Cool and informative video. But I disagree with the aspect of you bashing third-party hotel booking sites and then pushing an Ad for another third-party site at the end of your video, which I think is not really cool.
Informative video. 3rd party hotel bookings, yeah. I just learned this the hard way. My recent stays, all at Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott properties, no credit for those hotel stays. Really sad. Again, thanks. I found it informative.
Ehh never had a problem canceling with Expedia as long as you get the free cancelation option. Also the rewards add up compared to being loyal to one hotel chain. We payed for a whole five night stay in Maui with just Expedia reward points
Great video! I especially loved your tips on AirBNB. After two disastrous experiences with AirBNBS overseas, we had sworn them off. Now, I'm beginning to rethink that as we start planning our November trip to Prague.
Wow just finding out about Google hotels is worth the time to watch this video. But I have a question. I saw a great rate at a Marriott in Orlando ($99) and with taxes it said $111.45 as a TOTAL payment. But then below that it said "$45 resort fee". Does that mean the resort fee is embedded in the cost or extra? Because, after all, it says TOTAL COST.
Absolutly Not true about booking through a 3rd party ........I have been using Orbitz for years and I can gurantee, every single time the price directly at the hotels are always way more...The only positive about booking directly with the hotel are these hotel points...which in the end is nothing compare to what you save using a 3rd party
I’m glad you’ve had great experiences! We’ve run into several customer service issues w/ third parties. And I like the perks of the hotel loyalty programs! Do what works for you! Happy travels
Hi, You surprised me because I'm doing the research about how to find best hotel princes in turkey, This one I plan to explore Marmaris, Bodrum after Antalya and Istanbul. I think prices are very high in 2024. Thank for your comment ;) .

I worked in 2 hotels and I totally agree with you in every single point you touched on, you are a legend!
Can I use your hotel discount 😂
What is the best hotel to become a member with
@@wubbied4575I'm a big fan of Marriott because they have the most hotels worldwide.

good rythem og the video with just the right info and build up.
5 free nights a year from credit cards!? We need this in Canada! Great to learn from someone who actually has experience redeeming points and miles.
For real. Feels almost too good to be true. One year we got something like 30 hotel nights from free night credits + points redemptions!
@awaytogether How much work was it or it didn't require any additional paperwork & receipts?
With regard to Hotel Tonight, why can't hotels just discount their own rooms at the last minute?

Thank you
I like your content, but you gotta get a microphone and a studio so there’s not that background echo
Thanks for your feedback! Invested in a better mic and some acoustic panels since filming this
It’s really not that bad

Third parties tack on more charges. When you get to the property there are always additional fees to pay
@awaytogether I had few issues w/ hotelstonight actually, pre COVID19.

Best travel website for hotels
You do NOT want to go to Ankara, Turkey right now. Prices are through the roof.

@@chebilimed1017 your first month with Air BnB will be your cheapest. I got in for $300, but the following month, those prices disappeared.
Ugh alaska is so expensive
Waste time, this video just all about ads
Hotel Tonga is a scam.
Very seldom found the hotel rate cheaper.
Quite misleading and inaccurate video
