Because of how old this vid is I doubt I’m gonna get a response, but I have a 4.0 V6 Exploder (explorer) with a cherry bomb (yes very cursed I’m aware), would it make that quieter or louder?
You really should run a larger exhaust pipe, the stock size on the f150 is way to small and chokes the engine. After my y pipe I have 3.5 inch tube going back, much better
Yup I tried to install mine and the screws instantly stripped themselves and became worthless. If you are buying a tip from DC Sport you NEED to replace their shitty stamped Chinese screws with real stainless steel ones.

Hey I have a question did it actually make it sound deeper or anything or did it not I’m just looking for something cheap to make my car sound deeper and more kinda like a muscle car I know I won’t get it exact but this seemed like a cool idea
It did change the sound a bit, but I doubt it would make it the deeper, throatier level of rumble that you're looking for. This is more-so a cosmetic upgrade

How’s your exhaust tip holding up? I’m putting it on today but I’ve started hearing there is issues with the finish coming off
It has held up great. I saw those reviews on Amazon about the finish coming off but that has not happened to me yet.
Pete Rogers i have the same one on my Colorado. The bolts will start rusting, and the paint will start flaking....it’s only a matter of when.
JohnnyTactical305 yea it’s gonna happen. The heat cycles are hard on paint. Best thing you can do is spray the bolts with rust protect so you can one day get the piece of shit off

Does it make you car louder
It changes the sound a bit but I do not think it makes the truck any louder. More of a lower, rumbling noise if anything

My truck is the same color but 2wd and the 4.6. I'm at a cross road on lights, smoke vs clear. If I could do fender flares I would go with smoke but I can't see putting fender flares on a 2wd. It just ain't right ya know. I have a chrome push bar and step bars that I got used and free. Powder coating or plasti dipping them black is an option but that all rides on my decision of clear or smoke lights. Do you think your headlights are darker at night than if they were clear?
David Roberts well, my headlights are blacked out on the inside of the lights but the glass/plastic housing is clear, not smoked. They aren’t any darker than the stock ones. I am a huge fan of blacking out over chrome though and Plasti Dip is a great way to do that without spending crazy amounts of money

Have a 2021Colorado Z71. Want to give it a v8 sound. Will exhaust tip do the job?
The exhaust tip alone won't be enough. Might want to look into a muffler swap if you don't wanna get an entire new exhaust system
That V6 will never sound like a V8. The best bet with a V6 for a nice sound is to get a fender draw cold air intake that deletes the baffles in the intake piping
