Just wanna remind everyone that missionaries are real people. It's fine if you don't agree with their beliefs, just at least be nice about it. That's all anyone can ask for. These are people that spend 2 years of their lives hundreds of miles away from their families just trying to share something they are passionate about. It's a hard and courageous thing to do and they did nothing to deserve the hate they often get.

“Flip your kid off to see their reaction”? That is immature, inappropriate and just bad parenting. That’s not a joke it definitely sends a message to them.
I mean depends on the child and family dynamic. Some families are very laid back and poke fun at each other and insult each other as a joke. If it was a very formal family that doesn't normally do that, then that would be mean. But if the family normally goofs around like that then it's fine. For me personally, I grew up with brothers who liked throwing insults at each other for jokes. We would roast each other when we were playing video games to make the others laugh. But there were a few friends I had where if I made even small jokes like "dang! you're an idiot" (obviously lighthearted and after they did something silly) they would get really offended and get quiet. Because their family didn't do that. So it's just a family dynamic thing. I still flip my brothers off sometimes just for fun lol 🤣🤣
Oh and my parents also would poke fun and laugh with us. It wasn't just me and my brothers doing it.

Same. In our apartments there was a Mormon church that would rent a apartment and then move Mormons in and out at random while they went around the area every day to spread the word. Ushally the ones that would just get moved the apartment would start in the apartment complex and spread their way outward. So they became common place. And I'd have to wait for them to start their speech because my dad was the manager and maintenance guy so you didn't know if they actually needed something fixed or whatever, or if they were just wasting your time
