    Was it Aquinas that discussed the nature of things, that everything and everyone has a purpose, and that righteous living is to live according to our purpose? So for good teacups, it is to hold the tea well for us to drink it, and for humans it is to live in such a way as to reveal and not conceal the imago dei. Apart from the physics aspect, I'd like to see a return to this kind of goodness.

      Well, I reckon that does sound like something Aquinas would say. And I extremely agree.

    "Don't stop with philosophy. We need some dang science!" - what 'dang science' mean here? Was it said by Descartes, or it's yours?

      That was just me. It's like a child-friendly American version of "D@mm1t, we need science!"
