The best is 300 watt model, its all you'll need for 5 to 20+ amps of night and storm day charging. Dumb question, I see swipower makes 230-240 version snd it’s still “American.” On the selection for plug type. Does that mean it’s split phase?
@@Deveak You can get that from their rack units, 24 and 48 volt but no on the split phase on the base models. But you may want to contact them on their store contact via Aliexpress and get a updated answer. The USA plug for Split phase would be the 20/30 amp style, not the 15/20 styles. Or they would be hard wired only.

Ive noticed with some inverters ive had that the ac voltage drops the higher load i have on them and also if the battery voltage gets lower, that too seems to drop the ac voltage.

The 1000 to 2000 board idles at means average of 7.8 watts, 0.55 amps. In colder weather it may exceed 9 watts. BUT, Stay tuned, 6000 watt Swi Power video is in the que and processing. It has a 15.65 watt idle.

Much less now but with a home and everything I have fully paid for already I just let folks who want to support the channel and make suggestions, get answers, and be part of it to do it freely without allowing the corporate masters put a cent into how anything is done.
I think thats a novelty inverter... its only function is to be able to say ya got a 3000 watt inverter. Best to buy quality like the low frequency sungold power
I use both. I prefer the sungold that is running the majority of my place, but the tools and shop and odd things I run on the cheaper inverters. All my wiring is dedicated circuits. None is or ever was existing when I began.

It’s always a trade off. Every time you go up in voltage the equipment is more specialized and expensive. I settled on a 24 volt system, it makes the wire runs manageable and most solar appliances are dual voltage. A 48 volt system is 100% an inverter based system, I’ve seen very little DC appliances for it aside from wide input LEDs and VERY expensive pumps. 12 volts is the most serviceable with the most amount of off the shelf options. Just very limited in size.

@@grumpyjohntxredneckrc6346 mostly talking availability of parts, 12 and somewhat 24 is automotive so you have the economy of scale making certain parts cheaper. Like fuses, breakers etc. I might end up with a 48 volt system one day but I will most likely keep a 12 or 24 volt side system for critical loads, like pumps, fans, gates and electric fences. 12 volt sources of power are the easiest to come up with. Just limited in size.
You do realize that a 12v and a 48v are the same. You can take 4 12v batteries and wire them in series to get 48v. The reason 12v is still so prevalent is because RVs have 12v systems and so do cars.
I can't see anyone being a true prepper using anything more than 12 volt or 36 volt. The 2 most common voltages for auto, marine and aircraft. So if SHTF you can convert or divert. Plus, your 48 volt, the limited resources of suppliers OWN you!
