From Italian Movie notebook: The beginning Mussolini scenes had us confused at the Theatre. Thought it was from intermission or newsreel. One Italian actor that was great was Anna Magnani. Sofia Loren Gina Lolabrigida were most celebrated, but never delivered a performance like Anna. Perhaps she'll be rediscovered soon? Just... last night was reciting the tag line . Viola! Was reciting Seven Beauties line- O 'Yeh!
Thanks for posting this. It sounds like it was taken directly from a DVD or Blu Ray. So was this soundtrack EVER released in Italy on vinyl back in 1975? I have never been able to find a trace of it. I wonder if the original audio tapes exist somewhere in a vault. The soundtrack to Swept Away is available on CD and LP.
Yes this is from a DVD rip, not ideal but the best thing available. It does not appear that the soundtrack has ever been released. I wouldn't be surprised if this film gets a restoration sometime soon.
@@jasonzuriff1399 I wonder if the composer is still alive and if the original music masters are buried in a vault. This happened with Bernard Hermann's IT'S ALIVE soundtrack, long thought lost. Someone did find it but unfortunately it was a mono recording. The complete SCARFACE soundtrack has also materialized in the last few years along with THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH. So it is possible!
Tira a Campa is so good, holy shit.....
For real
Thanks for posting this. Watched it again last night and now I can’t get Tira a Campa out of my head!

I have been looking all over for this. Thank you for bringing this to #youtube. Excellent content creator right here.

What a lousy transcript. Not even close. But still happy to find this here. One of my absolute favorite movies.

@@tristerojade8543 I read somewhere that the opening narration and music is a parody of a popular hit song in Italy around 1975.
