INSTANT DEAL KILLER for others. THIS DISABLES ACHIEVEMENTS! NO payed mod even something as ludicrous as a straight up god mode should disable achievements. Players are punished for spending money! NOT COOL!
I honestly didn't even realize that it disabled Achievements but from my understanding ALL Mods on the current iteration of the Creation Club does that and it's plain stupidity on Bethesda's part.
@delindsay as far as I can tell the ones labeled as made by Bethesda are labeled achievement friendly. So 3 or 4 of them are safe the rest punish you. It should be easy for them to label "verified creators" content as friendly. Free mods I see some room for debate on if it is OK to disable achievements or not. I don't like it but it is what it is. The PAID ones should NEVER penalize us. Ranting aside great job on the video.

@delindsay I agree. I play on PC and use the baka achievement enabler. I am not using any real mods I just use it to be able to use the command console to fix the game when it occasionally breaks. With out it Bye bye achievements.

I wish they would somehow make the computers work, connect to something. They’re there but can’t utilize them. What’s the point to having computers you can access/open up, if you can’t use them for anything. They should give you some type of knowledge like how much cargo on the ship, or ships health, or the quests you have available. But opening a computer that does nothing is…. Boring.
It's possible it was just my game. In her video she said the Crimson Fleet Mission Board works but it didn't for me, so could've just been a bug on my end.

I certainly wish they had included a full suite of habs for it. Or at that price an entire ship manufacturer with all the parts. That would have been worth it. But for two versions of one hab and a little bit of furniture, it's just too pricy for me.
What's with Bethesda's obsession with the idea that bad guys don't know how to sweep floors? I mean, I like the habs and the scrappy look of them.. but.. the Fallout raider-esque piles of trash? Come on now.
Nobody in Fallout seemed to know what a broom was for outside the Institute, so not a big surprise... I suppose we should be happy the Crimson Fleet didn't take to decorating with corpses too.
